Luckily, DXL has always been there to supply me with some clown shoes that are not only comfortable, but they look good and don't break my bank account. So I tend to have a positive opinion of them. Until my last shopping experience. I had gotten a coupon in the mail for what seemed like a very generous offer. I don't remember what it is, but it was very good. Enough to get me into the store, which was their goal. The discount was for something like a flat amount off the total purchase, or maybe a percentage discount. Don't really remember but you get my drift I hope. After trying on a handful of shoes, I found three or four pairs that I was happy with and wanted to buy. I brought them to the front of the store, which was being staffed by a guy i had been chatting with my whole time there. He was very personable and friendly. Good guy. He rang up my order and went to use my coupon. Ladies and gentlemen, this is when the malarkey started to happen. I had naïvely assumed I would just be able to use the coupon on any shoes in the store. How stupid of me! DXL is a corporation, of course they'll be operating with predatory practices. There was more fine print on that stupid coupon than a contract with the devil. Not ONE of the shoes that I wanted to buy were eligible to be used under that coupon. After reading it, I realized that I had got sent a coupon for a discount for shoes in which probably half the stores inventory did not qualify for. Probably will not be returning to the store with business practices like that.

The most concerning issue is the condition of the rugs throughout the store. They are torn, frayed, and tangled to the point where they present a clear tripping hazard. It is not a minor detail. It is something anyone can see the moment they walk in. It makes the store look neglected and creates an unsafe environment for shoppers who should not have to watch every step they take. The return policy is another major problem. For a brand that charges premium prices, the policy feels restrictive and outdated. There is no flexibility and no real consideration for the fact that customers are investing a significant amount of money in their products. Other retailers in the same price range have moved forward with more reasonable policies, but this location has not. Aritzia may sell beautiful clothing, but the overall experience at this store does not match the quality of the merchandise. Safety, customer care, and basic upkeep should not be optional. Victoria was excellent, engaging, and courteous. Customer service is difficult, Neiman Marcus clearly has the training down as i did observe all other representatives performing the same routine with lots of attention and quality. Previous reviews and lower star reviews have a common theme, and it is that the person feels as if net-worth dictates treatment. That the representative or the staff must cater to your arrogance level. "I have this, i spend this, therefore you should treat me better than anyone else" It's absurd and toxic to the community.

I love the Natick Collection, on whole, because you can visit all of these high end shops and departments stores without looking and acting like a snob and still receive genuine, warm customer service. The bad part: The sports jacket had to be ordered in my size. It arrived yesterday, not in a box, but stuffed directly into a small plastic envelope.a I took everything back to the store and opened the package there. The jacket was not my size, although a paper tag had been attached to the sleeve contradicting the interior label. It also looked like someone had stepped on it. I learned that the jacket is not (or no longer) in stock in my size. I returned everything, down to the socks. Good part: The return was handled graciously, down to the alterations fee. Bad part: I've wasted almost four hours (I live half-an-hour from the store); I have to start over again; and who knows if I can find anything as nice again? I frankly can't get over order fulfillment deliberately mislabeling clothing that they knew wouldn't fit, and abusing a beautiful garment to save perhaps two dollars on shipping and packaging.
