A Must-Do Luau Experience Near Aulani! If you haven't been to this luau, add it to your list! The food is absolutely excellent -- I've gone three times already, and even though I keep telling myself I should try a different one, I always end up coming back. The views are breathtaking, and there's so much to enjoy from beginning to end -- from the warm welcome to the lively entertainment. There are so many activities throughout the evening, which makes it fun for everyone. The service is truly spectacular -- every staff member is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel like part of the 'ohana. It's the perfect mix of great food, beautiful scenery, and authentic Hawaiian hospitality. Highly recommend!

We choose the deluxe package! Entertainment and service were impeccable! The food I was disappointed in, for the deluxe package I feel that it should be a different menu. The reason why I choose this Luau is because of the location on the beautiful beach with the activities. And you can see the Aulani Resort next door. Our server who bought us our food she was great always on top of things.

From start to finish, we had an amazing time! We got the Orchid Package (middle tier) and were greeting with an orchid lei and a mai tai. The Mai Tai was delicious! We then followed one of the team members to show us where to sit, once we were shown our seats, we headed towards the "tattoo" stations and games. We didn't get a chance to create a lei, but that's pretty much the only thing we weren't able to do. We saw the "flower shower" and the special ceremony before dinner. Before getting our dinner, we were able to take pictures by the sunset. I think the pictures don't do it justice! The area is so beautiful and well taken care of. Since we knew where to sit, we headed to the buffet! Food was great for an event like this. We had Kalua Pork, BBQ Chicken, and Beer Battered Fish. They also had sides like bread, Mac salad, rice, poi, and green salad. I also liked that people are able to get seconds. F you still have room after dinner, they also have chocolate cake, haupia, and fruit. During dinner they start a "preshow" where you see the talented ladies do some dancing. Once everyone has eaten, they turn off the lights and start the show. You see dances from Tahiti, Samoa, and more! It was so entertaining that even my one year old stayed still and watched. My recommendation, arrive before they open their doors so you can get the best seat possible, if you want to creat a lei, make that your first stop, and tip the team!

Paradise Cove Luau was okay, but not what I expected for the price. The whole evening felt rushed, and I missed out on many activities. My daughter really wanted to take pictures with the birds when we first arrived, which took up all of our time, so we didn't get to enjoy much else before dinner started. On top of that, my husband was disappointed when he got an expired soda--not something you'd expect at an event this expensive. Another downside was the seating. The package we purchased had us waiting last for the buffet, which was frustrating. Had I known that, I would have paid extra for an upgrade. Overall, it was an "okay" experience, but I've heard there are better luaus out there, and if I had to do it again, I'd probably try a different one.

This is just one of the things you never go to when you're from here but is fun to do and experience when visitors come into town to give them the full tourist experience. Parking was easy, drinks upon arrival, and cute little information sessions/games to play before dinner. The musicians were wonderful and boy, do the dancers really have to play multiple roles throughout the night. Kudos to them. The food was very approachable hawaiian food, so nothing really crazy so that those experiencing hawaiian food for the first time would be okay. Not many people took poi, but I sure got in my fill! We went on a friday night and it was maybe 60% full, but I feel bad for the performers as the crowd was quite dull. They deserved much more applause than they got.

Absolutely amazing experience! Definitely a must do luau as it is much better than some others offered closer to Waikiki. Instructions for pick up were clear and our bus was very prompt. Our bus guide was Cousin T and she was awesome! Explained everything clearly and made each of us feel special and welcome. She told jokes and got us all excited for what was in store. Once we arrived, it was fun to walk around and take pictures. There were other activities too like spear throwing and Polynesian tattoos, which was fun. The bar also provided delicious cocktails. The food was also good. The pork and mac salad were delicious! Overall, the show was great. It moved at a good pace and we were never left bored as an audience. I loved seeing different performances based on the different Polynesian islands. It was truly beautiful. Sexy bus number 1! I highly recommend Paradise Cove if you are looking for a luau during your stay in Oahu!

My poor son got volunteered onstage. He was none too happy! So proud of him for being a good sport!

