the attention was great, cleanness was also great but I would like there to be curtains that don't let too much light in.

I had the pleasure of having a sleep study done at this REM Sleep Diagnostics location…read more The staff here have been very friendly and helpful. I can't recall the lady I spoke with a couple of times over the phone and in person, but she was very familiar with my insurance provider and gave me suggestions on who to get my CPAP machine with, and recommended having a copy of my sleep study for my own records (which came in handy since my primary care doctor's office somehow didn't receive the one I sent to them). The other lady that did my sleep study was also very friendly, down-to-earth, and helpful. She reassured me that I wouldn't be bothering her if I needed things throughout the night. The rooms are decent for a night's rest. Remember, you are staying here for a sleep study, which is not meant to give you a 5-star hotel experience, but to see if you have any issues with your breathing while you sleep or any other sleep issues. My room included an attached bathroom, a fan, and a couple of covers to make your stay a bit more comfortable. The bed and pillows were comfortable. They do allow you to bring your own pillow from home, if you desire, which is what I did. I did, however, use the pillows they provided whenever I decided to sleep on my side. 5 out of 5 stars.

Just finished a sleep study here this morning. Check in was great and Russ, the Technician, was…read morefriendly and helpful. Room was ok and appeared clean. Hard to sleep with all the gadgets attached to your head and body, but that's just part of the study. Nothing you can do about that. What detracted from the experience was the checkout. I was pretty much rustled out of bed, gadgets removed, told to fill out a survey, and pay my copay online. I quickly packed up, filled out the survey left at the reception table, and departed without ever seeing another REM employee. Two hours later I receive a phone call from their office from.some.lady with a bad attitude. Acted like I had ran out my Grand Slam breakfast check at Denny's by leaving and not paying my copay. I let her know I was told to pay online. She said yes, but I didn't take the slip of paper I needed from the office to do that. I then told her I wasnt informed by anyone before leaving to do that and perhaps it would be better to brief their employees to be present to explain the copay process rather than harass the patient after the fact. Bottom line: great check-in, difficult sleep, lousy checkout, rude and unprofessionalreceptionist. I hear there's a better sleep study office in Davis. I'd go there if I had to do this again.

Staffed well, very thorough and professional. I love sleeping with a fan and they immediately made the accommodation. A little misleading by saying to prepare for a normal nighttime routine, because I was told I couldn't wear my AirPods or watch tv on my phone longer than 20-30min. It didn't feel like I could get comfortable how I normally do at home, but I understand. I was also asked to remove my nose ring and septum, which was not communicated on any of my phone calls. Just a thought to potentially include in preparation conversations since there is a list for prep and hygiene.

If you have them provide any services you need to follow all transactions with your insurance…read morecompany carefully as they do not have an experienced, knowledgeable billing staff. They can't answer billing questions. They coded an insurance claim incorrectly so it was denied initially. When it was resubmitted and paid the supplementary insurance was not automatically billed because of the original denial. They are rude and tell you it's your problem and you owe the money. Keep in mind, it was their fault in the first place for not knowing how to code an insurance claim form. Hung up on me when I requested a written history showing what was billed, paid and denied so I could determine if I really owed the dollars.

