I had a great experience with California Tint. I brought my Lexus RZ350e here to get ceramic tint done, and overall I'm really happy with the result. The price was fair for the full car, and I appreciated that it came with a lifetime warranty. The service was smooth, the staff explained the options, and the tint came out looking clean. It also made a big difference with the heat, especially since I drive a lot and wanted something that would help keep the car cooler. Overall, I feel like the quality and value were worth it, and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for tinting. read more

Peter is an always putting the customer first. Been going to him with all my cars and trucks for over 15 years! Legit.

I have been coming to this place for all of my car's tint. Pete always provides good work and does not push any unnecessary things onto the car. Recently, I tinted my RAV4, and Pete recommended that I not tint the back windows if I don't need the limousine black. He is just a good guy. read more

Lifetime warranty? Here's the deal on that. Better pray and hope your tint doesn't bubble up because they will make it a hassle to redo the tint if you have to bring it back for retinting if that. Good luck to everyone that believes they will warranty the lifetime warranty. read more

I'm honestly shocked I have not written a review for this place yet. Have been coming here for over 25 years. Same owner, same great prices, same excellent service. They offer lifetime warranty for their work. I've had some cars over 10 years without any problems. I'll sell my car before I need to fix my tint. Literally every single car I've ever owned has been here. All of my parents cars, friends, etc. This place is good, so they get PACKED. My best advice is go before they open and try to be one of the first cars in. If you can leave your car for the day and get picked up, even better. Otherwise if you're gonna wait you'll have to be there at least 2 hours if you're first. This place is definitely worth the effort though. read more

I brought my car here 3 years ago and it still looks brand new tint ! It wasn't expensive either and the quality is great too

They do not honor their lifetime warranty policy. I would recommend going to another shop that actually honors their policy.

You have to show up super early to make sure you get a spot. I tinted my truck 7 years ago and the tint has been pretty solid. Decided to get the Tesla tinted as well - satisfied with results. Price is decent. Teslas take a bit longer to tint because the windows slightly open when opening your doors. read more

Was referred to this place by a friend who had a nice tint experience so we decided to give it a try for our Lexus and it was definitely worth it! They don't take appointments. It's FCFS. My husband went early and got there around 8:40am but there was already a car in front of him. Luckily it was a Tesla because they took my husband first before the Tesla (I think it requires a little bit more time with a Tesla since the windows open/close when you open the door). Peter was amazing! Very nice and knowledgeable and patient. He asked my husband his tint darkness preference and when he put on one layer, he asked him to double check and we went for a darker layer so he went ahead and did that for the rest of the windows. He did a total of 4 windows and it came out to about $200-$250 so definitely worth it. It is recommended not to open the windows for at least 2 days. When we first looked at it, you'll notice some air bubbles, but that went away after a day. Overall, the tint looks great and you can't see much from the outside. Definitely recommend! read more

They were quick, friendly and sure I was clear on what the warranty covered before they started. This is the third car I've brought in, very happy with their service. The one thing I wish I knew before getting the tint strip on the windshield was that it couldn't fade (has to be part of the glass), but I should have researched that. If I knew, probably wouldn't have gotten it. read more

Owner Peter is knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Make an appt ahead of time. Most people, including the owner, gets the front 35% (sides), and back 18% (sides and back windshield) = $200ish. Open 9am weekday, come at 830am even with an appt. Fill out form, know/learn what you want, pick up in 4hours when called. They've been in business for a long time = popular, established. They use to be popular for cheap and good quality. Owner Peter is very patient and willing to educate you. Just let him serve his customers first, and talk to you on the side when orders are done with others. He'll still save your number in line. Packed. On a Tuesday, I came at 830am to be 1st in line. 2 more cars came around 845am. Around 915amish, there's a huge swarm of usual clients who know what they want, fill out the form and pay later. Difficult to get into their small parking lot. Traffic is really bad around 8am but this place is reliable and very affordable. A friend has been doing their car tons here for awhile and suggested the place. For luxury cars, he has a different place. Payment: After work is completed. Apparently, CA legal tint is like nothing when it comes to the front windshield, or 2 front side windows. What we got: Cool. Got the non-ceramic/cheaper easy tinting: 1. Front Windshield Top Shade Visor (not full tinting): $40 18% tint. Usually 4inches but he gave me 8inches, understanding my mainy conerc of sun from front windshield when driving. I chose this cheaper option visor ($40) instead of legal CA tint % of front windshield ($275ish). 2. Front: 2 side windows 35% tint. 3. Back: 2 side windows and back windshield 25% tint (legal) which is darker than 35%. = $290 pay later. They take cash too. Most people, including the owner also gets front 35% (side windows), and back 18% (side windows and back windshield). Backs are legal but you must be cautious if you're living in a dark neighborhood cause it's difficult to see at night if top dark. 18% is usual for many ppl, but I was going to keep it safe, cause we do drive thru dark areas, or for camping. (FYI, I have other friends who got bubbles months later. Bare in mind of my experience: I have an old car/not used or cared for in any vain way. I saw a possible bubble same day, and I just pressed down and it was fine. A month later, and everything looks find so far. Maybe we got lucky? Getting it done during not summer hot days/letting the tint cool for a month before the rain hit hard?). read more

