I do not normally leave negative reviews, but after nearly 10 years, I feel it is important to…read moreshare my experience. Before posting this review, I made every reasonable effort to resolve these issues directly with the company. I sent a formal letter over a year and a half ago outlining my concerns and requesting assistance, but I never received a response. More recently, I sent another detailed email, giving the company 14 days to respond with a plan to address these longstanding issues. That deadline has now passed, and once again, I received no response. This company installed my solar system in 2016. At the time of purchase, I was given expectations regarding the amount of energy the system would produce and the savings it would provide. Unfortunately, those expectations have never been met. In nearly ten years, my system has never produced the level of solar energy that was represented when I made this investment. As a result, I have spent thousands of dollars out of pocket on Southern California Edison bills that I reasonably expected my solar system would significantly reduce. Instead of receiving the savings I was promised, I have continued paying far more for electricity than I ever anticipated. What has been most disappointing is the lack of follow-through. The company has been aware of issues with my system for years, yet they remain unresolved. Despite numerous phone calls and emails over the years, I have received little to no communication, no meaningful updates, and no proactive effort to correct the ongoing problems. There were also issues from the very beginning. When my system was installed in 2016, I was never provided with the monitoring equipment that was supposed to come with it, nor was I informed that there was a monitoring app available. Without those tools, I had no way of monitoring my system's production or knowing that it was consistently underperforming. After years of phone calls and emails to the corporate office, I finally got someone to come out in 2023 to install the monitoring equipment that should have been installed from the beginning. It was only then that I learned there was an app that allowed me to monitor my system. During that same visit, the technician determined that my microinverters needed to be replaced. The replacement microinverters were shipped to my home, and the technician returned to pick them up for installation. However, the work was never completed. The technician left with the new equipment and never returned to finish the job. Despite additional attempts to follow up, I was once again left without answers or a resolution. I understand that mistakes happen and that every company occasionally encounters challenges. However, this is no longer a matter of a simple mistake or a temporary inconvenience. This has been an unresolved issue for nearly a decade. My goal has never been to leave a negative review. My goal has always been to have the solar system I paid for perform as it was represented and to have the company stand behind its product and installation. Unfortunately, after almost ten years, thousands of dollars in unexpected utility costs, years of unanswered phone calls and emails, an incomplete repair, and two formal written requests that went unanswered, I have been left with no meaningful communication and no resolution. I sincerely hope this review encourages the company to finally contact me, complete the repairs that should have been completed years ago, thoroughly evaluate my system, determine why it has consistently failed to meet the promised production, and stand behind the product they sold me. If the company reaches out with a genuine commitment to resolving these issues, I will gladly update this review to reflect that experience. I would much rather write about a company that ultimately made things right than one that chose not to.

I am writing to formally file a complaint against UniverCity Solar LLC, located at 242 East Airport…read moreDrive, San Bernardino, CA 92408, regarding unresolved roof damage, ongoing water intrusion, broken promises, and what I believe to be negligence and misrepresentation that dates back to 2022. UniverCity Solar has visited my home on two separate occasions over the past several years to address a roof leak that developed after the installation of their solar system. During those visits, their technicians identified cracked roof tiles as the cause of the leak, repaired those tiles, and sealed the affected areas. Despite these repairs, the roof leak continued. In January 2023, I communicated directly with Aaron, a representative of UniverCity Solar, who acknowledged the damage and promised that the company would repair the interior damage caused by the leak, including repainting the roof area stained by water intrusion. Aaron repeatedly delayed this work, citing a lack of available personnel, but reassured me multiple times that the repairs would be completed. At one point, he even stated that he intended to hire a professional painter to perform the work. Trusting these assurances, I waited in good faith for over a year, during which time no repairs were made. In late 2026, heavy rains resumed and caused additional damage, including deterioration to the drywall and window sill in my dining room--the same room originally affected by the roof leak. On December 3, 2026, UniverCity Solar sent Adam to inspect the roof. At that time, they claimed to have discovered damage to a board outside the solar panel areaand abruptly stated that they were no longer responsible for any repairs. This sudden reversal is unacceptable. Regardless of any newly identified issues, UniverCity Solar previously diagnosed the