Service here has always been friendly and extremely helpful. Honestly, the wines are not my favorite but I love the vibe so much that I keep returning.

Houston truly has a gem in Camerata! This place is run by pros, and it shows. From the moment you step in until you leave, the service is absolutely impeccable. Impressive wine list, with helpful guidance from the staff. You can do smaller pours if you want to try more wines. Their meat and cheese board is a great way to nibble on something while sampling their wines. Really great space too - lots of couches and places to lounge, and to be honest feels a lot like chilling in someone's living room. Can see myself coming back regularly. Be sure to enjoy responsibly folks!

We had a wonderful Friday night experience at Camerata. The manager recommended an Armenian wine that was a great choice to sip on throughout our night. We also ordered some delicious appetizers to pick on. I did not love their bread? But all the meats and cheeses were great. The atmosphere was spot on; mood lit and full without being too busy. My only complaint is a single stall gender neutral bathroom. We will definitely be back to try more wines. (There's a parking lot in the back of the building)

Great bottle and the year I met my wife. Both, a great find.

We had their charcuterie board delivered to the house during Sty At Home order's and what a great decision. The meat and cheese selections were excellent and they let us buy/ deliver one of our favorite Napa Sparkling wines - Schramsberg. Everything arrived nicely and it was truly a treat to enjoy the restaurant away from the establishment given these remarkable times. We've actually not been to the store but have frequented their sister, neighbor concept Paulie's. Both are good and worth a visit.

Love the selection of wines. Great customer service as well. Good spot for a date night or meet up with friends.

It was our first time to Camerata at Paulie's today. We attended my nephew and niece's baby shower. This place was cozy and fit the group of about 50 adults and kids comfortably. Meg and John did a great job asking each guest if he/she wanted wine. They made sure dirty plates were gathered and generally made sure everything was good for us. I was debating which wine to drink and John and Meg was helpful to let me try the Tempranillo and Sparkling red wine to help me decide. I ended up liking the sparkling red wine. I enjoyed the meat and cheeses and the Italian sandwich. There was a good selection served for people to snack on. I would definitely come back again.

This is a great place for wine-ing and chatting. A lot of times you go to places, and you can't hear yourself...the wine menu is great, so were the bubblies....they have yummy snacks as well, loved the baked goat cheese...great for dates, or an evening with friends...the new wine connoisseur was super friendly, and helpful...he is new to Houston, and loves the vibe here. My husband was so enthused to try this wine lounge, as we are regulars at Paulie's. He read an article about their mocktail Rose so he was excited to take me here for Valentines to enjoy one prior to the event we had planned. Unfortunately that was for an event they did in the Fall and were no longer offering it. We were bumped but decided to stay and enjoy the vibe... VIBE: A quaint ambiance with low lighting and soft tunes from various genres. I even discovered a few new artist that I like. SERVICE: Was great. Our server was very well versed in all of the wines and charcuterie board options. She made suggestions based off of our palettes. LIBATIONS: My husband wanted Amici and she recommended a Malbec -- Cuvelier Los Andes, which turned out to be a great alternative option. Also, the selection changes daily so you can honestly make this place a regular stop and try a different wine each time. So neat! PROVISION: Prosciutto Chips...just fried goodness! Couple these with any of the other menu items. We opted for one cheese and one meat on the charcuterie board; I don't think you can go wrong with any of the choices. Get an extra side of the pickles, you won't regret it. We will definitely be back to try more wine!

To start, service alone garners this Montrose gem a 5 star rating but it's just my luck that it didn't stop there. At the moment, America is still (sort of) participating in this pseudo-quarantine we have going on so I'll start by saying my friends and I were "outside" (oOooOoo scary, I know haha) but we had our masks & so did our wonderful Sommelier, Meagan; so, consider us safe this whole review lol. As soon as I showed up, I was greeted with a smile and given a glass of water and a menu. My friend, Marie, who frequents this wine bar was already sitting with another friend of mine and in front of them they had a charcuterie board with plenty of delectable snacks on it. So of course I ordered my own. You could pick 4 items for $25 or single items for $8 each. I went with the former and decided on the Schiacciata Piccante & Salame Etna for my meats (recommended by Meagan) and the Marinated Feta & Idiazabel for my cheeses (see menu for descriptions). Perfect choices. The board also came with a selection of sides, including olives, almonds, pickles and bread.. with honey. Mannnn it was delicious!! To top it off Meagan, being a Sommelier and all, sent me home with a bottle of dry Riesling for the wife after I asked for a recommendation on that (which she f**king loved)! If you love wine & need a quaint, but exciting, bar to make a home.. check then out! I'll def be back with my friends and the wife to try out more wines. Hope this yelps!!

