There always seems to be a lunch rush but I usually get it via Ubereats delivery and it's usually prepared in a timely manner-- my only qualm is that they never provide utensils so that's just a bit inconvenient especially if I do not have any on hand. My go to is always the calif chicken salad, subbed with the green goddess dressing (delicious, creamy avocado, zesty and herbaceous dressing) with addition of the hot white meat rotisserie chicken. The pita croutons is exactly what I need for that added textural crunch and the rotisserie chicken always comes piping hot (cooked to perfection and is MOIST, which is usually a feat especially for white meat chicken that usually turns out overcooked/dry at other spots) even after delivery. I have ALWAYS loved California Chicken Cafe when I lived in LA. Three years later, visiting for work, they are still amazing and consistent with their quality! I must always order here at least once when I'm back in LA for work. I always get the Chinese Chicken Salad and they really give you lots of veggies and meat. You don't really need two sauces as one is good enough. I can't really say too much about service since I only order delivery, BUT they have given me free chicken meat sometimes so that's cool! The green salad dressing was good but I might have had better at trader joe's. I'd have to do a side by side to see if my memory serves me correctly. The chicken though was amazing. We wait for our food in the car and then they bring it to our car. The attendant is nice and makes it for a good ambiance. The wraps (Cesar chicken) were delicious. I recently placed a pickup order on Door Dash and opted to pick it up in person. The experience was incredibly convenient and streamlined. They even provided me with some complimentary chicken drumsticks, which were a nice surprise. My go-to salad is the California Chicken Salad, largely due to its inclusion of avocado - my favorite ingredient. The only downside to this location is the pickup since it's drive thru is kind of difficult. The line goes out into the street so you are blocking traffic but on the bright side, the line goes by fast. In total I got 4 salads and was able to surprise my whole family! read more

I'm a regular customer at Calif Chicken Cafe on Lincoln Boulevard in Venice. I went last Sunday to pick up my meal and when I got home to my surprise there was a extra small wrap with a sticker that said it's on us! I was so taken back, I thought what other company has this kind of loyalty to its customers. At this point I had to call. I ended up talking to Itzel. She remembered getting my order ready and putting the extra wrap in my order! She was so kind and professional on the phone! I told her that I was blown away by the service the awesome food and hospitality. I just wanted to say thank you and let her know how awesome California chicken café is! What other food company does that for its customers? I've never had that customer service before. She was awesome on the phone and very grateful I called. If you get a chance definitely go by Calif Chicken Cafe on Lincoln Boulevard and get some awesome chicken and the sides are unbelievable as well. I usually stop by the Santa Monica store when I'm in the area and the chicken, salads and wraps are fabulous. This time I got delivery that came from the Venice store and it was terrible. Instead of the delicious sliced chicken on the chicken caesar salad, there was a mound of gooshed up shredded chicken plopped on top. The lettuce didnt seem fresh and there was a hard end chunk of lettuce that was too hard to eat. The avocado was brown and the parmesan tasted stale. Ick. Took a few bites and threw it away. A few things. This place used to be legit when the prices were reasonable and you could get lunch inside. But they want woke. So now. No cash. No dine in. Prices extremely expensive for a salad. Menu in 2021 for a chicken salad was 10.00. Now after they again raised prices last week another .50 cents the cost of a salad before tax is 15.25. They also used to leave the salad dressing outside of the package but now they put it inside taking up salad space. Quite the disappointment from a long time customer. read more

Wanted a healthier alternative to eating out, so we naturally gravitated towards CCC! We ordered takeout at the cafe, but there's an option to order online, as well. After ordering, we waited about 15-20 minutes for the food to be prepared. We got the whole roasted chicken, roasted potatoes, and BBQ chicken salad. It was a nice well-balanced meal. The chicken was tender and moist, as they should be, ha! It was great! The BBQ salad was probably one of the best I've had. All the fixins were assembled with the right amount of each ingredients.
