We're staying in downtown Waikiki. I saw two luau that looked so BORING!!!so bootleg. Who has a Luau on a roof? I AM SO GLAD we chose Germaine . The BEACH The AMAZING staff. Food was ok. But the WHOLE experience was top tier. The lady at the ticket booth was SO kind and friendly. She had a big Hawaiian chain. I'm sorry I didn't get her name.. but everybody was just the best. Side note, we got to throw our lei out into the ocean. To make sure WE ALWAYS return.

I have been going since I was 18 to Germaine's Luau and I am now 54. I love the setting the waves in the background are beautiful. The drinks are delish! It's so much fun and the food OMG it was so good! Absolutely everyone is so kind and welcoming. The show is beautiful. The drive was about an hour from hotel but it goes fast and the bus driver is very entertaining. My son went on a guys trip and he told the group they had to go to Germaine's they had a blast! My children will continue the tradition and that melts my heart. Thank you Germaine's! See you next year.

We had family luau night. It's in the middle of industrial area, but once you're there you forget where you are. Once you arrive you will pay $5 for parking if it wasn't included in your package. We got the cheapest package and the view was not bad but not the best. I recommend to get the second package for better view. After checking in you will get your wrist band according to what package you bought. Then you will take pictures which will cost $30 At the end of the show. No personal pictures allowed. Then you walk towards your table but can stop for a flower in your hair and activities before the show starts. If you didn't reserve a table then get there early to get a good table because it is first come first served. You will be directed when it's your turn to make line for the food. The food was pretty good. Dessert was ok. Drinks were ok that you get for one ticket, but if you want a better drink get the ones for 2 tickets. For the actual show they have many dance routines. I really enjoyed all the dances and they do have audience participation from men, women and children at some point in the show. Lastly take lots of pictures and wear shoes that can be in the sand as you will sit on the tables in the sand. Enjoy the dinner and a show.

This is located right next to the beach, great for taking sunset selfies. The tickets purchased included 2 drinks and dinner buffet style and the entertainment dancers. Considering the size of the venue the lines went fairly quickly for the buffet. There is a gift shop on site and I thought the prices were very reasonable. Purchased my tickets through an excursion provided by a cruise line. Was a bit pricey. Set that aside it's a guarantee back to ship on time as this ran late till end of port time.

The food was horrible. The dancers were amazing and put on a really great performance. With ocean views and setting sun the location was great.

Before dinner, there are several interactive cultural activities like lei-making, temporary Polynesian tattoos, and learning basic hula steps. These are fun, especially if it's your first luau, and help pass the time before the main show begins. The imu (underground oven) pig unveiling is a nice cultural highlight and adds to the authenticity. The buffet offers a solid spread of traditional Hawaiian dishes -- kalua pork, lomi lomi salmon, poi, chicken long rice, rice, salads, and desserts. The food is hearty and filling, though not gourmet. Some items stand out more than others, but overall it feels appropriate for a large-scale luau buffet. Drinks are included, though they're on the lighter side, so don't expect strong cocktails. The performances are the highlight of the night. The Polynesian dances from different islands, live music, and fire knife dancing are energetic and engaging. The performers clearly enjoy what they do, and the crowd interaction keeps things lively. While it may not feel ultra-luxury or theatrical, it's genuine, fun, and entertaining, which adds to its charm.

Just a WARNING to all if you do plan on visiting this place to apply or protect yourself from ants and mosquitos. My whole family, a total of 8 were feasted on especially my 11 yo son. We attended Luau last Sunday (6/7/26), it's Day 5, his legs still swollen and his bites are blistering. This establishment should at least warn people ahead or do something to fumigate the area. Our whole week was ruined because my son was in pain, itching and had a difficult time walking from the swelling and discomfort.

--Book them! I was so overwhelmed by all the luau options but in the end I decided to go with Germaine's Luau and it exceeded my expectations. They picked us up (100% recommend you do that). Our driver Wendell did a great job. The in bus entertainment Bryce made that drive time feel very fast. Bryce taught us so much Hawaiian culture. The performers did such an awesome job. So happy we decided to book this luau for our first night in Honolulu!! It was the highlight of our trip.

Service is fantastic, the food is okay. You are really coming for the great show and the food and drink is just a part of the experience. It is also on a private beach so you get amazing views and pictures of the sunset before the show begins! We did the standard package that includes the meal and one drink, which I think is the way to go unless you are a big drinkers. The pork was the highlight of the meal, besides that everything else was okay. I ended up feeding a lot of my food to the cats that are on the property. Amazing show with greta dancers, the fire dancers were a highlight for me.

The Luau was a lot of fun. The show was great. The location was overlooking the ocean and great for pictures. We had VIP tickets so our seats were great. I highly recommend this Luau if you are in the area.

