A quick, reliable, consistent spot if a good variety of fresh/healthy food options that you can modify based on your preferences. There always seems to be a lunch rush but I usually get it via Ubereats delivery and it's usually prepared in a timely manner-- my only qualm is that they never provide utensils so that's just a bit inconvenient especially if I do not have any on hand. My go to is always the calif chicken salad, subbed with the green goddess dressing (delicious, creamy avocado, zesty and herbaceous dressing) with addition of the hot white meat rotisserie chicken. The pita croutons is exactly what I need for that added textural crunch and the rotisserie chicken always comes piping hot (cooked to perfection and is MOIST, which is usually a feat especially for white meat chicken that usually turns out overcooked/dry at other spots) even after delivery. Love this place-- it's my most often go to lunch spot when I'm near the area! read more

I have ALWAYS loved California Chicken Cafe when I lived in LA. Three years later, visiting for work, they are still amazing and consistent with their quality! I must always order here at least once when I'm back in LA for work. I always get the Chinese Chicken Salad and they really give you lots of veggies and meat. You don't really need two sauces as one is good enough. I can't really say too much about service since I only order delivery, BUT they have given me free chicken meat sometimes so that's cool! Ambiance - hard to say too as I only order delivery. They also zip tie your order so you know it is for sure safe hahaha. 5/5 if you're craving dope salad read more

Pros: love their salads. I order from them frequently. Cons: they cannot read words that are written directly in front of their faces because the number of times they've given me the wrong dressing is astounding. Y'all, the dressing is arguably the most important part of a salad, no? When I go to the trouble of paying an astronomical amount of money for a salad, waiting for it to be delivered, and then still literally have to DRIVE to a SEPARATE STORE to buy salad dressing because they didn't give me any or gave me some trash dressing I didn't want? BEYOND. Friends at California Chicken Cafe, that literally defeats the purpose of your existence. If you can read this review, you can read the dressing that I selected. Do better, for the love of god. I want to like you so much. read more

Always fast and friendly service! Quality is always there, love there wraps. The chicken is super juicy too, good soups and the mash potatoes and gravy was delightful. Cookies are super yummy aswell. I alway place my order online and pull up. read more

We ordered the green goddess salad to go with a side of rotisserie chicken. It was pretty good! We enjoyed the freshness of the salad. The green salad dressing was good but I might have had better at trader joe's. I'd have to do a side by side to see if my memory serves me correctly. The chicken though was amazing. So juicy and so fresh. There's a yucky taste when restaurants uses day old chicken (or even older). The chicken here rest assured is as fresh as can be. I will be back for more! read more

Although the "Covid" years are over they are steal doing curve-side service. I personally do not mind. They make it easier to order, the. We wait for our food in the car and then they bring it to our car. The attendant is nice and makes it for a good ambiance. The wraps (Cesar chicken) were delicious. The rotisserie chicken was juicy and the classic Chinese cabbage salad was tasty as usual. We tried the pasta chicken salad for the first time. It was good. Not one of may favorite dishes there, but not bad. We also order the veggie soup for the first time and that was good as well. Same as before. I highly recommend this place. read more

Was my first time as my coworkers recommended it and had an amazing experience great customer service. Was given complimentary chicken which was amazing and tried their rice wrap with hot white chicken added to it as recommended by the girl outside Ana . Will definitely be going back !!! read more

The food here is always spot on. You have many choices: pits, wraps, salad or chicken pieces. The sides are excellent my favorite is the potatoes and the Chinese cabbage coleslaw. Prices are average from $12.00 - $15.00. Side orders are around $6.00 read more

I was in the mood for a salad so went to an old staple California Chicken cafe in Venice. It has been a while since I've been there so I didn't know what to expect. I mean how much can you mess up a salad! I ordered the California Chicken salad with no pasta or croutons. My dressing was the Balsamic Vinaigrette. The salad was very basic but really good. All the ingredients were very fresh. I'll definitely be back soon. read more

I recently placed a pickup order on Door Dash and opted to pick it up in person. The experience was incredibly convenient and streamlined. They even provided me with some complimentary chicken drumsticks, which were a nice surprise. My go-to salad is the California Chicken Salad, largely due to its inclusion of avocado - my favorite ingredient. The only downside to this location is the pickup since it's drive thru is kind of difficult. The line goes out into the street so you are blocking traffic but on the bright side, the line goes by fast. In total I got 4 salads and was able to surprise my whole family! read more

I'm a regular customer at Calif Chicken Cafe on Lincoln Boulevard in Venice. I went last Sunday to pick up my meal and when I got home to my surprise there was a extra small wrap with a sticker that said it's on us! I was so taken back, I thought what other company has this kind of loyalty to its customers. At this point I had to call. I ended up talking to Itzel. She remembered getting my order ready and putting the extra wrap in my order! She was so kind and professional on the phone! I told her that I was blown away by the service the awesome food and hospitality. I just wanted to say thank you and let her know how awesome California chicken café is! What other food company does that for its customers? I've never had that customer service before. She was awesome on the phone and very grateful I called. If you get a chance definitely go by Calif Chicken Cafe on Lincoln Boulevard and get some awesome chicken and the sides are unbelievable as well. I love the broccoli pasta, mashed potatoes and gravy in the vegetable soup. Itzel, California chicken Café is lucky to have you as an employee keep up your great work and your attitude! You are awesome! After making this post I think I'm gonna have to drop by today and get lunch! Keep up the great work everybody! You all are awesome! read more

