The receptionist would not schedule an appt without me knowing that information yet, despite me asking if we could just pay out of pocket/out of network if needed because we love Dr. Eric Staffier so much. Even if that is the case where they will not allow out of pocket or out of network patients, it was an extremely frustrating phone call with an awful super unhelpful interaction. Dr. Staffier's staff was awesome at his practice and would never have treated any of us the way this receptionist treated me. The least I expected was some compassion, patience, and kindness as my family has transitioned vision care coverage and also just now apparently lost our almost decade long optometrist because they will not accept our plan. Customer service experience not appreciated. Anyone who's insurance is accepted here, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Eric Staffier...if you can get past the front desk/receptionist of Boston University Eye Associates and you are allowed to actually schedule an appointment.

The staff were so friendly and empathetic. The doctor himself was knowledgeable, down to earth and truly cared about my eye. Stellar employees and great selection…read more I was looking for a specific pair of frames that were not in stock at the other LensCrafters store I went to, so I called ahead to check if they had them. One of the employees quickly let me know that they did, and they put them on hold for me too! When I went into the store, I was helped by the employee who had them on hold for me. He was super friendly and kind and made sure that I got the best deal possible, which I really appreciate as a grad student on a budget. He was quick and efficient with the fitting and the whole sale. The other employee working at the store was also super friendly and helpful when I picked my glasses out and when I picked them up the day they were ready. She made sure that the fit was perfect and that everything looked good. While this location isn't the closest to where I live, it's entirely worth the trip. I'll be back at this store for any future eyeglass needs. I wish I could remember both of their names - they were absolutely amazing and a great team worthy of special recognition. They helped me out BIG time when I was between health insurance and had an eye emergency. I had a (come to find out) really rare infection in my eye that made it constantly in pain and red and watery, and I HAD to see somebody about it, and Dr. Cotter helped me out big time. Professional and super friendly and disarming (I get wicked nervous around doctors, but he made me relaxed right away) I got the help I needed and they were really good about billing. Highly recommend them.

Paul said to me that'if I went to him for my eye exam, that I would still be covered under the VA insurance. I call up the VA and canceled my free appointment, and went through Paul cotter. one month after my appointment with Paul, I received a bill through his company for $200. I called him and asked him why I received a bill. he said I'm sorry but your insurance did not cover your visit. I think it's unfair that Paul cotter takes advantage of military vets. now I'm stuck with this bill.

I.e., "I can't adjust them anymore". She rolled her eyes wen she thought I wasn't looking. My glasses still don't fit right. I won't EVER go back to vision works. The customer service has gone down hill. They treated me like a 2nd class person.