I've been a patient of Dr. Barth for 6 weeks now and I cannot say how happy I am. Initially, I was…read moredepressed and had been taking sleeping pills (Zolpidem) for 2 years. After being on sleeping pills for so long, I decided to try CBT and I will admit, I didn't think it would work on me since we all tend to think negatively from time to time. I chose Dr. Barth based on reviews and decided to make the 90 mile drive to Oakland. After my second visit, we continued to meet via FaceTime which was a PLUS! For me, my insomnia and depression improved after approximately 3-4 weeks after my initial session with Dr. Barth. Prior to meeting him, I had been weaning off Zolpidem for a week. I am now able to fall asleep fairly fast and stay asleep for most of the night, drug-free!!! In the past, I would try to wean off on my own, or not take my pills but I had no success. I would fall asleep around 0300AM and wake up before 0600AM. The first few weeks were tough since part of the "program" requires you to go to bed at a certain time (or try), and wake up at the same time every day. The $ I spent on my therapy is worth the results! I am now back to doing my daily activities and sleeping about 50% better. This is the first time I seek treatment with a Psychologist, but overall, my experience with him has been a positive one in many ways. My therapy is coming to an end soon, but I feel confident that I will continue to progress and apply what I have learned during this process. If you find yourself desperate, or to the point that you are ready to start therapy for depression, insomnia or other issues you may be facing, do it with someone who has years of experience. Before choosing Dr. Barth, I googled many therapists who specialized in CBT. I searched for 4 months. I live in Modesto which is a fairly large city, and many therapists are in my area, but based on reviews or first impressions I got visiting other websites/reviews I decided that if I was going to spend my time and money on therapy, I wanted to put my trust on the best one out there. Like most of us, I didn't have the extra money to be spending visiting therapists that I felt may not be the best fit for me. I mean no disrespect to any professionals in this area, but in the times we live now, most of our costly purchases or investments we make, are based on reputation or reviews.

Then his staff REFUSED to make just one quick phone call to Lincare to get the Rx filled. It took six phone calls on my part to eventually force the staff to do their job. My appointment was October 23rd and it was not until October 31st that the staff finally broke down and grudgingly agreed to do one four minute phone call to get the Durable Medical Equipment Rx filled. Dr. Eric Hassid's medical assistant Ladill is incompetent and lazy. She kept insisting I had to call Lincare to get the Rx filled and it was "not in her job description to do this". When I tried to explain to her that Durable Medical Equipment suppliers do NOT deal directly with patients she kept insisting "do it yourself". Basically, I was thrown under the bus. She has very poor communication skills and lacks "active listening skills". I spent one hour with Dr. Eric Hassid during my appointment. 50% of the session was regarding getting the CPAP machine for Chronic Sleep Apnea. The other 50% of the session was discussing 20 years of severe chronic pain I experience from when I was rear ended by a 10 ton UPS truck at 60 mph. Dr. Eric Hassid never bothered to even mention that Sutter Health has a chronic pain management support program and he did not bother to give me any semblance of a treatment plan for this medical condition. After my appointment ended, I picked up a brochure at the front desk which explained the variety of services this clinic offers. It was only by accident that I discovered Sutter Health DOES OFFER chronic pain management services. What Dr. Eric Hassid actually DID do was hand me a list of over $200 of vitamins/supplements he sells in the reception area of his office. Is he a vitamin/supplement pill salesman - or is he practicing medicine and providing patient care appropriate to his client's needs? His staff is incompetent, especially his medical assistant. Both Ladill and Sarah told me on the phone "it is not my job description to make one four minute phone call to get your Durable Medical Equipment prescription filled, do it yourself". This is in direct violation of the well established protocol for obtaining Durable Medical Equipment. Optigen, Apria, Lincare DO NOT EVER deal directly with patients - any more than a patient could walk into a pharmacy and ask for Rx medication without FIRST the doctor creating a prescription. I was "thrown under the bus" by this clinic. My primary care doctor at Dignity Health left his job a few months ago, and moved out of town. I was going to enroll with Sutter Health for a brand new primary care doctor but NO WAY would I do that, nor would I ever go back to this clinic for follow up care. It functions as a vitamin pill/supplement retail store NOT patient care. I was "thrown under the bus". Badly done! I was Dr. Eric Hassid's patient when he had his own clinic in Davis, back around 2006. It was not Sutter Health - and there was more cohesion in treatment plans and the staff was excellent at the old Davis clinic. I think Sutter Health is a "Hot Mess" with inept, substandard lack of rudimentary communication skills, poorly trained staff who lack a work ethic and do not want to lift a finger to help patients. None of the staff at this clinic during my first visit told me there was a Patient Portal online that I needed to register in. I only discovered this on my own efforts. Nobody gave me the It should NOT have taken SIX phone calls over the course over ten days to have a very simple task performed by the staff of this office.

So many Doctors now a days prescribe drugs that they do not have adequate knowledge of, Dr Hassid is more thoughtful re this than I have have found other Doctors to be.