We love CCC but Lincoln location do have issue time to time from online ordering... one time, no Rotisserie chicken available to order?! Now they removed dark meat... very disappointed read more

I usually stop by the Santa Monica store when I'm in the area and the chicken, salads and wraps are fabulous. This time I got delivery that came from the Venice store and it was terrible. Instead of the delicious sliced chicken on the chicken caesar salad, there was a mound of gooshed up shredded chicken plopped on top. The lettuce didnt seem fresh and there was a hard end chunk of lettuce that was too hard to eat. The avocado was brown and the parmesan tasted stale. Ick. Took a few bites and threw it away. Luckily the veggie soup was good. read more

Correcting my previous review - have kept ordering from this place and every time, it is delicious. The dressing, the wrap, the prep - it's so, so good. Now they order more sides including additional toppings which is THE BEST. Best. Delivery. Ever. read more

Tried to order online again tonight. I wasn't thrilled after my last unsatisfactory and frustrating experience, but my partner insisted on CCC tonight. Once again, ordering online, as we walked to our car, was impossible. I entered my credit card info (what happened to my cc info from previous orders?) and the Olo payment system would cycle back to "enter cc info" THREE TIMES. My partner then tried to order with the same result. We gave up on this POS payment system at California Chicken Cafe and went back upstairs and I cooked a tasty dinner myself. read more

A few things. This place used to be legit when the prices were reasonable and you could get lunch inside. But they want woke. So now. No cash. No dine in. Prices extremely expensive for a salad. Menu in 2021 for a chicken salad was 10.00. Now after they again raised prices last week another .50 cents the cost of a salad before tax is 15.25. They also used to leave the salad dressing outside of the package but now they put it inside taking up salad space. Quite the disappointment from a long time customer. read more

I love this spot! It's always so fresh and they never disappoint. It's a quick spot and nothing fancy! My husband thinks it's bland but I love the freshness and the sauces are all great! Their Italian and ranch sauces are perfection. I find it satisfying and love it for an easy, quick, & healthy lunch!!!! The salads are large and a good deal. The people who work here are also very nice and helpful. read more

one of my most frequented spots in 2021. CCC helped me in an abundance of ways. let me count them: 1. convenient online ordering system 2. prompt and timely delivery of orders 3. short wait times, whether online or in person 4. great curbside/distanced pick up set up 5. healthy eats, keeping me well during busy times and as a busy FT working mom 6. no dishes!! 7. scrumptious chicken .. i embraced my love (which i didn't pre-pandemic possess) for chicken. [juicy FTW] 8. Chinese chicken salad that helped me teach my son to eat [and ENJOY!!] salad!! 9. pleasant staff that are efficient and rockstars at their job 10. reasonably priced meals that give me a rest from the kitchen 11. yummy sides - the potatoes, cabbage salad, broccoli pasta, chicken pasta 12. salsa roja (red) FTW .. i always ask x3 or x4 13. lightly sweetened or NOT sweetened iced teas!! they're so refreshing! the list goes on .. as does my love for CCC thank you C3 for helping make my 2021 a GOOD year!! read more

Food is fresh. Done correctly. The new spoke out front are always on the look out for my car and bring the order out as soon as they can.

Food is good and basic but I ordered for a drive up pick up... and the line was wrapped around the block. No one came out to address the customers. I waited in the line for over 35 mins for an order that was ready 45 before. Someone came out to ask my order and never came back out. Had to literally put my car in park in the pick up lane and walk up ask for my order. Food is not worth the hassle and lack of customer service attention. read more

This place is takeout only but is awesome. It is reasonable priced, good quality, the employees are friendly, and they NEVER mess up orders. Their rotisserie chicken is among the best in LA and their chinese cabbage salad and potatoes are also delicious. In a time when so many restaurants keep jacking up their prices again and again, it is refreshing to see a place serving high quality food that is reasonably priced. read more

Wanted a healthier alternative to eating out, so we naturally gravitated towards CCC! We ordered takeout at the cafe, but there's an option to order online, as well. After ordering, we waited about 15-20 minutes for the food to be prepared. We got the whole roasted chicken, roasted potatoes, and BBQ chicken salad. It was a nice well-balanced meal. The chicken was tender and moist, as they should be, ha! It was great! The BBQ salad was probably one of the best I've had. All the fixins were assembled with the right amount of each ingredients. The roasted potatoes were mild in flavor, but not too bad. All in all, this is a solid option for those seeking refuge from heavier takeout options in the area. read more