My wife recommended me to get my car windows tinted here. She got her Prius done several years ago and really liked the job that Peter and his team did. I called Peter on a weekday morning and he was very friendly and provided me with a lot of good information. When I got to his shop, he was very patient with answering all of my questions and provided me with recommendations on what to get. Throughout my time there, he received several more calls from other customers wanting to get tints, so I would definitely recommend calling ahead to get your quote and estimated wait time before coming in. I ended up leaving my car with him to get my two front windows tinted for $100 total. I would recommend paying with cash if you want to avoid an extra credit card fee. The tint took about an hour and I came back to pick up the car. Overall, I am very happy with the overall process and tint. I would highly recommend anyone to come see Peter and his team for any car window tinting needs. read more

Great service and a great product. Job well done. Can't wait to get back here and do our other car. I thought it was very fair price!

Greeted with pleasantry and kindness upon entering the salesroom. I will admit the space was small and very messy. However what makes up for it was indeed the service had here. The price point to have my back window retinted was fair and the quality of work provided was great. My car was done and ready for pick up the next day. 4 stars given only because of the presentation that is the lobby area. First impressions are lasting impressions & while the work needed had nothing to do with what we saw, it was still something that I had to fill paperwork on top of. All in all, we would definitely recommend and return again! read more

i had my camry tinted here, awesome job. fast easy to work with, and the price is very reasonable.

This is the second time I've come here to tint my car windows and I would definitely recommend this place! I tinted 2 of my car windows for $150. The tint also looks amazing and provides great shade inside. read more

I went to this place when I got my windows tinted a few years back, and I had to come back and leave a good review. I went early in the morning to drop off my car, and the workers were nice answering the questions I had about tint percentages and the cost. Once I paid for it, I had to wait until later in the afternoon (around 4pm) to pick it up. I was amazed with the quality! I did not notice any blemishes on the job and to this day I am still happy with this purchase. I have recommended this place to a few of my friends and family and it has Thank you again for your service! read more

I'm not one to write a review often, especially a negative one, but my recent experience was an unpleasant one with Peter (owner of California Tint). I'm writing this review to give caution to those that are considering going to California Tint and to those who have been loyal customers (myself included) that when it comes to warranty work from Peter.....be prepared for a disappointment. I've been a customer of California Tint for over 20 years, and up until my recent experience, the customer service from Peter and quality of work has been perfect. I brought in my vehicle to have the front windshield , driver, and passenger side windows tinted. Received a call from Peter later that the car was ready for pickup. I did a quick visual check, and everything appeared to be fine. On the way home, I was stopped at a traffic light, and the sun was shining on the passenger side window, and that's when I noticed a faint scratch about 3 inches long. I then called Peter and told him what I'm seeing and that I'll need to bring the car back in for him to see the scratch. I picked up the car on Tuesday and told Peter that I could bring it in the next day, thinking that he would be okay with that. Instead... he said that the shop would be closed from Wednesday until the following Monday, which didn't make any sense to me, since the shop is open Monday through Saturday. I pass by the shop whenever I head to the gym, and sure enough, the shop was open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Needless to say....I felt disappointed that he told me otherwise. I dropped by Saturday and talked to Peter, and he told me to come by first thing Monday morning. I came by first thing Monday morning, before the shop opened its door and already there were a few people in front of me. The people in front were new customers, and instead of telling the people in front that he needed to take in my car first to address a warranty work.....he still did a "first come, first serve" attitude, which is unacceptable and poor customer service. When I showed Peter the scratch and the poorly cut edges of the window film along the edges of the windows, he was hesitant and reluctant to honor the warranty. I asked Peter how long it would take to remove and reinstall the tint for the 2 windows.....his response, I'll need a couple of hours. I waited at the shop from 10 am until 1 pm for 2 windows!!! The best part of this is... Peter cut the film himself, and the edges of the window still were poorly cut. A complete waste of my time going back to Peter, thinking that the work would be fixed and done correctly. When I showed Peter the issue with the work the 2nd time around, instead of being apologetic....he played dumb and was full of excuses. It's really disappointing and sad to be given the run around, lack of accountability, disregard of other people's time, and just hearing excuses after excuses from a business owner. read more

