I finally had the opportunity to stop here and get me a carry-out order. The environment is very welcoming and pleasant. The hospitality was awesome, salad bar looks nice, and my food was like --Dam That's Good! Guaranteed, I will return to eat in--not to mention the 'price is right'

A good stop to make if you want quick & classic food. Service was quick and attentive. The venue itself has that old school hometown diner feel. It's been a long time since I've been somewhere with that old school salad bar in it. It has its own parking lot, & it's a bit off of a main highway. The food was simple, good, but nothing above & beyond. Not taking anything away from them, again, the food IS GOOD, not just a "go-to" location if passing through. We had Steak & Eggs (Steak- Medium, Eggs- Over Easy), and Biscuits & Gravy w/a side of sausage. All was good, but everything needed salt added because it was very light on seasoning. A good choice for a quick stop, but a pass if you're looking to add to your "go-to" travel spots. So a fair explanation would be 4 Stars if you're local, 3 Stars if you're passing through. Large menu, generous portions with reasonable prices coupled with a very friendly attentive staff. They also have a full bar, though it was a little to early for us.

This functionally met the needs, so we had breakfast one day and to go for dinner another. The restaurant felt a little dirty. There were flies buzzing around our table and some dirty silverware. For breakfast, we had standards - eggs, bacon, toast, breakfast potatoes, breakfast sandwich, pancakes. They were out of Belgium waffles, which is odd if you can make pancakes. So, either it's a pre-made mix or the machine was broken. Eggs were cooked well. Everything else was just okay, including pretty weak and bland coffee. It was super cheap though. For dinner, we had chicken tenders, kids spaghetti with meatballs, a Greek salad, chicken noodle soup and a crab cake sandwich. Clearly, they have a diverse menu. Soup was a little salty, but good texture. I liked the salad. They don't make their own dressings, which is fine (packets in the bag). Wouldn't choose to go there again for vacation food, but I could make it work.

Two chicken fried steaks, one with brown gravy mashed potatoes and mac & cheese, one with sausage gravy coleslaw and mac & cheese

Great place for traditional comfort food! This is not fine dining. This is just plain good food with friendly service and a comfortable casual atmosphere. Exactly the kind of diner that I have always loved. There is nothing exotic or esoteric but if you are looking for great chicken fried steak or a really good breakfast, this is the place. Our server was really good and made good recommendations for us. The salad bar is not one of those gigantic things, kind of modest but everything was fresh and included phenomenal potato salad, great bean salad, would have been easy to fill up on by itself. We both got chicken fried steak, one with sausage gravy and one with brown gravy. Both were really good, both were twice as much as we could eat! The mac and cheese is also really good. On the way out as we were groaning from how full we were I saw the case had Smith Island cake so I know that I absolutely have to come back.

Christopher's Kitchen is hands down the best restaurant in Cambridge and something you do not find…read morejust anywhere. The menu is really fun and inventive, and everything we tried was excellent. There was not a single dish that disappointed. The craft cocktails were also a lot of fun and clearly well thought out. On top of that, the atmosphere is really romantic, which makes it a perfect spot for a date night. If you are looking for a unique place with great food and drinks, this is it.

The food was delicious, but the rest was a little off. First, the food. We stuck to appetizers:…read moreBrussels sprouts, mac and cheese, and the crab dip flatbread. All were excellent. I particularly liked the sweet corn on the flatbread. We also had cocktails- an old fashioned for me and a mojito for my friend - they were fine. The theme of the restaurant is Edgar Allen Poe, and they just went way too far with the literary idea. The menu was long-winded and confusing. You have to read each item carefully and try to decipher what you'll be getting. For example, the Aristocrat is "a feast for a king or his court, flame-forged angus blend cloaked in American cheese and enthroned upon shattered lettuce...". Huh? Is that a cheesesteak with shredded lettuce? I thought it was absurd and funny. My hangry friend did not see the humor. We both agreed this really good restaurant is doing itself a huge disservice by confusing customers. First rule of selling anything is to make it easy for the customer to want what you're selling. We did ask our server their favorites on the menu. They named a few appetizers and said they mostly stick to the less expensive items. This is supposed to be an upscale restaurant, and I would expect the staff to be well-educated on the food. I don't blame the server for not forking over the cash for a variety of menu items. It's a pricey place. But don't they prepare the staff to answer questions about the food by letting them taste everything? I thought it was standard practice to prepare tasting portions for waitstaff. This restaurant is currently too tied to their theme. With a little editing, this could be a great place. I hope more people give them a chance, offer constructive feedback, and that the management is open to suggestion.
