Stacy Rutledge in finance seems to be dodging calls and not returning messages. After explaining the circumstances, I asked the receptionist if I could hold until she was free and was flat out told no, I would have to leave another message since "Stacy is busy." I guess if you aren't actively making a purchase, your calls no longer matter. I was able to instantly get a hold of finance before our purchase closed. I live about 5 hours away and work full time so really can't swing a quick pop-in, but might have to find an excuse to travel to Anderson to have my questions addressed. Maybe someone will get back to me after this review since nothing else seems to be working. Aside from this weeks-long run-around, the rest of my experience was great. Spencer in sales was awesome and worked quickly to help us with our purchase, always responded to our questions - even if he didn't have an answer at the moment, and really went out of his way in providing excellent customer service. My family and I came in to see what was on the lot! No intention of buying anything that day. It was raining hard, our umbrellas were trying to blow out of our hands, so windy. MR. Steve Glarson was our salesman. He got my mom an umbrella and proceeded to show us what was on the lot. The options we were showed were phenomenal and so much more than we dreamed for ourselves. Recently, I stopped by to exchange a part and grab a few things we needed for a quick skylight repair on our travel trailer. Now, I wandered in alone while my husband stayed back to work. As I walked through the doors I was greeted by a staff member right away. Moments later, another customer came in and started trying to engage with me in a flirtatious manner while I was standing at the register. The staff member behind the desk told me that if said customer was making me uncomfortable, to please let him know and they would take care of it. I really appreciated his read on the situation and his respectful manner. He walked me over to the isle to find the other items I was looking for, and made sure I left with what I needed without any uncomfortable encounters or aimless wandering looking for what I needed. TIME LINE: We purchase 05/03/2025 We purchase a Brand new 2024 Jayco Alante 27A POA10034 alone with an extended warranty on. Since then we decided to cancelled our extended warranty and received confirmation on 12/11/2025 from Bruce in the Finance Department. It was told by Bruce that once our M&T Bank receives the check from them Anderson Camping World they would immediately put it towards the principal balance. Bruce also said that Assurant which is another company that sometimes plays a roll on co-op on extended warranty may have a monetary value in it (you would think that he would know this information being the finance manger). 2/23/26 On this day I called to see if they received any checks from Anderson Camping World and Chris said that they haven't received any funds. Chris from M&T Bank, went on to say to make sure I get a check #, Date it was sent out and the amount and forward this information to him. 02/23/2025 I called Assurant Company and they confirmed that they have no interest nor a monetary value in our Jayco Alante. Assurant said that it is the responsibility of Anderson Camping World to issue this refund check to M&T bank. So I call Anderson Camping World again and the operator said that Bruce is out that she will give him the mess and gave me a phone number to call that handles all the finance she went on to say that they don't have a finance department and she gave me a phone number to contact 1-888-450-0282. I went on to say how is it the you don't have a finance department nor an accounting department? you have to pay bills like the light, gas parts and payroll etc. 02/23/2025 I called that number and a gentleman named Bryson answered and I explained my situation and he said that they have no connection with Anderson Camping World to call them back. I called them back and explain to the operator that the number given has not affiliation with you. That I need to speak with Bruce and asked for the General Manger with regards to this matter, she gave me the name of John Leg as the General manger and hung up on me. This is very unprofessional of the operator and their customer service given and misleading information of another finance department passing the buck. At this point I'm not very happy with how they handle my situation. My only hope is that I get my refund back now and get a call back from Bruce or there General Manger John Leg. I didn't want to write a BAD review but this place gave me no choice. Promised the moon and stars. Our trailer got delivered before it got CLEANED!!!! The shower door broke a long the way and still hasn't been replaced. They took it back and didn't fix ANYTHING and they didn't even finish washing or cleaning it. The sales rep hired his MOTHER to clean it. She did an amazing job but poor thing!!!! Now after a month of use, the water tank has a bacteria problem and the manager refuses to make this right, help us and we never received the manual. My advice is go ANYWHERE BUT HERE. