Either her script was incorrect or the place filling her prescription was wrong. Dr was very rude and unconcerned. I expected to be checked immediately but was told to go back to whomever filled the script which I did then called back to be checked and was told she was on vacation for weeks. Even if that is the case where they will not allow out of pocket or out of network patients, it was an extremely frustrating phone call with an awful super unhelpful interaction. Dr. Staffier's staff was awesome at his practice and would never have treated any of us the way this receptionist treated me. The least I expected was some compassion, patience, and kindness as my family has transitioned vision care coverage and also just now apparently lost our almost decade long optometrist because they will not accept our plan. Customer service experience not appreciated. A welcoming staff member at the front, snacks and beverages in the comfortable waiting area, and from the size of that waiting area I could tell right off that it wouldn't be a crowd scene here. The technician who started my appointment was professional, friendly and answered all questions. That was a thorough eye exam! Dr. Moreira was also very professional pared with a friendly manner that I totally appreciated. No hard sell of any products or procedures, just this is what I see happening with your eyes,this is what you'll need when you're ready, let me know what you want to do and when. There's an optical area in the office, but again, no had sell of eyeglasses- your new script goes out the door when you leave. The ophthalmologist was not the problem but one of your techs was. First, she had a nasty attitude like she wanted to be anywhere but here. Clearly, she had my medical history in front of her and my age...over 65. When she started the eye chart tests which she called "programs" she kept YELLIING the information to read what normal people call an eye chart. Finally, the third time she YELLED at me I politely told her "Please stop yelling at me." She scowled at me. I considered getting up and walking out. This Tech who looked like she was still in high school was exhibiting blatant age discrimination. I am not deaf just because I am over 65! Never been treated as rudely as this before. Definitely shows very poor training and supervision of OCB employees. Guess you do not want my business. Will post this on social media. Deal with it !
