I don't know what happened to the store. I was there this past week, and most of their employees I knew are gone. From what I gather, it has to do with the ownership, which is sad because they had really good employees. Nothing against the new ones of course. I also hear they're having issues with gunsmithing repairs. I met this guy and he's been waiting for his firearms to be repaired for months. I just don't know if it's still a good place to go. Shipped a gun I bought out of state to be processed for pickup at The Armories. Despite being delivered timely, and me waiting over 24 hours to come get it from delivery notification. They refused to unpack it till they had time to "process" it. This took over 4 days for them to do. Will never use them again. read more

Horrible customer service. I understand being busy but this is the second time I have shipped a firearm to them that was purchased online. On both occasions they waited over two days to just receive it into their system. Went in to try and get the gun and was told I see the box but you have to wait till next week when someone can receive it in our system. I have a CCW and the firearm was paid for. No one should have to wait a week because you can't open a box. read more

Don't shop here if you are a person of color. First of was treated weird when we walked in nobody approached us for help. Then on top of that I came in with my 2 of brothers to help me choose which firearm I should purchase (keep in mind they are legal to carry and have gun license). When it came time to purchase I pulled my money out of my bag to purchase and was told "I don't think you are buying this gun for yourself" then was threatened and told "I could go to jail for up to 10 years for purchasing a firearm for someone else. Keep in mind the firearm is for me so I told him it was for me and he still pushed the issue as if it wasn't and told me he can cancel the transaction. I told him to give me my money back. I went to Orlando FFL up the street and purchased my firearm with no problem and it actually came up cheaper there anyway. Morals of the story don't shop here if you don't want to be profiled. I didn't know it was illegal to have people help you pick out your firearms but I guess it is here. At that there was other people in the store purchasing there firearms with no problem but as soon as 3 black males walk in where profiled as if we are doing something illegal. I been buying guns since I was 21 and never ran into any problems till I came here. read more

If you're considering patronizing the Armories in Winter Garden Fl, DO IT. Even though usually always busy they have always assisted me with my needs and issues. Today I went to the Winter Garden location and was helped by Brandon. I explained that I was having issues with a 308 SFAR I had recently purchased. I explained I did not purchase it from them, even though I did inquire months back if they could order one for me, however they were the "receiving" FFL for me with this purchase. Once I explained to Brandon what the rifle was doing and he knew it was in my vehicle in the parking lot, he asked if I would bring it inside so he could look at it to make sure it was safe to shoot. I appreciated this even though I felt it was absolutely Safe. I brought it inside and he and another employee looked it over. After asking me several more questions Brandon assisted me with a different type of ammo to try to see if the rifle would cycle correctly. I went stright to the nearest range and to my surprise the rifle cycled and functioned flawlessly. (First time it did) Even though I went to this location just to simply buy a different type of ammunition to try in this gun, Brandon took the time to inquire about what my gun was doing, and the issues I was having. Pros: They see you from 100 yards meet you at the door and will get you in and out in 00:30 seconds. Gunsmith is a highly advanced android who produces fine work and is respected by his peers in and around the surrounding areas. The staff does not make small talk which is great, you wont have to hear about truckgun, battlerifle or shtf kit. I made a Cyborg laugh which made my life that much better. Cons: Prices a bit high, gunsmith starts at about $70 hr but they do have the tools and the hands for the job. read more

Staff moved quick and was helpful. Ammo so reasonably priced but limited. Fairly stocked with guns, however if you are from out of state they will ship it back to your state to another FFL dealer. So you might want to shop somewhere else. Stocked with gear that you would need for various applications. I'll buy ammo from them but I will buy firearms elsewhere. Place is clean and neatly stocked with plenty of open space to look around. It has a HMWVV parked outside with only one way onto their parking lot and that is from Highway 50. read more

This used to be my favorite gun store but lately the service is horrible. They never seem to have enough people on duty. I left a gun with them to be cleaned and safety checked and it took a month to get it back. I sent a gun to Cajun Gunworks through them to have some work done on it. When they got the gun back they wanted me to do a background check on a gun I already own. Their computer paperwork system is horrible. I don't think I will ever do business with them again. read more

Bought new shotgun for $400.After realizing mistake went back to return unfired gun and purchase something else. Was told that too much time had passed end all they can do is $75 credit toward the purchase of new gun because my gun is considered used and they have to sell it to wholesalers.I end up selling it to the friend and did not buy anything else from them.It never will again. read more

Tried addressing a situation with an employee named jason. Hes very rude and not helpful at all. Tried charging me for a install that was not done properly and continued being being rude when I pointed out that it wasnt right. He then told me that if I didn't like it I shouldn't come back here. So unprofessional.... Ended up being taken care of by a professional customer service employee, younger guy I can't remember his name. Spent a considerable amount of money on firearms at this store during the silencer co sale after it was recommended by a friend. Bought an used pistol from them and on the first trip to the range it had consistent issues with ammo that my Glock 17 and CZ scorpion ate without issue. Took it in to be looked at by their gunsmith and was returned with a stiffer spring. Issues persisted with more than a third FTF. Second time their gunsmith said there was nothing to do because he didn't have issues with more expensive ammo. Manager stated he could only offer $300 less than what I paid a month ago even when 1/4 of that time was spent in their gun shop. Manager also offered to put the gun on consignment and take %25. Don't purchase and expect them to stand behind their items. read more

I called in and spoke with Ben and asked about inventory on Glock 19 Gen 5's. He answered my basic questions on the phone and told me they had inventory. I went in a few hours later and met Ben in person, he was really nice and knocked out my questions without issue. I told him I was a vet and got a nice discount, which made the price very attractive so I purchased the gun on the spot and am picking it up next week. I recently went into this location to get two different firearms cleaned because I have had great luck with the location on Aloma Avenue, but their gunsmith wasn't in. I called ahead and they assured me they could have my weapons cleaned the following day. I picked up my weapons the following day and brought them home. Upon looking at the outside of the weapon I noticed 3 rust stains on the barrel and the slide of my shot gun. I brought the gun to the Armories on Aloma in hopes they could help me with the issue and they found more, but luckily told me exactly what I needed to clean the gun. I went to get the firearms cleaned professionally to save time and to get an excellent cleaning. I am disappointed I spent the money to have to spend the rest of my Saturday afternoon correcting an issue I shouldn't have had to. read more

First, this places doesn't look like much from the outside but, it's actually a really nice gun store for it's size. Lots of nice Sig stuff. My wife bought her first gun here about 2 months ago. She got a Sig Legion p226. Although we got the gun at a great price, I was a little disappointed in the process. After waiting about a week for the gun to come in from their other store (about a 30 min drive away), it was obvious the pistol was a heavily handed display model. Some of the finish had rubbed off in a couple of spots and they actually tried to spray paint the finish back on... and had I not been there, my wife would have left with a $1,400 pistol that had been spray painted. So, we asked for another pistol and it ended up taking about another 2-3 weeks to get it. The pistol we got was great and the staff seems pretty decent here but, the spray paint and the time it took to get the gun was not great. I'd still shop here and I plan to but, I wish they would have done a little better at making my wife's first gun purchase a better experience. read more

I usually select BMG Tactical tactical in Winter Garden they charge a $20 FFL fee. BMG Tactical was not on the sellers list so i had to choose The Armories, their charges were $45 for verifying my Drivers license and Concealed weapons permit. read more
