After sharing my experience on social media, the owner reached out to me personally, and I truly appreciate the time and attention he has given to resolving our long-standing issue. Since then, communication has been excellent, and the company has replaced our staircase window once again. We are grateful for their responsiveness and willingness to continue working toward a solution. At this point, we are hopeful that the problem has finally been resolved. Because the leak only occurs during heavy rain, we'll need to wait for the next storm to know for sure. If the window performs as it should, I will be more than happy to update my review again to reflect a successful resolution. We recently got several quotes to replace windows in our house. All of the quotes were for Milgard Trinsic windows. What we initially appreciated about legendary Cal rep Windows and doors was that they are family owned and local. The sales person, I believe his name was Chris, came to the house and was very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough in his presentation. That was the good. The very bad and disappointing came with the quote. Legendary was about $11,000 more for the exact same windows that the other six companies quoted us for. The sales person's selling point was how the windows are installed using a "Special airplane grade" sealant. He even had a cute little kit demonstrating the strength of the sealant. The sealant, OSI Quad sealant, is nothing special and is sold at Home Depot for about $13. A quick Google search showed me that. When I confronted the sales person on the fact that the sealant is not that special and sold at Home Depot, he just said "yeah I know." he then went on to explain that the quote was high because they have to pay their employees. I understand this but the other six quotes we got were $11,000 less give or take. I will give legendary the benefit of the doubt and assume they do good work. But it is definitely not worth almost double what every other quote was for. Beware when getting quotes from this company. Of the seven quotes we got, they were not even the highest rated company on yelp or any other website. read more

I am writing this review to warn everyone about the terrible quality and lack of accountability at Legendary Windows. I had an addition to my house and chose them for new windows. Because of the construction dust, I couldn't see the glass clearly at first. But after a thorough cleaning, I was shocked to find deep scratches all over the brand-new glass. Here is why you should stay away: Absurd Pricing: I was charged a staggering $15,000 for installation alone. They sent only two workers for two days. That is a lot of profit. Damaged Goods: They installed scratched, low-quality glass. Ghosting Customers: When I tried to reach out for a resolution, I found out that many other customers are reporting they "changed ownership" as an excuse to avoid taking responsibility for their previous mistakes. They take your money ($15k for labor!) and leave you with damaged products, then vanish. This is not a "Legendary" company; it's a predatory business. Fabulous Window Replacements! We recently undertook a major project to replace more than 40 windows in our home. During our selection process, we considered both glass replacement and full retrofit options. After consulting on each and weighing the pros and cons, we ultimately chose to move forward with new retrofit windows. We received three estimates from three different window professionals, and we decided to sign with Legendary CALREP. One vendor came in at nearly triple the cost of the others, but between the two competitive bids, Legendary stood out--not just in pricing, but in the confidence they inspired regarding delivery and installation. Having recently finished installing wainscoting throughout our first floor, avoiding any damage was absolutely critical. I had 3 kitchen windows made larger and not only was the process of ordering the windows with Jason Allen a smooth transaction, but the install was so thorough, including clean up. This window company went above and beyond what I had other window companies do. I had faulty windows with 2 other co. once installed and I had to go through warranty process myself. With Legendary they did the warranty process and made certain everything worked out. I must say they have been the easiest company to deal with and the owners Scott and Jason came by during install to make certain all went perfectly. Overall the windows are beautiful. Each window was $1k each = $15k. Two sliding glass door 3-panel doors were $7k each. Total install = $15k. A couple poor experiences happened since our install in 2021, besides the windows being on back order due to Covid for 4-6 months, and one window was the wrong color. Here are our main issues: 1) one window leaks when it rains. When we called to voice our concerns to get our new window fixed, they said that's normal for a window to leak. !? 2) the new windows were too big for the current window space so after we ordered the windows, they told us we need to pay an extra $700 to paint wood panels around the window black. They gave us a discount for that extra labor and expense but I had to negotiate for it. 3) the painters who started painting our Windows did a terrible job and ruined some of the windows sliders. We fired them early in the job and asked our handyman to do it. 4) the 3-panel doors are beautiful but they seem kind of cheap because the door handle continually gets loose and almost comes off the panels. Our handyman had to fix it at least 3 times in the last 2-3 years. These are new panel doors. Overall I would've expected a better experience spending $30,000. read more