Price is appealing but you get what you pay for. Brought my accord coupe in for a full ceramic tint and initially was happy. Here's where it goes wrong; A little over a year goes by and I notice that my rear windshield is beginning to bubble. So I called in to inquire about the "lifetime warranty" that they promote which initially why I went with California tint. After speaking with a rep, I was told that the appointments to use lifetime warranty were to be made based on availability and there wasn't going to be a spot open for the next two months. Pretty ridiculous when considering that the appointments for regular tint was only a day wait. When I had mentioned that my rear tint was getting bad to the point where it was hard to see out of and requested a sooner date I was told to "just drive carefully" and that if I wanted to come in sooner I would have to pay the original cost to replace. What a POS response. I will never be coming back to this place and will make sure anyone that is even considering this place stays far away. Beware that "quality work" is not backed by warranty. read more

What else can I say? They did a great job AND at a great price! Thank you once again California Tint!

This place is amazing. Quality work and a great price. I have brought all of my cars here for their tinting, I cannot imagine taking them anywhere else. The best place to get car tints. I always recommend to all my SoCal friends even though I no longer live there. They do a great job, even years later my tints hold up. They also back their work up. Quality of materials used is also great but more importantly labor is superb. The prices can't be beat! I shopped around over the years and read reviews but I always came back here. We've tinted 5 cars here now. They did a great job on my BMW. I've also recommended more than a handful of my friends/family here. They are busy!!! No appointments so gotta get there right when they open if you're not willing to wait. Not much to do around there while you wait so plan accordingly. read more

I write reviews to help others with my honest opinion. I had my car tinted in 2013 and noticed the back window bubble up. I had my receipt to claim the "lifetime warranty", spoke with Peter, gave me the run around for literally 3 months. After calling back and forth with the shop and manufacturer to find a solution, Peter said he was going to charge for the tint to be replaced and I refused to pay for something under warranty. I let the manufacturer know Peter kept saying "call back next week" and they kindly helped sending me to a different shop to replace the tint. I really wanted to like California Tint due to a recommendation. Over the phone, they were extremely rude in telling me to come on a Monday or a weekday to get it done. Obviously, I was not going to take a day off to get my car tint so I just came on a random Saturday to take care of it. I was told it would take an hour or two upon starting. I dropped off the car at 9:30am and I didn't get a call back from the owner until 4:00pm. There were 3 cars already getting their tint done when I went and I assumed I was next. There were 3 incidents that just made this place not worth getting your tint done. Yeah, they are cheap but is it worth the customer service? Not really. 1) Upon entering, I told Chris that I was quoted $120 for the back two doors and rear window. He seemed to not like me when I came in because when I asked what was the difference between carbon 5 and 18, he said "look up" in the rudest way. I asked for a recommendation and he said he didn't know and to figure it out myself. He didn't explain any legality in it and assure me of anything. Literally so rude. 2) I asked Chris for a receipt for the service and I got a legit "no". WHAT DO YOU MEAN NO LOL. At this point, I was getting upset because his behavior was rude and unacceptable. It's not like I am close to him as a friend to not take it offensively either. He ended up giving me a pink slip to pick up the car but didn't say anything. SO RUDE. 3) As I was leaving the lot, I realized I forgot my water bottle. At this point, I already gave Chris my keys but I left the car unlocked. As I was about to enter my car, the doors locked and I looked up and saw Chris. I asked him to open the car so I can get my water bottle and he did. He said no words to me and no apology for it. Seriously?? Chris, you're not as cool as you think. I talked to Peter (the owner) about it when I came back and while he was apologetic, he noted for the car locking incident, it was an accident as if he was defending Chris. And that maybe Chris didn't know he pressed the lock button. There was no way that he could have not known. On BMW keys, it's literally a lock that's unlocked and a BMW symbol meaning lock. He didn't even apologize when he locked me out of my own car. I am sure Chris knows how keys work and that he just wanted to mess with me. Overall, just save your time and dignity with this place. Super rude customer service by Chris. read more
