I got my tint here a couple weeks back, good tint and fair price but he told me he tried to remove the 3rd brake light and it broke because the nuts were rusted on and he plastic is brittle. I get it, a 21 year old car and the plastic can be brittle shit happens. he did give me an air freshener at the end of the job. Well I went to the junk yard source a used one and found out later the way he took it out was wrong and the nuts wasn't rusted on. He took it off the wrong way. I really like the tint job and he professionalism but at least knock down the price for the broken piece that you caused. But none the less a good tint spot and hell of a price. I have taken my car here twice and both times Sam was the person helping me. The first car I took there was my dad's 2004 TL. The old tint was so bad that I couldn't let my dad drive it. I took it to Tint-X because I was referred by a friend. I took it there and got a price I couldn't refuse. They removed all the old tint and redid the tint to my specifications (35% for the rear and 60% for the front). The process took a few hours so I just left it with them and came back later. When I got back, the tint looked awesome! I could see through the tint, but it wasn't too dark. My dad loved it. Just a week ago, I took my 2004 TSX there to get tinted. I was quoted another great price so I went ahead and left it again. This time I went with 25% all around and 60% for the front windshield. I couldn't be happier with the tint. The staff was extremely friendly and Sam did an amazing job with the tint. I don't think I'll be going anywhere else from now on for tint. I highly recommend everyone to go here. Just to remove the rear windshield tint alone that was already half gone, Not going to give exact price that was given to me, but you can get an idea California Tint - more than $80 (didnt take a look before giving quote; takes whole day) Pro Tint - more than $40 (straight up price and expected to make decision on the spot; 2hours) Tint-X - more than $10 (took a look, consulted with me, then gave me quote; almost 45 minute) I spend almost 3 hours going around, and called around, for pricing and waiting time, i cannot believe everywhere else charged so much, and wait time is so long for half a tint that was already removed. Then i came across tint-x, which idk why they are so far at the bottom page for me which they were my last place to call. gave me more help than possibly the last 4 places i called/ visited in 5 minutes. This review is long overdue. My first visit here was actually two years ago when I needed to tint the car I had at the time and someone had recommended I try this place out. Tint-X was new at the time but I like to support local small businesses - so why not? Since then, I've leased a new car and Tint-X also provided my tint for that car. I've had numerous cars tinted at various places around the San Gabriel Valley and never really cared where I took it to, as long they could work with my schedule and were reasonably priced. Tint-X definitely offered both, but where they really set themselves apart is the customer service - which is why it's the only tint shop that I've gone to more than once, and will continue to do so. Sam helped me on both visits and made sure I understood the difference between my options. Other places I've gone to just basically asked me to pick something because they seemed to be in a hurry to get back to whatever they were doing. I get they're there to run a business but ultimately, your business is your customers. The other thing I appreciated is their promise to deliver! Other places I've gone to will do one of two things regarding finish times. They'll either not give you a time (probably because they're scared they can't fulfill the promise), or they'll give you a time and your car won't be ready when you show up. This was not the case here. The second time I took my car here, they actually called me in the middle of a late-lunch I took to try to kill time to tell me my car was ready. A pleasant surprise to say the least. I can't say enough great things about this place, and I really like the fact that I can support new businesses who deserve it. People who aren't afraid to work hard, stand behind their product, and treat you like a person always earn (and deserve) my business. read more
