All windows, windshield, moonroof came out a few hundred under what two other places quoted me for the same thing. Easy call. Nice lady up front checked me in when I got there. The guy taking my order just asked what I wanted on each window. I did my research and knew what I wanted, so I told him the film and shades, he said ok, done. I'm so used to shops trying to upsell me that I came in ready to say no, no, and no. Never had to. And never had to flag either of them down to ask something, or feel like I was bothering them. Had tint done somewhere else before so I've got something to compare to, and the work here is noticeably cleaner. Edges are tight, way fewer water pockets and they're tiny, I expect them gone soon. Probably bringing my 1st gen Taco here next to get retinted. Drove almost an hour each way and still worth it. Will update review if anything changes but I'm satisfied with the result.

Eventually, I got tired of waiting, called another local tint shop, and took the car there instead. I don't mind paying a fair price for good work, but I expect consistent pricing and a business to be open when it's supposed to be. After giving them another opportunity, I decided to take my business elsewhere.

The person who helped me seemed nice and was transparent about removing the stickers I had so they could place the film. On the other hand, I looked in the backseat and saw there were scuff marks/ black marks left on my seats---and since the seats are made of cloth, I don't know how easily they'll get out. I don't know why they didn't use film or paper to cover the seats while they worked on the back window. They never called or texted me to tell me that my car was done. I was waiting for a few hours, and it was only after I called them first that they told me the car was ready. They had my number too. Overall the film was quality, but they should keep in mind that customers need to know when their cars are ready, and that we don't have time to clean our own seats that they dirtied up in the first place.

COMMITMENT TO MOVING QUICKLY WHILE NEVER OVER-PROMISING - Where Irwindale Windows distinguished itself was in its commitment to moving the project forward quickly while providing realistic timelines. They prioritized getting installers out to take final measurements asap, which was critical because the HOA required a city permit before work could begin. Her presence at the Building Department made a critical difference in getting the permit approved on a Friday afternoon rather than having the process delayed until the following week. Of course, my luck struck and the convertible top stopped working today, which made accessing the rear window extremely difficult since it couldn't be put halfway down. To make matters harder, there are two tabs on each side that make getting into the corners almost impossible (see picture). Lino was super upfront and explained that without the top opening, it would be a tough job and he couldn't guarantee a 100% bubble-free installation. But after about three hours, it came out perfect! He pointed out a few tiny imperfections that will dry up and disappear as it cures, but reassured me that if anything is still there after a week, I can just bring it back and he'll fix it. What impressed me most is that even though the original quote assumed the top would come down to make the labor easier, he didn't charge me a dime extra for the additional effort. I highly recommend Top Tint Shop! They are super honest, friendly, and skilled at what they do. Plus, the waiting room is really comfortable, featuring a big puffy leather couch and complimentary snacks. I'll definitely be back to bring my wife's car to get the side windows tinted as well.
