My friend and I have had a couple of meals now at Talo Organic after some beach time over the weekend. I liked it enough to come back pretty soon, so that's saying something. You can find them in the Colony Kitchen in Venice, then order from the kiosk. Covered outdoor seats are available for dining in or you can take your eats to go. I've had minimal interactions with staff here as it's a grab & go type of place, but on my first visit, someone did ask how everything was! You don't often see that at ghost kitchens. Now, Talo Organic does a lot of great things like being seed oil free, grass-fed pasture raised beef only, no preservatives they pay attention to their cooking utensils and pans making sure to use stainless steel cookware. But one thing that has plagued our meats both time we've been here? Dryness! If meat is your main thing and the flavor is great, why not have it nice and juicy to boot!? Sigh! I still like it, but usually moreso when it's in my leftovers at home and I can properly cook it. When honestly, it should be best right there in person. Now that being said, I still like Talo Organic and have enjoyed everything I've tried protein wise - Barbacoa, Chicken and Steak - were all delicious. Just needed the dryness eradicated in each. Their beef tallow fries were also really tasty! Plus they give you helpful reheating options. Overall, I love having a healthy option like this and like the flavor, but let me know when you all fix up the dryness a bit for me & my friends to come back!

First of all I wanted to say I love what you are doing Talo for creating a space supporting a healthy diet and taking every step at your restaurant to provide the healthiest food possible. From pasture raised, no seed oils, no plastic or non stick pans! I also love that you partnered with Santa Cruz and other healthy influencers to promote a healthy lifestyle and especially the younger generation. I'd say my diet falls in line with this movement so when I heard of Talo, I was so happy to try it out. Drove out 45 mins to try it and parked easily! I already knew what I was going to get, I got the Santorini bowl. It had great flavor and tasted so clean. My critique on the bowl was the portion size wasn't the best personally for the price. I know more healthy foods are more pricey but at a minimum probably more rice added would be ideal and I think that can set you apart even more. The chips were also great too! Last thing was that they ran out of fries and said there was a shortage in California? Ayo I don't think there was a shortage lol, looked it up and even went to other restaurants with fry/potato items. Super disappointed with this because it's one of the items I know everyone be getting. I don't mean to be harsh but legitimately I wanted to mob out for this food but it didn't meet a 5 star expectation. Keep doing your thing though!

Omg!! I am a health nut and I'm so grateful to have this place near me. Me and my best friend just tried and it, she got the steak bowl and I got the barbacoa bowl ! They were both really good. It's quality food organic and seed oil free!!! So important and rare to find. I would recommend. It's a bit on the pricier side and maybe a bit smaller portions but it is quality.

I ordered two Cabo Bowls with chicken and was really disappointed. The chicken was completely burnt -- more than half of it was blackened to the point of being inedible. Over 50% of the chicken had to be picked out and thrown away, which made the bowls feel like a total waste. For the price, I expected a fresh and well-prepared meal, but instead I got food that looked and tasted like it had been left on the grill way too long. The toppings and sides were fine, but the chicken is supposed to be the main part of the bowl, and it was ruined.

    Side Organic Tallow French Fries

The taste is sadly marred by the size :( If this is what they consider a "side" of fries, they should hire an ex McDonalds employee to consult on a menu revamp. This is smaller than a happy meal-sized portion- and for $7.14 these should be, at least, covered in caviar or truffles. They aren't as good the fries at Hiho Cheeseburger which cost $5.25 and are at minimum, 3 times the size. I Love that this place is seed oil free... but at this price, it's absolutely nuts to rebuy again. I would rather pay $20 and get a decent sized order or a "side" that costs $2. Very underwhelming and disappointing!

I'm gonna give 3 stars for effort. it was pretty bland without the sauces (although i did order to go and my drive was 10 min so i may give one more chance and eat there. The fries cost 8 dollars and I got a total of 12 fries. Correct my quick math if im wrong but that's about 65 cents per fry? Can't support that unfortunately so i may not get to try these again. But at least it wasn't fried in conola oil or something. Overall I'd say it's fine? and i love the no seed oil thing and organic etc but honestly if I didn't get the uber eats bogo deal on the bowl i may feel differently. Like I said I may give it another shot but that's my thoughts for now

Awesome food! Got the taco sampler and talllow fries. The portions were actually huge. Some people have complained about that and other reviews but you can see it looks like they have their fries portions figured out. Definitely recommend!

