Beautiful spot to camp there are a variety of accommodations available. Tent camping, bunkhouse, cabins and so on. People who work there are extremely friendly. Beautiful view from the entire camp, especially if you choose to hike all the way up to the WW2 bunker (one of the more challenging hikes I've done so far on Oahu). Shower house and shared restrooms available. The little camp office has cute merch and a coffee machine available! Had an amazing weekend, the entire fam enjoyed it throughly. Only sad part is that the pool cost an additional $30 per hour.

Stayed two nights with some coworkers, very roots and culture. Not much reception but there's no need to be on your phone up here, that's the best part of camp anyways! The views and grounds were very well kept and you can tell the workers are doing a great job at it (shout outs to aunti Tina). They were all professional but interactive personalities and I'll be back up here for the hikes, horseback riding, and to get away from the city!

Camp Palehua. Here's the pro: Friendly staff and good hiking trails, the serenity and views are wonderful, free parking. Here's the cons: Don't expect resort amenities for the resort prices they charge. Their uninspiring swimming pool is available at $30 per hour, their Wi-Fi at $50 per day, expect to pay ala cart for just about everything. Cellular service is sketchy at best, there is no TV, free WiFi or cabin service, problems with their electrical outlets was frustrating. The bathtub had crud and long hairs in it when we arrived, the toilet had urine stains and urine rings, it was disgusting. Their furnitures are old and dirty looking. Even though we paid $240 per night we were responsible for cleaning the cabin before we checked out. Ouch! .

Last time I was here, I was in the 7th grade back in 95 lol nice to be back with my own little family. Place looks the same. Beautiful views of Kapolei and the Westside of the Island

I had Palehua on my general things to do list. Randomly I saw on this residents only facebook hiking group that there was a community hike sponsored by the Blue Zones Project. Typically the trails here are only private access. You can't just walk up and hike it like the other trails on Oahu. It has secure gated access. Camp Palehua one of the property owners on Palehua. I think there are three others including the state government and some cattle farms. The drive up from the gate takes about 15 minutes up a windy narrow road with cows and views all the way to diamonhead. Luckily Camp Palehua (formerly Timberline) does group tours, activities, corporate team building, and hikes. I actually grabbed some brochures. I think its a minimum group of ten. I'll upload some screen shots later. They do four hikes. I think we did probably one of the easiest to the Nanakuli lookout overlooking the valley, about 2 miles round trip. Amazing views. You can see from the pink pillboxes to the mouth of pearl harbor. It took about two hours at a meandering pace. The camp has a lot of facilities like native gardens, playgroup areas, picnic area, and pool. They also have a low ropes park along the route back. I definitely would like to go back to try out the summit trail which has more expansive views, a bit longer and steeper. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Of 2015, the camp was renamed Camp Palehua after a change in administration. Gill 'Ewa Lands, LLC owns Camp Palehua and 1,600 acres of conservation and agricultural property. Oahu's southern and western coastlines may be seen from Camp Palehua, which is positioned on the southern slopes of the Wai'anae mountains, ensconced in a dense forest. There is a strong desire among the landowners to preserve and restore the natural environment and historically significant places. Natural resources are at the heart of their mission: They utilize them to teach children and adults how to be successful land stewards and involved citizens who can make a difference in the world. As part of our facilities and instructional programs, Camp Palehua focuses on conservation and sustainable land usage.

The friendliest staff and such an amazing property! Sad we discovered it's beauty just before moving off island. My 2 year old and 19 year old had an amazing time exploring!

Great view from the top!

THE worst camping experience I've ever had. Would give 0 stars if could. Firstly when arriving at…read morethe front gate, people have taken to dumping old mattresses and appliances, which is a terrible start. Once finding our campsite, the trashcans were completely overfilled, and the smell of the porta potties filled the campsite. The table that was a part of our site also only had one barely-usable seat, as the other one was rotted to the point where any weight would cause it to bend forward. Fire pits are non existent, so charcoal disposal is almost impossible if not self-provided. The sand is dirty and will turn your feet black within the first 30 minutes of your arrival. It is also too soft for tent spikes, and unless you have stuff inside to hold the tent down, any breeze will upheave your tent. The harder area was too rough, as there was rock that prevented the stakes to go down more than half an inch. On top of that, anywhere usable by a tent is lopsided and uneven due to the sands. There are no private showers and porta potties are the only place to do your business besides the bushes. Homeless crowd the camp, and there are many stray dogs and cats running around. We woke up our first morning to find that some of our food and our trash have been rummaged through. Fire ants, wasps, flies, cockroaches and mosquitos also crowd the areas so without repellent it can become very annoying. But THE WORST part is that throughout not only the WHOLE DAY AND NIGHT, many people would pass through directly by our campsite (#7) in off-road vehicles and race them along the beachside, less than 20 feet from the tents. Even throughout the night, people are screaming, popping fire works, blasting music, and racing. Our first night we were kept up by the looping of the same song from 10pm all the way till 6am, with people screaming. The second night, the off-road racers started coming around 3pm and did not stop in the slightest until way into 4am. Sleep is not on your side when you come here, and you will be up all hours of the night dealing with the lack of consideration by others. There is no breeze, and things get very hot and muggy very quickly, on top of the uneven and saggy sand. Definitely will not be coming here again, and the city and county should be ashamed of letting a park like this be ruined, yet still having the audacity to charge for the experience.

Worst place to camp EVER! Seems like a good place to relax…read morebut no, There are lifted trucks everywhere that races from night to morning. Roaring their engines, racing back and forth nonstop, blasting loud music, the worst part? High beaming the crap out of your tent while they pass by you every 30 seconds. Seruously?! No respect for other campers whatsoever Other issues were : - the benches were broken so they were unusable - the porta potty stenched so bad - the showers were broken -had big dips of puddles that you'd have to drive through But seriously, the true worst part were the trucks :,)

My son…read morewas a little nervous, and she was incredibly patient, thoughtful, positive, and compassionate throughout the entire experience. She truly made him feel comfortable and helped make the event special for our family. At the end of the event on May 9, I overheard the lead providing Mel with feedback while we were still within listening distance. Given the wonderful experience we had, it was a little disheartening to witness feedback being delivered publicly. I wanted to share how much we appreciated Mel's professionalism and kindness, as she made a very positive impact on our experience.

Kids loved it. Total workout - 6 zip lines (Katie, Hally and sidekick Derrick/Junie) omg so much fun - 2 hours and 6 lines. Firstly the grounds were very clean and we were greeted immediately. Secondly Good vibes from front staff- happy people who set the tone with good music and a nice, carefully curated gift shop with reasonable prices. Thirdly the tour staff were charismatic - friendly, safety oriented and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Not teenagers rolling their eyes and being fake for tips. We loved it so much we are already planning to come back to do more. Will never forget the memories we made here