Initial communication was repeated 1 question messages through yelp after I gave my phone number. Would have been more productive to receive a phone call. Once I did receive call, the exact questions were asked again. Very pushy representative on the phone. They could not get past meeting with just me as the homeowner and requested/insisted that all homeowners be present to make the decisions. I stated repeatedly that I was requesting the consultation and it would be with just me. Rep proceeded to ask for my wife's name and a good time for the both of us since this is a decision for all. Hard to deal with a company that cannot get past my requests. Immediately requested to have previous conversation removed and I will be looking elsewhere. I'm a real estate broker and I deal with a lot of different vendors. Every time I pass out a company to a client it's a reflection on me. I will ALWAYS refer clients to Legendary. Not only are their prices excellent but their customer service is freaking awesome. I recently needed to have a window replaced that they didn't even sell or install. Milguard denied the claim and we were prepared to buy a new window from Legendary. Instead of selling us a new window they called Milguard and explained why the warranty should have covered the issue and boom new window. I had legendary install a door and sidelight almost a decade ago ( 2014! ) when they were still in their Irvine facility. This past year, the sidelight started showing a couple of issues that I was trying to figure out whether just from age , the manufacturers or the original installation so I reached back out to Legendary to see if they can help repair/ assess. I loved the door and it was custom stained also by Legendary. It had been a long time of course and I assumed they would suggest a new door or costly repairs when I reached out. The owner Jason called and talked me through the issue and offered to send a technician to take a look. He also suggested a painter that could restain the door to its original glory. Legendary wasn't the least expensive of the four companies I received quotes from, but the service was well worth the slight price difference. I was referred to this business in 2019 when I wanted to replace all my windows and glass sliding door. I got several bids and their price was the best. I had odd shape windows like the one in the picture, and they did a great job. The employees who installed the windows were extremely polite, courteous and worked clean. This January I called them again and had them install windows and glass sliding doors at my parents house. Once again, the price was reasonable. The installers were great, easy to work with and they vacuumed every room where they installed windows and/or doors before they left. I would definitely recommend this business. We had three French doors replaced in April with Milgard French doors. We chose legendary because they had a good reputation and we felt comfortable after meeting the owner. All in all they did a great job. We were concerned about our stucco because we have a very fine stucco texture on the house and legendary doors and windows matched it exactly - you can't even tell that the doors were replaced. Along the way Company dropped the ball on communication a couple times, but we are very satisfied with the end result. read more

I called Legendary Doors & Windows due to a locking issue on my Milgard sliding back Patio door! Scott was very helpful. He took the time to walk me threw a few steps I can do before having the Pros come out. Ended up there was to much tension on the locking mechanism. So backing the screws out quarter turn solved the problem. I appreciate the customer service and experience with this company. Highly recommend them. Amazing experience with Cal Rep. They were one of the only companies willing to do new construction replacement windows on a stucco home. Most other companies pushed for retrofit because it's easier and quicker, but leaves you with smaller glass, old wood framing, and an unsightly large vinyl trim. They handled the stucco patching as well as the interior trim. Cal Rep also recommended Anlin which we hadn't heard of but after researching more perfectly fit our needs. Anlin is the only major manufacturer offering a lifetime warranty on the black finish of their vinyl windows. The quality of the materials and the install is absolutely top notch. After several major storms this year there have been zero leaks. The only minor comment is that we found a few nails laying on the ground indoors after the job was finished. Because I was so disappointed with their follow up ( After I posted my first review the owner responded and promised to call me the following week but he ever did.) My patients ran out after three weeks, So I called and requested to speak to the owner. What happened was a surprise! Jack the new owner ( They joined legendary group Incorporation) called me, from the beginning to end of the conversation, he had a very professional attitude, fair enough to accept my proposal which was $300 dollars( 10% the Arch window installation cost) to compensate the tore curtain (old Hunter Douglas). His wife Pearl was so nice and kind. She sent the company check with a card attached saying: Thank you for the opportunity to correct our installers error. I am very pleased with the outcome. My home had original windows and we looked around for best service and price. we stumbled across CalRep. Salesman was great, ease of appointment and day of service was great EXCEPT FOR...four years later and now three windows have massive leaks. They have come out three times to "seal" and "fix" the problem but apparently they won't own up to poor installation of windows being the issue. No upgrades have been done, no taking down or anything has been done to possibly lead to the leaks and I've emailed and called them again, and they won't answer. I know they show great reviews but a company, if they pride themselves in their work as they supposedly do, would attempt to do the right thing and make their wrong right. It's a damn shame too because the windows look beautiful and the house looks beautiful but what's the point if the windows can't do their job??? Be careful. read more

We needed five outdated windows replaced. We contacted Legendary Doors and Windows and Scott came to our house to give us an estimate. He took preliminary measurements, promised an estimate with 24 hours and came through just like he said. A couple of days later another team member came over and got the exact measurements and ordered the windows. He gave us a time frame for ordering and installing the windows and they arrived about a week earlier than we expected, which was nice. Two guys came to our house for the job and they were outstanding. They introduced themselves and got to work. They obviously knew what they were doing. The windows are over eight feet tall each and it was a challenge getting them on the roof and installed. They were efficient, well equipped and had the job done in about five hours including clean up. I highly recommend this company. Riley is another highlight of the company. She is efficient and easy to talk to and if she doesn't know the answer she makes sure that someone follows up. Honestly I can't recommend them highly enough. I read the one star reviews and I guess something can always fall through the cracks which is unfortunate, but our experience with this company was excellent. We have other projects on the horizon and they will be getting a call from us. read more