50 dollars later this place made me just want to eat seed oils when I'm out. Service was great and the ambiance of sitting outside on the street corner was great.

I ordered the huevos rancheros and they asked me if sunny side up eggs were ok and I requested over easy if possible. They served sunny side up eggs to me (not a big problem, but why even ask?) I also don't like that they serve hot lattes in those plastic water cups (first of all, that looks cheap like did you run out of mugs? Second of all that means these cups are too hot to hold for a couple minutes!) When I visited the WeHo location, I remember liking my latte (that was served in a mug), so I was pretty disappointed. Also just anything hot in a plastic container makes me feel weird consuming. Also justice for those sitting on those tiny stools, because not only are they tiny, but you're in the busy aisle so people are always bumping in to you! Wish I had a chair with a back. One good thing was that this place doesn't rush you when you're seated and finished eating, which I really appreciate! They let us sit and yap for awhile when lots of other places try to get more tables open. Overall, it's a cute place, but I'm never excited to go when this restaurant is chosen lol.

The vibe is casual and beach chic. All of the food is delicious and this is one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The restaurant has very few parking spaces on site. The only downside is that the paid parking is ridiculously expensive. Anywhere from $10 to 15 minutes to an hour, $20 for two hours and the price goes up and up. There is one hour metered parking nearby which isn't very convenient if you have to keep going back to refill the meter. If you're lucky you might find distant street parking that is unpaid. This is nothing against the restaurant, but as Venice as a city in general. High prices like these without any special validation, are sure to keep people from coming to these places at all if you can't afford it. Perhaps that's how Venice would like to keep it. The bean burger is hands down the best I've ever had; I honestly came back just for that. I also tried the tofu bowl, which was beautifully smoked and absolutely delicious. For dessert, I highly recommend the warm cookie dough with ice cream--it was incredible. You can tell management really pays attention to the details, and it shows in the overall experience. Will definitely be back again soon!

Ospi Venice does a great job and I'm glad to have tried them at last. I had enjoyed restaurant…read moreJemma di Mare in Brentwood and imagined their sister Ospi would also be a hit. Ospi is a bit more Americanized, and they do that very well. Spacious and gets crowded, so a reservation is a good idea. Fun cocktails and a variety of wines to choose from, if you're so inclined. The Chef's Negroni is a soothing, smoky and somewhat sweet cocktail that starts with cathedral mezcal. I loved it. We ordered a several dishes - and let's start by saying you must try the ricotta. 'Whipped cheese, sea salt' does not do it justice, but it's wonderful and perfect to share. The Beef Tartare is another winner, served with crispy potato and parm. It's pretty huge, and rich, and conveniently cut into pieces for easy sharing. The crunch potato chips on top are a nice finish. A creative take on a classic, purists might wonder what's going on, until they taste it. The Caesar is huge and great to share, too, as well as the Crispy Rhode Island Calamari. These are more in the department of comfortable staples, but are delicious crowdpleasers, nonetheless. Of the entrees we ordered, everyone seemed to like mine the most: Malloreddus (bbef cheek, ragu napoletano, thyme, toscano). It sounded a bit quirky, but inviting. The server gave it a bit thumbs up, so I'm glad to have ventured this way. Served over the small pasta pieces that you can watch being made closer to the front of the restaurant. The Lemon Tagliolini features lobster 'fry diavolo', basil and pistachio. Not too spicy, and the lobster and pasta were perfectly cooked. The cannelloni was perhaps the one entree that, while good, did not rise above 'just fine'. Perhaps the flavors were a bit toned down that night, or maybe overwhelmed by the gorgeous Sorrentina blanket of mozzarella, tomato sauce and basil. Dessert was good, and the DIY affogato was delicious. Noteworthy service, and a friendly sometimes boisterous energy in the restaurant help make for a fun dining experience.

Next was Copione pizza with a super thin crust and beautifully balanced sauce. Spicy Rigatoni was not spicy at all but delicious. I was a little disappointed by the Breakfast carbonara. Poached egg on top of the pasta is not the best choice. Overall our experience was great and we will definitely go back if we are in the area.