leak twice as being caused by cracked roof tiles, which they stated were responsible. I relied on their expertise and professional assessment. If their current claim is that the cracked tiles were not the cause, then the company is still responsible for misdiagnosing the issue on multiple occasions, which directly resulted in delayed corrective action and increased damage. Due to the age of the damage and the prolonged delays caused by UniverCity Solar, I am now unable to file a homeowners insurance claim, as the issue is no longer considered new damage. Their failure to correctly diagnose and permanently resolve the problem has directly hindered my ability to seek insurance coverage, resulting in financial harm. Additionally, I am deeply disappointed to learn that Tim, the salesperson who sold me UniverCity Solar's services, misrepresented the company's roofing credentials. I was told that UniverCity Solar carried a full roofing license, only to be informed later by Aaron that they carry only a limited roofing license. This discrepancy further undermines my trust in the company. I am especially disheartened by this treatment given that I have provided over three referrals to UniverCity Solar, all of whom became paying customers. This level of neglect and refusal to honor written and texted commitments--copies of which I possess--is unacceptable and does not reflect the service that was promised to me. At this point, I am unsatisfied and disappointed with UniverCity Solar's conduct and believe their actions constitute negligence and potential malpractice. I am requesting that UniverCity Solar be held accountable for: * Honoring their written and verbal commitments * Repairing the interior and exterior damage caused by the roof leak * Addressing the ongoing water intrusion issue in full I processed additional complaints to the Federal Trade Commission report number 195345513 and the Better Business Bureau under the Pacific Southwest, Central & Inland California division.

Every team member was courteous and competent, all of them did their part to complete our solar panel and battery project. So I have 10 panels that arent' working, and a monitoring system that isn't working. I've been going back and forth with them for well over five weeks to get it resolved. They've said the company that manufactured my panels (apparently an in-house brand that is no longer operating) is out of business, so they've been "trying to secure panels with the proper wattage" for over a month. No update as of today. It's really frustrating that I have these problems, a warranty to cover it, and it's not being taken care of in a timely fashion. Between a pool, an EV and five humans in my house, those 10 panels do a lot of the work, and now I'm just eating the cost. I have expressed that I'm frustrated (especially because they never call me--I have to follow-up weekly to get them to talk to me), but it just seems like they care to do anything about it. It's just a "we're still waiting". Make some calls, secure the pipeline for the panels, and replace my panels, please. Next step if we cannot move forward in the coming week will be the better business bureau.

I wanted to share my recent wonderful experience with my recent service visit with Infinity Solar…read more I purchased my system in 2024 (detailed review also done); during this time, my solar generation has been absolutely wonderful, and sized perfectly by Kay. My electric bill is essentially free over all of 2025 and this year. Some months have a $10 dollar bill, other months negative depending on how sunny each day is. I have had zero issues whatsoever and system works like clockwork. The installation over my tile roof, done through Terrazas roofing, partnered with Solar has also been top notch with zero issues with multiple major storms last year. I would say i was 110% satisfied with my decision to go solar and with Infinity solar. Fast forward to 2026. A series of recent power outages resulted in no power in my home. My initial thinking was that my system should have generated power with a fully charged battery during this outage. After calling Infinity, it was relayed that my system per contract was only set up for load shifting by design, lowering cost which I had decided on. After discussing 2 options to allow for backup power generation, i decided to proceed with the upgrade. Throughout the process, the entire team supported me exceptionally, starting with Sara who stepped in to help speak to me when the service department was not available at the time. As i did'nt understand my contract fully,, i reached out to Kay in sales, whom i did not speak to in 2 years, who really went above and beyond to explain to me in full detail how my system was set up, and options i had to upgrade. Kay treated me like family. I was so appreciative of her kind approach. She helped coordinate a technical call with Joel to fully answer all my technical questions. Once i decided i was comfortable with to proceed with the upgrade, the service team took over, with Vanessa and Brianna helping me schedule my service. Vanessa and Brianna work tremendously well together; super friendly, pleasant, professional and helpful. I requested looking into a couple options which Vanessa followed up on and accommodated without hesitation. A straight forward and exact quote was provided on Thursday. Their service and help was fantastic and greatly appreciated. Upon approving my quote on Thursday, my service was completed on the following Tuesday, much faster than I expected. Upgrade was performed by Ivan, electrician specialist. Ivan also initially setup my system in 2024. His expertise is perhaps, in my view, the