Normally I'd be a little skeptical, but WOW... I never once found myself wishing there was meat on my plate. I ordered the Spicy Italian pizza, the oyster mushroom "calamari," and a glass of wine, and every single bite was delicious. That pizza though... It was hands-down the star of the meal. Crispy crust, packed with flavor, and honestly one of those pizzas I'd happily drive back to Venice just to eat again. The oyster mushroom "calamari" was also surprisingly convincing. Crispy, flavorful, and a really fun twist on a classic appetizer. And here's the real review: I took the leftover pizza home for my parents, and we all know leftover pizza can be hit or miss. Somehow this one was STILL amazing straight from the fridge. That alone deserves bonus points. From the beginning, the service felt unfriendly. I tried showing my server what I had ordered previously because I wanted to recreate the experience I had before, but I didn't feel like she was very receptive or interested in looking at it. When my food arrived, the avocado toast was completely different from what I had originally ordered. When I explained that it wasn't what I had received before, it became clear there may have been a misunderstanding in how the order was entered, but the interaction made me feel uncomfortable, as though I was being treated like I had caused the issue. I wasn't looking to complain -- I was genuinely trying to clarify what I wanted. On top of that, service was very slow and my order wasn't taken until about 20 minutes after I was seated. My matcha latte was also disappointing compared to my first experience. I made a special trip because I had been so impressed the first time, which made this experience especially upsetting. I understand that mistakes happen, but I hope there can be more attention to customer service and communication in the future because I left feeling unwelcome and sad rather than excited to return.