Saturday, August 24, 2024 (RIP / HBD, Our Beloved Grandson Logan): Thanks to Tickets & Tours at Joint Base Hickam Pearl Harbor I was able to get Orchid seating in advance via email (Military discount of $123 each). We had a total of 13 vouchers for family with 4 more family members joining us there. There's a lot of parking and the staff is very friendly. Check in time was 4:45 pm. We were all given "credit cards" with $16 loaded on it to use toward any purchases. The grounds are clean and wide open. We were directed to our reserved table, which was located in the middle with a perfect view of the stage. There is shopping, tattooing, photos with the parrots, etc. Events for the entire family to enjoy! There is a nice beach on the property. Our family spread rose petals in honor of our 17 year old grandson, Logan, who passed away last year from Fentanyl poisoning. We all wore his shirts in his memory. It was a most spectacular sunset & we know he was there in spirit. Just before that a most wondrous rainbow appeared across the Hawaiian skies and we felt that Logan was sending us a sign that he knew his ohana was all together there for him on his birthday. We miss him so much! They opened the buffet in an orderly fashion and we all enjoyed the food; some got seconds. It was very tasty. We enjoyed the show. My battery died so I couldn't take more photos. Honestly, the most impressive were the two fire dancers! High energy and precision were the earmarks of their amazing performances. Neither one dropped a torch! The entire show was highly entertaining! As some had reservations about the dancers & musicians walking off from a previous show there was no sign of any squabbles. The show went on successfully without a hitch. We had an enjoyable experience and would recommend!

Best experience I've had on Oahu by far!! I've been to the islands many times, but not once have I gone to a luau. I came to this luau with my family to celebrate my sister's birthday and it's safe to say we all had the BEST time. There were so many activities to do and events to see. The dance performances were fantastic!! I absolutely loved seeing each and every performer dance and sing. My sister and I even got taken up on stage to dance with the performers. Everyone we came across was so welcoming and kind as well. I would say the food is good, but definitely not the highlight of this event. All of that credit goes to the workers and performers. I would absolutely come again.

This is our first ever Luau and I have to say it was a really amazing experience. I looked into different Luaus while we were in Hawaii and decided to go with Paradise Cove for our first Luau. We went with the Hawaiian Luau Package. On the day of event, we came a little late due to a bit of heavy traffic. We didn't miss much, and there were still plenty of parking! Once we arrived they guided us on where to go. We were provided with complimentary mai tais and then our leis. We were then taken to our seats so that we know where to go once dinner was ready. Hubby and I walked around and enjoyed the scenery and then went to explore and do some activities. It's such a beautiful place and the food honestly was really delicious! We both really enjoyed it and loved the music and entertainment during out time there. Will definitely keep Paradise Cove in mind, but wouldn't mind trying other Luaus for future visits.

The experience was amazing . If you're in Hawaii this is a place to visit . There are many luau around the island. The staff were so amazing and helpful. We got the top package and was walked to our table and had our doodle and drinks brought to us. The place sits surrounding water with beautiful views. The food was good and we got to see the pig get brought out from under after cooking . The show was amazing , of course my Fabian was the fire part of the show. I definitely recommend!

Andrea T.

Beautiful grounds, plenty of activities for the family and a wonderful show. We got the deluxe package and it was well worth the price paid. Front row seats and table service. They had a nice variety of salads, main dishes and deserts. Will definitely be going again.

Amazing setting. I would return for the beach alone. Unfortunately, I hear the land has been sold in the lease not renewed so it will be going away soon. The food for the luau was pretty good, the staff was really kind and sweet. Felt a little bit rushed with the food, but I think that's the nature of the game and I believe they're trying to beat out the rain.

Shao-Lon Y.

A luau is one of the must try activities in Hawaii but I feel like there has to be a better one than this. The location was great and picturesque and the show was pretty fun, but the price is way too high and the scheduling felt like it was completely messed up. My main problem is that there were a bunch of different activities, such as the bracelet or necklace making, taking a photo with parrots, and Polynesian tattoos, but there was no time at all to do them. There's also 3 major events: a hula dance lesson, a man climbing a tree, and taking the kalua pig out of the ground, but if you're preoccupied with a different station, then you just completely miss the event. I got there, took a photo with the parrots, made a necklace, and by that time missed the first 2 events. I feel like if I'm paying $240 (deluxe price), I should have time to actually do the things I paid for. The drinks were good here but not strong enough to mask my disappointment. The food was not that great. I thought the chicken and fish were alright, but the actual kalua pork, the centerpiece of a luau, was quite dry. I was also hoping for something more uniquely Hawaiian instead of things like just fried or bbq chicken.