Our friend booked a reservation and was able to add a fourth person without any issues. It's on Westheimer where all the restaurants and shops are, so it's pretty busy. You can either park on the street or in the neighborhood behind. There's bar, small table and booth seating available. One of our friends who arrived early got to switch us to a booth since we'd have a few plates to share for the four of us. My friend and I shared the NA red sangria. I liked that there was a NA option for that, and you can choose either red or white. We ordered a pitcher since we were sharing. It was delicious and refreshing. I think I had about 3 wine glasses of it. Our group shared the red fish à la plancha, patatas bravas, spinach frittata, olive oil pancakes and bacon-wrapped dates. Some of the dishes were bigger than others. Tapas is meant to be small plates, and they were, but it's a little overpriced. For example, the red fish was $15.50 for maybe 2 oz of fish. The stack of olive oil pancakes were small and thin for $8.50. If you're sharing, it's not that much food. I was going to order another personal stack of olive oil pancakes because that cinnamon butter was so good! I decided not to after I let all of what we ordered and drank settle for a bit after. The valdeon whipped blue cheese under the bacon-wrapped dates didn't taste very good and seemed grainy to me. It was my least favorite. The standouts for me were the olive oil pancakes, spinach frittata that was actually loaded with more veggies and bell peppers and the patatas bravas which was piled with potatoes topped with mayo that melted down and looked almost like melted cheese on top. It's a fun place for friends to gather or a cute date spot. You may or may not be hungry after depending what you order. There are larger plates/entrees like paella and branzino to share.

I experienced this side of the business during the early phase of the Covid pandemic back in 2020. At the time, during lockdown, going to a wine bar or wine shop just wasn't top of mind. However, I had researched a Cabernet Franc (red wine) called Nicolas Reau Enlèvement Demandé Anjou [Vintage year: 2017]. Reau is kind of a rebel working in the Loire Valley of France who is interested in producing organic, biodynamic wines that are essentially closer to nature and processed differently--more artisanal, so to speak. I read about this wine and wanted to find a bottle locally, which wasn't an easy task as I recall. This is where Vinology comes in. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but had to have a bottle of this excellent wine. Like many people, I preferred to stay indoors during the early part of the pandemic and was kind of nervous about going out. When I called Vinology, I expressed my dilemma, and the guy on the other end of the phone came up with a great solution. He offered to deliver the bottle of wine I purchased to my address. I actually met him at the edge of the garage entrance to where I live. This was great, exceptional above and beyond service. I will always treasure and remember Vinology and plan to support the business more in the future. Hats off to the folks who own and run this wine establishment.

The pork chop had a beautiful char and was full of flavor--slightly undercooked, yes, but still delicious enough to carry the whole meal. I do wish they had mashed potatoes on the menu, though... it would have made it perfect. We also shared the Brussels sprouts, and sadly, they missed the mark this time. Dry and bitter, nothing like the saucy, flavorful version I've had before--maybe just the late hour catching up with the kitchen. But even so, that pork chop... it lingered in the best way. He ended up being one of the best aspects of our experience that evening. Our waitress wasn't nearly as good. We started by asking for ice in the water from the waitress since they just give you room temp water. After 10 mins of seeing her serve other tables and ignoring our request, we then figured the water boy would make it happen...and sure enough he did. We then ordered the grilled oysters, which are very lightly cooked, almost seemingly steamed more than anything, but they were very good regardless of the cooking method with the sauces and garnishes and pickle juice added. Next up was ordering the entrees. The menu here is a little strange with numerous vegan choices with strange titles and only a few items with protein. To top it off, there are not many choices period. The waitress explained that the left side is basically the apps, and the right side is basically the entrees. I knew I wanted to try the wagyu flat iron steak which is priced pretty high here, compared to other wagyu flat irons I've had at other restaurants across the US. We couldn't really decide on a 2nd main dish then the waitress mentioned the off the menu special which was a scallop pasta so we picked that thinking it sounded delicious. The entrees come out about 15 mins later, and we take our first bites and we both thought, oh no, if we share the other person across from me isn't going to like this dish because it's too salty. I tried the steak first and noticed the sauce being extra salty, then I tried the pasta and the pasta was way worse, but the scallops didn't seem to be affected. We immediately told the waitress the next time she stopped by....and she just said okay, and walked away. I figured she would go get the manager....but nope...she just kept on serving other tables. At this point we thought to ourselves only the oyster app was decent.....and no reason to look at the dessert menu since we had already spent over $100 on food we could hardly eat. Sure enough, the waitress stops by a 2nd time and asks if we'd like to see the dessert menu. I couldn't leave fast enough and told her we'll skip. Needless to say we both left hungry as the portions were not only not edible, but also fairly small. The water boy also stopped by and offered to turn on the heater if we get cold. Boy, I wish he was our waiter instead. For a supposedly Michelin-starred restaurant, I feel they really got this one wrong.