This was our first time in Hawaii, so we figured if our hotel wasn't the best it would be ok, since we were not planning on spending much time in the hotel. It was such an amazing place and we got a great deal on it which made it even more amazing. As soon as you walk in, the front desk welcomed you, and you can tell they upkeep this hotel very well and take pride in their property. They do offer parking on the premises, however they do charge $40.00 a day, which i thought was pretty pricey but didn't have a choice we had rented a car. The girl at the front desk told us the area was safe and there is usually parking outside the hotel for free, we didnt pay for parking our whole stay! Our room was super clean , updated and super spacious! We got a call daily asking if we needed anything, you can get beach towels daily without issues as many as you like. The cook-to-order breakfast was simply AMAZING!! The food was great and the cooks are super nice and welcoming. The pool is a little on the smaller side but we didnt have the need to use it but its really nice. over all i would 100 percent stay here again. It was a wonderful experience and wonderful value! I would have to say...the perfect venue, even if the wind kicks up a bunch like it did this past Saturday. Brewfest began at 6pm and went on until 9pm with one ticket price of $70 giving unlimited access to both beverages and foods. Many of the restaurants participating even did a beer food pairing which was a great way of experiencing this event. Food booths hosted this year by: Auntie Pasto's in Kunia, Off the Wall in Aiea Pearl Kai, Taniokas in Waipahu, Kona Brewing Company, and the newest restaurant to open in Ko'Olina...Monkeypod by Merriman's. Food was fabulous ranging from deep fried jumbo shrimp and calamari (Auntie Pasto's) to the BEST reuben sandwich and banana pie I have ever had (Monkeypod) to a delicious sauteed fish on a bed of ongchoy served with a fresh fruit salad and mango papaya cream puffs (Off the Wall) to spicy ahi sushi and garlic chicken (Tanioka's) to a delicious local beef meatball (Kona Brewing). Beverages included dozens and dozens of beer selections of course. I also saw some wine, some port, some bottled water being handed out generously. There was also a cigar booth hosted by R. Field. Does living get any better than this? Apparently yes, as the setting provided a beautiful grassy cove oceanfront hosting the most spectacular sunset I had seen in a long time. Live entertainment included a fashion show featuring designs by: Tiare Tiete and Swim Wear Designer, Honey Girl. Makings of a memorable evening...

It's sad to see a bunch of 1-star reviews from anonymous profiles based off of 1 terrible party experience, so I feel compelled to share my positive experience. We celebrated my goddaughter's 1st birthday this past weekend, and this venue pulled out all the stops for her celebration. The venue owners did all the decorations and did a spectacular job! As soon as I walked into the venue, I was transported to Hello Kitty land (which was the theme for her party lol) They set up all the tables and chairs with linens that matched the party theme colors. And the dessert table set-up was all taken care of, all we (my best friend, her family and the rest of us party decorating committee) had to do was set up the centerpieces and party favors. It definitely took a lot of stress off of us and we were able to relax before the party started. The venue itself is very well maintained and aesthetically appealing with clean & well-stocked restrooms. Parking is a little tight but I believe overflow parking was available near the plaza with Nanding's bakery. They even had parking attendants working that night and ample signage that lead guests where to park. I was told that they offered à la carte services, such as the Photo Booth, so this business is a real one-stop shop. Overall we had an amazing time and the night went by so fast but so smoothly. The best part was we didn't have to stay behind to clean up, the staff at Kabayan took care of all of that!

They offered free transportation during a deal in January, when I booked, which was super helpful and only solidified the decision to go to Chief's. The charter bus was easy to find and left right on time. We picked up others (now our family/ohana per Cousin Brian, who was our host from the bus) from local hotels and made our way to the luau. Upon arriving, they immediately handed out ponchos, which were definitely needed. Mostly light rain on and off throughout the evening, but that didn't spoil our time there. They took extra care to dry our seats ahead of initially sitting down at our table and when we returned from the buffet. We were also greeted with a fresh flower lei (booked the Royal Experience). At our seats was a lei po'o waiting for all. They immediately offered us a complimentary drink and a gentleman had fresh coconut ready to try. Just ahead of dinner, the men brought out the roasted pig. A blessing was asked in the native language, and then it was dinner time. All staff were kind and helpful. All of the food was really good, especially the kalua pork, which had a great smoky flavor. I'd dare to say it was better than any pork butts I've ever smoked at home. The men played music and sang while we ate, which we enjoyed. On to the show.... Multiple groups of dancers performed for us, showcasing different cultures, like Samoan and Polynesian. Looked and felt very authentic to me. All performers were awesome and engaged the audience. Chief was great and led the entire evening. The fire dancers were also very cool to watch. All in all, give Chief's Luau a try. You won't be disappointed!
