Lovely laid back atmosphere. With the construction going on in the street, you've got to be pretty committed to finding parking and weaving yourself around the barriers. Once inside, you're rewarded with highly skilled and attentive waitstaff. I've been wanting to come here for a long time. We came in on a Saturday evening and everything was wonderful. I don't know what they dusted the nachos with but they are amazing. What a charming little place! The ambiance in this restaurant is what really caught me; it's summer camp themed (complete with a canoe hanging from the ceiling) and it's just....so, so cozy. Like upscale camping. For dinner we started with wings (we went with the dry rub, which was totally the right choice- it allowed us to try all 3 sauces (our fav was the spicy one, but the sweet sauce was good, too. not a fan of the white sauce). For dinner, I had the pasta special (which they make every Wednesday) and would totally have it again! It was a blackended sauce over a sausage/shrimp/chicken combo, and dang...idk where they get their sausage, but it was so full of flavor! The *meh* of the meal was the burger. It was a little overcooked and just not memorable. The fries were SOLID though! I 100% plan on returning (especially during a chilly autumn evening) to enjoy this super cozy place. My daughter and I were lucky to get in without a reservation at dinner time. From the time we opened the door we knew we were going to have a great time. People chatting happily, wine glasses all about. Incredibly smelling food and staff that made us feel welcome. We were able to get a seat outside amongst the beautiful flowers and a cool breeze. The wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and as the rains came in, they didn't forget us. And what fun sitting under a big umbrella during the rain and dining without getting wet. It was just awesome. Now the food! The Burnt Ends! Delicious appetizer! The Cole slaw was the best I've ever had and the burgers were cooked perfectly and so tasty. We loved the food at this place and have been several times. The food is excellent and the staff is usually friendly, but they struggle with having enough space. On our most recent dinner there, our party of five finished eating and was asked to move to the wine room. There were no seats available in the wine room and the worker started clearing the table as if we'd done something wrong by not leaving as soon as the bill was paid. Just stopped in while on vacation in the area. One of the best meals we had. Started with the Fish Dip, made with smoked trout and Salmon. I had the feature burger and my wife had the Trout. The food was good, the portions good, it was clean, and all of the staff we interacted with could not have been friendlier. The food was absolutely superb. We had the burnt ends and the spinach queso as appetizers, and it didn't last long on the table. The burnt ends I can't say enough good things about. The sauce was really delicious. The greens tasted fresh. The prime rib is made fresh and you gotta go earlier in the day to avoid it cooking through and getting it more done than medium rare. We had ours medium as it was what was left and it was amazing. The grilled vegetables side had zucchini and carrot and was simply delicious. We also took cheesecake to go which I hadn't tried as of this review but it's homemade and I expect it to be as good as everything else I had. Totally a gem of a restaurant, if you're visiting the Hendersonville area make sure to call for a reservation as they get busy. read more

We decided to try Tuesday's Fried Chicken Night. The chicken was pretty good but the cuts could've been plumper. You get three sides. Some were better than others. The Mac 'n Cheese was not served warm, but even after being corrected, it wasn't all that good. The mashed potato's were fine as was the tomato salad. We had a couple of cocktails and the smoked fish dip to start which was delicious, the grilled trout and the classic burger for dinner, both simple and perfectly cooked and seasoned. We'd heard about the Campfire Grill but honestly it never really made it on our radar given the large number of great dining spots in the area. We were at a nearby park and decided to give it a try. VERY pleasantly surprised at how good this place was! The burger was spot on, salads were refreshing, and the dessert was rich but satisfying. I ended up getting the Counselor Burger and had some of my wife's Greek Salad. Both were FANTASTIC! The S'More skillets were killer. Campfire Grill has made it into our rotation and I'm already looking forward to our next visit. read more

Waited an hour for our food on outside patio at 1pm on a Saturday. Ended up having to get the food to go as one person had to get to the airport. Crab cakes were luke warm, french fries tasted like they had been under a warmer for a good while and they got our daughters salad wrong ( she ordered no farro and added chicken - she got lots of farro and no chicken ). No utensils in the to-go bag so my husband wasn't able to eat his either. Ended up throwing it away at a gas station on the way to the airport. Won't be back. read more

8/4/23. My wife and I went to Campfire today. We ordered two burgers to be cooked MEDIUM RARE. Burgers arrived cooked WELL DONE even though both brown paper liners were marked M/R. We showed our server how the burgers had been overcooked and my wife sent her burger back and waited 15 minutes for the new burger (medium rare). It also arrived WELL DONE. Management offered to 'comp' the burger as well as offering free dessert. We declined both. Service and management response was good. A manager said the we're having a problem with hiring good kitchen help and they would address the issue with the kitchen help. Final comment. There burgers did not taste as good as they have in the past. read more

We stopped here on the way to Fletcher. It was a beautiful afternoon, the weather couldn't have been more perfect. We sat outside and ordered from a table set up at the front of the parking lot. Pictured is the brisket sandwich and beer battered fries. They had the option of basil fries as well which were quite tempting. I got all three sauces to try them and I'm not even a fan usually of the vinegar sauce but they were all amazing to try. I ended up mixing the sweet and mustard on my sandwich and I dipped my fries in alternating sauces. It was delicious! We didn't realize we were having BBQ from Hubba Hubba BBQ. It's nice to see a partnership in the neighboring restaurants to get this additional choice. Next time I look forward to trying some of Campfire Grills own main dish. If their fries are any indication it's going to be awesome. Their staff was friendly and all wore masks to help keep us protected. Definitely worth going! read more