finest in the industry. I felt very fortunate and appreciative knowing i hd my system in the best hands. He spent about 3 hours working on my system, explaining all the steps. Work performed was tremendous. Ivan patiently answering all my questions on some of the system parameters forgotten over the past 2 years. System was up and running and verified to work fully with a simulated power outage performed through the fuse box, and through the app. I was thrilled to now have backup power during outages. Billing and final payment was as quoted and super easy. In closing, the real mark of any business is how you are treated after the job is complete. My belief is that Infinity solar lives up to their reputation of being an exceptional 5 star company providing high expertise solar services through all phases of a project; sales, installation, commission, operational life, and post installation services. In a business of fraught with fly by night companies, Infinity Solar is a true gem. Solar done right with integrity, highest expertise, and exceptional, prompt service when called on. Thanks again to the entire Infinity team. 5 Star once again! Dave C

Our experience with Infinity Solar's post-installation support has been extremely frustrating…read more We selected Infinity Solar partly because its sales representative repeatedly assured us that post-installation support would be handled smoothly. We were told: "We will be your number 1 phone call - always for all service related inquiries and anything to do with your solar system. We will address the issue and bill Solar insure so they can pay us for our services," "Year 9 or 11 or 30. It's all covered for us and you," ""The only time you contact solar insure directly is if Infinity goes out of business," "you can expect the same level of customer service throughout the project and afterwards as well," etc. Those assurances were a significant factor in our decision to choose Infinity Solar over competing installers. Unfortunately, our post-installation experience has been very different. Our system was installed in 2024. In July 2025, Enphase confirmed that the System Controller 3 included in our contract had never been installed. Because the controller's primary purpose relates to backup functionality during outages, there was no obvious indication during normal operation that a contracted component was missing. Infinity acknowledged that it had been "missed". Rather than immediately correcting the omission, Infinity proposed various solutions involving additional load center and other components costing from $4k to $11k just to remediate the issue. We were surprised that correcting a component omitted from the original installation was presented as a new project requiring thousands of dollars of additional equipment. After doing my own research, sending repeated follow-up emails, and spending months corresponding with Infinity, Infinity eventually acknowledged that it had missed the original controller and we reached a simpler $888 meter-collar solution, with Infinity handling the permitting process. The controller was installed and programmed in Nov 2025, but the permitting process continued into 2026. In July 2026, Infinity said it was still going "in circles between the fire dept and the city," and in September said it still had not heard anything definitive. These updates came only after we initiated follow-up emails requesting status information. In September 2026, our Enphase app reported a gateway-measurement problem, while reported production dropped about 40%. Enphase customer support found a discrepancy between the production meter and microinverter data and recommended an on-site inspection of the production-meter wiring and current transformer installation. We contacted Infinity. No response. After two more follow-ups and a 9-day wait, Infinity finally responded and informed us that an on-site visit would cost $400 for the first hour and $150 for every additional hour merely to diagnose whether the problem qualifies for warranty coverage. I am not opposed to reasonable fees for truly non-warranty work. I object to this substantial diagnostic fee never being clearly disclosed during the sale. We were given the impression that Infinity would address service issues promptly and bill Solar Insure. Infinity now says the fee is diagnostic and customers must first pay $400 plus $150 per additional hour before learning whether the issue is related to workmanship or warranty coverage. Customers are also given no indication of how many hours the diagnostics may ultimately require. Infinity further suggested we contact Enphase Care and other companies to solve this issue instead. Completely different from what they promised during the sales process. The fee is high enough that many customers may decide not to pursue diagnostics at all, making no determination whether it is a workmanship error. Secondly, the issue is not the existence of a diagnostic fee. The issue is transparency. Had this policy been clearly explained during the sales process, customers could have made a fully informed decision. In our experience, the sales promises, system design, warranty expectations, and actual service process were not communicated transparently. Prospective customers should insist on written disclosure of all diagnostic charges, warranty exclusions, system limitations, included components, and permit responsibilities before signing. If your system never develops a problem, you may have a different experience. If it does, be prepared for delays, repeated follow-ups, and a post-installation experience that does not match the expectations created during the sales process.