My happy 6 year old having a blast!

What time does the cove shuttle arrive at the Luau? I would hate to get there super late and miss all the pre show activities. Also, what time is the meal served? How much time do we have for pre show activities before the meal?

Aloha! Please contact Reservations for assistance with your inquiry. Their phone numbers are (808) 842-5911 or (800) 775-2683 (from Neighbor Islands or Mainland US). They're open daily from 7:30am to 5:30pm (HST).

Do guest still need to show proof of vaccination?or a proof of a negative Covid test?

Nope nothing at all like that

Do you need a hard (paper-printed) copy of your ticket/voucher before you can enter the shuttle and luau?

No, they have a list. Just bookmark the receipt on your phone as a backup.

What is on the kids/keikei menu? Have a picky eater and hoping for something plain. Even if just rice.

Aloha Bethany N. - Mahalo for your question. Here's a link to the items on our Hawaiian Luau buffet: https://www.paradisecove.com/menu/ Hopefully there's something for your picky eater to enjoy. Malama pono!

Do gates close at 5pm or can you enter at your own leisure as long as you have a ticket?

Aloha - Gates open at 5pm. You can enter later at your leisure. You don't want to miss the pre-show activities and entertainment so come early if you can.

Anything vegan? Im the only vegan in the group. Hoping I can still eat.

Salads, sweet potatoes, mixed vegetables, haupia, juice, water & coffee.

Is the food still plated or back to buffet style?

It is back to buffet style, we were there July 6

What time does it end?

8:30pm

Is it back to buffet style during covid?

No it's not. There are pre-made plates that you pick up from the buffet counter but you can take as many as you would like.

Any seconds on the food, since it's no longer a buffet? Thanks!

Open buffet when I went in May/2022 & return as many times as you like.

Are infants allowed? Is there any age restrictions for infants?

All the performers are multi-talented performers and you can tell they enjoy what they do. Chief Sielu also takes the time to recognized audience members who are celebrating birthdays and anniversaries and on Veteran's day he took the time to recognize the veterans in the audience. Upon arriving, they immediately handed out ponchos, which were definitely needed. Mostly light rain on and off throughout the evening, but that didn't spoil our time there. They took extra care to dry our seats ahead of initially sitting down at our table and when we returned from the buffet. We were also greeted with a fresh flower lei (booked the Royal Experience). At our seats was a lei po'o waiting for all. They immediately offered us a complimentary drink and a gentleman had fresh coconut ready to try. Just ahead of dinner, the men brought out the roasted pig. A blessing was asked in the native language, and then it was dinner time. All staff were kind and helpful. What an absolutely breathtaking experience. From start to finish, I was beyond blown away…read more I was staying at Aulani to celebrate my 40th birthday. The luau is offered a few times a week and was luckily being offered on my actual birthday so of course we booked it for that day. Tickets go on sale about 5 months in advance of the dinner date, which may seem daunting to a casual planner but makes perfect sense to an avid Disney-er. Seating for the luau is available in standard seating and premium seating. We picked premium. It came at a higher price tag and, in my opinion, was not necessary. Standard seating was 199 a person and premium seating was 229 a person. All luau guests are treated to activities like lei making, (temporary) tattoos and ukulele lessons before heading over to enjoy the buffet and open bar dinner before the show. Premium diners got the luxury of an extra half hour to peruse the activities. Premium diners also got seating closer to the main stage. (After the show was over, I sat in standard seating to see the difference and it wasn't all that much). Premium diners also got a free digital download of the picture taken with the luau performers. For a larger party, it may have been less expensive to simply pay for the digital download. One big concern I had about the luau was that it would be overly Disney-fied. I love me some Mickey Mouse and Aulani as a resort has several Disney touches, but I wanted my luau experience to be as authentic as possible. My concerns were quickly quelled. Mickey and Minnie were present for about 15 minutes of the 2-hour show. The rest of the luau had beautiful vocals, graceful dancing, and fearless firebreathers. It is my absolute hope to get back to Aulani as quickly as humanly possible, but I think I would skip the luau. At 229 (or even 199) a person, there are much better ways to spend my Disney dollars. That being said, if Aulani is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for you, you should do it.