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Camping World in Redding. I purchased a brand new trailer from them in May 2025, and I've been making payments ever since--yet I've barely had it in my possession for even a full month. On our very first trip, the door literally fell off. When I brought it back, I was told the repair wouldn't be covered under the factory warranty--because Camping World had already submitted a claim for the same repair before I ever bought it. I'm the original owner, and was never told this trailer had prior issues or that they had already done a shoddy patch job. They kept the trailer for two weeks to "fix" the door, and when I went to pick it up, I discovered they had punctured the 5" steel tongue frame with a forklift. No one told me--they just hoped I wouldn't notice. When I called them out on it, the service manager shrugged it off and said, "I have a welder; I can fix it." This is a brand new $40,000 trailer--your team couldn't fix a door properly, and now you want to cut and weld the frame? Worse, I called the manufacturer directly, and they said if Camping World touches the frame, my extended warranty--which I paid $4,000 for just three weeks earlier--will be voided. For the first month and a half, I was blocked from speaking directly to the General Manager. I kept getting shuffled between other employees, none of whom would give me their contact information or take ownership of the problem. Since then, it's been constant runaround, empty promises, and zero accountability. It's now October, and the issue still hasn't been resolved. I've owned this trailer for five months, and due to Camping World's incompetence and negligence, I haven't even been able to use it. Do not trust Camping World Redding. Worst. Worst. Worst. Experience! Our brand new trailer leaked at the vent in the kitchen area. So it needed warranty work done I towed it 178 miles was told someone would help me disconnect no one helped! That was Oct 11th 2022 35 days passed and NO contact from our service provider Bryan Royce. So I called and spoke with Beth 2 times both times I was told I would get a call back. Nothing. At day 55 still no contact from Mr. Royce my husband called and Bryan said come get it it's done he thinks. He will call us back and let us know for sure. So we start making plans to come get it. I have to take off work and arrange for kids to get to school. Bryan called us back and said no were still waiting on Forest river. Forest river and camping world went back and fourth for over a month. (I know not camping worlds fault). This trailer was leaking before we got it. That fan/vent NEVER worked. So I was worried about mold (my son has breathing issues) so they took the vent apart above my bed and sent me pictures of that. I am still confused on that one. Nothing was wrong with that vent not one single leak on the bedroom vent. But they still took it apart ( don't worry I got all the screws and debris off my bed) Fast forward to January 31st 113 days after we dropped it off I go pick it up. Was told it was gonna be washed and cleaned up. I get there it was never washed. They had to take it and go clean the inside as I was going to get my truck. It had trash all over the floor on the inside. The tires needed air. It was left unlocked out by the street. With my wheel chalks on the battery those are now rusted and breaking apart. For some reason my gray water was left 3/4 of the way full. And my generator has an additional 10 1/2 hours on it. Did I mention we bought this thing in April of 2022. And the best part the vent no longer works with the control panel only a remote. read more

Brought our RV to the CW in Anderson, less than stellar service. They replaced our roof and vents. Someone took a dump in our toilet and I guess they dry flushed it because it left a bit of a smelly mess. One of the newly installed vents wasn't installed properly and flew off on the way home. They sent someone to our home to fix it but they brought the wrong one then told us they would mail us the correct one which we could then install ourselves...........still waiting for it. read more

I am shocked to see the low ratings! I had the best experience with purchasing a new travel trailer here. I was in need of a trailer urgently when I called camping world sales department on a Saturday at noon. They are the only place that has a service department open on Saturday which is absolutely necessary if you need to make a same day purchase. Jason in sales and Stacey in finance went above and beyond for me and my family! They handled every detail from financing to full inspection of the trailer before I arrived. We drove 3 hours to get there and when we arrived we were greeted with hugs and a smooth transaction and tour of the entire trailer. I cannot say enough good things about the care provided to my family by Jason and Stacey. We live in Sonoma county and we're looking for a trailer for a few weeks and camping world crushed my area on pricing! The smoothness of the entire purchase process showed us what a well oiled experienced machine camping world is! This has been the worst buying experience I have ever had in my life. I do take responsibility for not taking the time to do my research and make sure I