From the glass of wine I had after dinner, to missing the early morning Black Friday experience (this is the best part of Black Friday). So after calculating the time it requires to sober up, I was gonna head off to the emergency room at 10 PM. I showed up at Queen of the valley emergency room. It was surprisingly full for Thanksgiving evening. There must've been somewhere between 3 to 5 patients in the waiting room. Signing in at the registration desk was a piece of cake. They give you the usual bit of paperwork to fill out. And then it was just a matter of waiting it out. Given the time, it wasn't a surprise that many of the patients had much more urgent medical situations. I ended up waiting till close to midnight. Once it was my turn, things move briskly. They measured this and measured that and then put me in to the queue to see the doctor. I wish I could remember names, but I was darn sleepy. I would say the doctor showed an abundance of caution. They x-rayed the critical spot. They wish they could take an MRI but that equipment was too bulky for the emergency room. They concluded my injury needed to see an in office doctor ASAP. Since it was Thanksgiving evening, parking was a snap. It was relatively quiet. And since my injury was to my foot, the entrance was clearly very accessible. All in all, I got back home around 2 AM in the morning. If you want to get prompt service in the emergency room, honestly the best thing to do is to show up at 2 AM in the morning when everyone else has sensibly gone to bed. I would totally recommend using this emergency room, the wait time is certainly less horrendous than other urgent care/emergency rooms that I have been in, the staff and the doctors were meticulous. But keep in mind that I had a very different experience from your every day situation in the emergency room. Clearly many people had probably put off anything until after Thanksgiving. I also showed up rather late in the evening and that always helps.

We are here for Opthalmology today. The only negative is the drive and blather that echoes in the hallways. I'd hate to be in a theater with these folks. Turn up your volume and listen in.

Dr. Zaritsky has been one of the most diligent, resourceful, and transparent clinicians I've encountered at Kaiser. From the moment of our original video appointment in Summer 2025 to the meticulous follow-up post-surgery, she left no page unturned. She made it a habit to have my charts as updated and clear as possible so that she could provide me with the most optimal care. Dr. Zaritsky was more than competent and established a clear effort to make me knowledgeable and at ease regarding the pending surgery, simultaneously. Brava, Dr. Z! Additionally, the team of Nurses, NPs, Anesthesiologist, and many others (Roger Lee, MD, Lanette Gresham, NP, Sandy Santos,RN, Elizabeth Souza, RN) mirrored her lead in care. Again, each interaction with staff was beyond my expectations and provided me with such comfort pre-surgery and post-surgery. The medical staff demonstrated a seamless orchestration of care through emotional support, preparation, and knowledge sharing required for me as a patient. They provided the necessary reassurance in the quality of care with precision and passion. In the interim, I have already recommended other friends and families to use Vallejo Kaiser for their future surgeries especially those involving Myomectomy and Cystectomy. Dr. Zaritsky and staff should be commended for their cohesiveness, quality of care, but most importantly, their passion to be on the frontline with patients with complex fertility-related surgeries. As a woman, aspiring to be a Mother, and overall need to be in my best health, I trusted in Dr. Zaritsky's skill and experience to fulfill the laparoscopic surgery and she delivered. So, my last charge is to empower more exceptional professionals (and retain them) like the staff mentioned here to continue the high quality and individualized, patient-centered care for the Vallejo and Bay Area community. Thank you Dr. Z and everyone else for making me feel like the most important person in the world on that day and I'm heading to Goofy's Kitchen soon with a full heart and deep gratitude. Bravas to the entire Team!

I Got screwed again. Big big surprise. Once again it was…read moretime for refills on my two blood pressure meds so I don't die. Not narcotics, not anything fun, not anything sellable on the street... just regular-ass blood pressure meds to keep my heart working. I called it in five days in advance of running out. 5 days. When calling it in I was given no push back or any notion that my meds would not be filled. Not a single hint. So after the five days when I'd run out of such meds I went to the pharmacy to pick up my refill. And turns out only one of the refills was sent. They had to give me loaner pills so I don't drop dead. What the hell is even going on with this office? Ever since they became Muir medical group I can't get my medicine refilled ever without some kind of giant hiccup! These aren't narcotics. These are blood pressure pills so I don't croak! This is so insane. The doctors here are very good. I love my doctor! But this office is so screwed up and unorganized, unethical, and doesn't care someone could just die without their meds.... I'm looking for a new dr now after several incidents regarding refilling my blood pressure meds. Enough is enough. Again these doctors rule! But the office has ruined their practice and made it completely terrible. I have family members that go here that have had the same bad experience with trying to get their meds. I have had multiple situations where I need blood pressure meds and they've been so nonchalant and just "they will get refilled when they get refilled" with zero worry about my physical safety. I'm done. Everyone in this office should be examined for termination. This place is a cesspool for garbage and unethical employees. Everything is about dollars and healthcare means nothing at all. If you work here You should all really reflect on the type of person you are and really analyze what you're okay with. Are you okay with a normal guy dying from cardiac arrest over a mistake you made involving med refills? You are all just cool with a dude dying of a heart attack. This office is the worst thing of the worst. I urge you not to go here. Again, the doctors here rule!!!! But the office is run by nimrods.

My sister's Primary Dr. is at John Muir Medical Center, yet my Sister is stilling being prescribed medication that was in use 10-20 years ago and not even the Recommended dose! If that doesn't work the Dr. said she might try the new medicines available! My sister will only be in the window of treatable help for a limited time... I surely do not understand why my Sister's Dr. hasn't explained to my Sister and her Husband that my sister might respond if she was referred to a more studied and progressive Neurologist while she is still in a treatable stage!?!
