Update: Had their NY style recently and it was delicious. One of the best in town now (if not the best). Great job!

Bombolino with pastry cream

Are you craving REAL NY style pizza? Well look no further this is the real deal. I grew up in NY with 3 pizza parlors within walking distance under the 'A' train el. They were all owned by Italian immigrants. If you appreciate a crust that's both crisp and foldable than you will love this pizza. Perfect balance of sauce and cheese. I saw a reviewer gave it one star, and they gave Lou Malnati's deep dish 5 stars. They obviously don't get and maybe never had NY pizza. Pastries are also made fresh daily. I had a Bombolino filled with pastry cream. Chocolate and berry were also available the day I went as well as beautiful Cornetto with pistachio cream. I also get the arugula salad, simply dressed with tomatoes and shaved Parmesan. It's my favorite pizza after moving here in 2020 and searching for REAL NY PIZZA

Delicious pizza with fresh ingredients and great flavor combinations! We tried the mushroom, prosciutto and arugula, and one with artichoke and all were delicious! The crust had a nice chew and eat pizza has a ton of flavor! Will definitely come back to try more!

Wife and I found this gem for lunch today. ABSOLUTELY the BEST pizza we've ever had outside of Italy!!! This is going to be our new fav spot, can't wait to try the whole menu.

The Pontone has changed it used to be the best now it's terrible and small as a cupcake for 40 bucks. It's insane.

Picked up two pies. Real wood fire, you could smell the smoke in the parking lot. More New York than Napoli. Will be going back for sure.

Authentic Scicillian pasta and pizza in a small but "chill" location. BYOB allows patron to pair food with Chianti or Super Tuscan.

My favorite Italian spot in Naperville! Definitely check it out if you're in the area. We came for…read moredinner, and there's both outdoor seating and a ginormous interior with plenty of tables. It's definitely a good spot for larger groups. Our server was also super knowledgeable about the menu and walked us through which pastas and pizzas were the most popular, which ones were seasonal, and which ones get rotated out. I really appreciated the recommendations because there were so many things I wanted to try. We ordered: - Short rib gnocchi: The short rib was extremely tender and basically disintegrated as soon as you touched it. The gnocchi paired really well with it too. - BBQ chicken pizza: We ordered both the Margherita pizza and BBQ chicken and I would definitely get the BBQ chicken again. The sauce had the perfect amount of tanginess and savory flavor without overpowering the pizza. - Chicken parmigiana: Don't skip this! The chicken had the perfect amount of savory flavor and worked so well with the tomato sauce and vodka rigatoni. This ended up being one of my favorites of the meal. I was so glad we were able to order and try so many different dishes. This is definitely a family-style kind of spot, so if you come with a larger group, you'll get to try a lot more options. Already looking forward to coming back and trying more of their rotating dishes!

3-Star Review - Gia Mia…read more The food and overall experience were worth recommending, but unfortunately, our first interaction with the hostess/greeter was disappointing. The Hispanic woman with long hair who greeted us seated us at a table right by the entrance. We politely asked if another table was available because we preferred not to sit directly in the path of people coming in and out. She rolled her eyes and walked away without saying a word. When another table finally became available, she brought us over, and we both thanked her about twice. She wouldn't even look at us or acknowledge our thanks and simply walked away. Her attitude came across as very rude and unwelcoming, and it left a bad first impression. On the other hand, our waitress was wonderful! She was kind, polite, and welcoming, and she did an excellent job throughout our experience. She deserves recognition for her great service. I would still recommend Gia Mia, but I hope management addresses the importance of hospitality with the greeting staff. The hostess is often the first person customers interact with, and unfortunately, this experience made us feel unwelcome before we even had a chance to enjoy our meal. Everyone deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect, especially when making a simple, polite request. It would have been 5 stars if it weren't for that first interaction!

We were visiting Naperville from out of town and decided to have dinner at Lou Malnati's because of…read moreits great reputation. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing--not because of the food, but because of the customer service at the front host station. Since it was quite loud inside the restaurant, we requested an outdoor table. After being seated, we realized that the table directly behind us included three men who were socializing and drinking beer. While two of them were simply enjoying themselves, one gentleman appeared to have had too much to drink and became increasingly loud, making it difficult for us to enjoy our meal. I went back inside and politely asked the host--the same person who had seated us--if we could be moved to another outdoor table. Instead of showing concern or offering assistance, he immediately responded that moving us would take a while and told us to simply wait at our table. His attitude came across as dismissive, and no one ever followed up or came outside to help us relocate. As the evening continued, the situation became worse. The loud guest eventually dropped a glass, shattering it and causing beer to splash onto another customer nearby. Even after this happened, no one addressed our earlier request to move. Our waitress was pleasant and took our order, but she never mentioned the seating issue or offered an alternative. I've dined at many restaurants over the years, and this was one of the few times I've genuinely felt ignored as a customer. A simple acknowledgment, an update, or an effort to accommodate our request would have made a significant difference. I don't believe this experience reflects every Lou Malnati's location, which is why I hope management reviews how guests are treated at the front host station. The host could benefit from additional customer service and hospitality training or terminated. Guests should never feel that their concerns are an inconvenience. In today's highly competitive restaurant industry, great food alone isn't enough. Outstanding customer service is what brings guests back. When customers feel heard, respected, and valued, they become loyal patrons. When they feel ignored, they often choose to dine elsewhere. I hope this feedback is taken in the constructive spirit in which it is intended, because I would like future guests to have a much better experience than we did.