Seriously amazing performances that kept us glued the entire night. Customer Service & Vibes: Everyone was so kind, patient, and family-oriented. They were especially amazing with our kids -- made the whole experience feel warm and interactive . Tips: Come early if you're general seating -- the closer to the stage, the better! Take advantage of the pre-show -- so many fun pics and memories before dinner even begins! Unlimited drinks are included -- yay! Bottom line: This luau totally exceeded our expectations! It's a perfect blend of culture, food, family-fun, and entertainment -- especially if you're already staying at Aulani . Definitely would do again!!

Great Luau! The…read morelocation may give you pause when driving in, however it is another world inside the gate. Great beachfront views of the sunset and perfect for a family photo. We were treated very well the entire evening. Germaine's has a plan and it works! No pushing and shoving at the buffet, plenty of opportunities for seconds and the seating is comfortable. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. On top of that, a great show that's as kitschy as you might expect...or fear! The food was much better than the old Paradise Cove luau. Kalua Pork has good flavor and the mac salad is as good, if not better, than found elsewhere on the island. The drinks were weak, as expected. However, they have a nice self serve bar for soft drinks, coffee and tea. The service throughout our visit was thoughtful and organized. If you want a solid luau experience, I recommend giving Germaine's your business.

Before dinner, there are several interactive cultural activities like lei-making, temporary…read morePolynesian tattoos, and learning basic hula steps. These are fun, especially if it's your first luau, and help pass the time before the main show begins. The imu (underground oven) pig unveiling is a nice cultural highlight and adds to the authenticity. The buffet offers a solid spread of traditional Hawaiian dishes -- kalua pork, lomi lomi salmon, poi, chicken long rice, rice, salads, and desserts. The food is hearty and filling, though not gourmet. Some items stand out more than others, but overall it feels appropriate for a large-scale luau buffet. Drinks are included, though they're on the lighter side, so don't expect strong cocktails. The performances are the highlight of the night. The Polynesian dances from different islands, live music, and fire knife dancing are energetic and engaging. The performers clearly enjoy what they do, and the crowd interaction keeps things lively. While it may not feel ultra-luxury or theatrical, it's genuine, fun, and entertaining, which adds to its charm.

ARA does a great job of preparing and developing talented young students for college and the…read moreperforming arts. The classroom ratio is ideal and the academy feels like an extended family. What you may miss from a large school/student body is made up for in program quality and personal interactions. Enough cannot be said about the student performances, staff and swim team. With time I only hope the developing campus presents a more polished and 'clean' appearance to reflect all of the great things happening inside the classrooms and studios.

We were attracted to this school for these reasons: *100% of the high school graduates received scholarships to colleges. Mostly for academics and swim. *Smaller classroom sizes - to give each child the attention they may need *Longer school hours - we're both working parents and don't need to deal with the stress of after school care * No homework- this is what the longer school days are for and because quality family time is so important after a long day at school/work *Performing arts - starts from kindergarten to work on their confidence, self esteem and public speaking skills *Dedicated and passionate teachers and staff- positive teachers makes for positive early imprinting *Amazing swim program and it just goes on and on! All three of our children are thriving academically and socially. They are all very active on the competitive swim team, hula, ballet, martial arts and voice lessons, all offered at school! I grew up attending a school with about 25-30 students in a classroom so I know what it's like, and I didn't like it. The smaller class sizes is the perfect fit for what we're looking for. A more customizable education tailored for each child's potential. Seeing how much talent has been produced from this small school makes me hold ARA up on a pedestal. We want to give our kids the best opportunity and ARA offers all we can ask for. If you are considering this school for your child, I recommend giving them a call. We're so happy we did!