was not being taken advantage of but I was in a time crunch and trusted the sales rep and finance manager. I was sold a used 2019 camper and told because it was used for a few months it already took its massive depreciation and was already marked down so much that there is no way I would lose money in the deal the first year. Well now I see not even 4 months later you can buy the unit new for the same price. The dealership wont even take the unit back on consignment and if they do they want to give me half of what I paid which doesn't even cover the loan on the unit. Also there was issues with the unit once I got it home and it took forever to get it fixed (they broke the self leveling jacks and said they would fix them, the shower leaked all over the place inside the unit). When I asked about getting some kind of credit for all of the issued I went through I was basically ignored. All in all this has been an absolute terrible experience and an extremely expensive mistake on my part. I will never do business with Camping World again and I highly recommend that you avoid them unless you want to be taken advantage of. read more

We went to CampingWorld to purchase an RV as nothing to rent within 200 miles. We were never RV owners and my husband a service connected Vietnam Veteran has liver cancer so thought we'd go to CampingWorld. WHAT A MISTAKE AS THEY SOLD US A 2019 Keystone Bullet 27ft trailer UNFINISHED ON 12/8/18. The first time living in it was great and then it rained and it LEAKED... through the wall, windows, cupboard, floor and cargo hold. The trailer wasn't sealed on the top or the windows??? When I called CampingWorld Sean said that wasn't their problem as we wanted our money back and he said to call them as it's a manufacturing DEFECT as It wasn't their problem..Things have escalated and we had to vacate trailer and move back to hotel. We are so torn as CampingWorld even gouged us on price. We were taken advantage of being Campfire victims/survivors and cash in our pockets from allocated living expense from our insurance. Out of the year and a half that I have had my brand new trailer it's been in for repairs 3 times fixing over 10 different issues, for a total of 5 months. We have only use the trailer four times and after each time have to bring it in for repairs. This latest time I am out of warranty and instead of trying to help me resolve the issue I was told I should've bought the $3000 warranty and would I like to pay for it at this time. I was told that trailers are known to have issues and they always recommend the warranty. I just wish that they would use this in their sales pitch to help their customers make an informed decision. Well same old thing. We have called Redding Camping World service dept two more times with no return call. Manager Sean was supposed to call us back. I even called Keystone customer service and they called Camping World and told me that Sean would be in contact. No call a week later. Still supposedly waiting on parts, over two and 1/2 months now. One of the main things we took the trailer in for was our black water valve was leaking and/or staying open and filled the dump line every time I tried to dump. When I picked up the trailer they told me they fixed the black water valve. It's just like all the other stuff they said they fixed and did'nt. We had a bit of an emergency (needed a new roof on our home and nowhere warm for the kiddos to sleep unless we were going to check in to a hotel) and Jason and his amazing co-workers including Pedro (the tech that stayed after hours to get our trailer ready) and Stacy (in finance) bent over backwards to help me and my family. Where to start. I bought a used trailer here that had plenty of use damage, ie trim boards hanging broken doors, missing mattress, and a good cleaning. When I bought the trailer I was promised that the repairs would be made and trailer would be clean. When I arrived to pick it up some repairs were made but most of them were not, it wasnt cleaned, and ine of my dinnette chairs had disappeared. This Company doesn't deserve any positive rating. I'd give it a -5 stars. We searched for the trailer of our dreams. To be able to travel in our retirement. When we found it in Touson, Az. at the Camping World. We agreed on a price for a 2021 New Trailer. Put our down payment and agreed in 2 weeks to pick it up. We were so excited. We traveled from Riverside, Ca. to Tousun, Az. This is a 7 hour drive. When we arrived at Camping World we were ushered to an office to wait till our trailer was ready for us. After 30 min. We demanded to see the trailer. They had two weeks to get the trailer ready. To our horror we were presented with what you call a lot rot trailer. Everyone is free to eat, sleep, use the restroom and what ever else??? I was in tears, my husband couldn't even comprehend what was going on. It was like everyone there knew about this trailer but us. we didn't even have a place to stay for the night, because we were going to be staying in the NEW trailer. Not once did they apologize, nor offer to pay for a hotel, or gas money. We will never step foot in a Camping World nor give they any of our money . Worst experience of our lives.
