When we started, we only knew what we didn't like about our current kitchen. Like any major…read moreproject, we started by reaching out to a couple of vendors to get quotes, that's where we met Alon, the project manager for Lumina Builders. What immediately stood out to us was that he had ideas and solutions to address our pain points and make enhancements, we wouldn't have ever considered, and didn't just wait for us to tell him how we wanted things. He created a vision for us in that first quote visit. The other contractor we spoke to didn't provide any ideas just asked us how we wanted it. It was a very easy decision to go with Alon and Lumina Builders. Our project was estimated to take 2-3 months and ultimately took two and a half months to complete. We designed a brand new kitchen, addressing all of our concerns and adding a few recommendations from Alon to streamline some areas. They ripped everything out aside from the flooring and walls. We got brand new custom cabinets, custom lighting, and new countertops. Our fridge was moved to a new, more accessible area. Our sink was shifted down to align with the stove for continuity sake (never realized how much I hated it being in a corner previously). We had a new little cabinet built in our little breakfast nook area and we had an appliance garage built to house everything that took up counter space. Everything is so much brighter and more open and, even though we know the demensions are roughly the same, it feels so much wider. We are ecstatic with how everything came out. Alon is a genius. He was responsive to us throughout the project, checking in weekly to see how things were going, giving us peace of mind throughout this process, as first time remodelers. We were indecisive about the primary cabinet color (I was very worried we'd be stuck with something we didn't really like) but he worked with the cabinet makes to give us several samples to choose from. He was very patient with us. We LOVE how everything turned out! We'll definitely be using Lumina Builders for all of our future projects.

We are so happy with how our backyard turned out! Need for Build completely transformed the space…read moreand it honestly feels like we have a whole new backyard. Before the renovation, we basically had a lot of dirt and a cooking island that took up way too much space. Now we have a pergola, artificial grass, a new retaining wall that was pushed back to give us more usable square footage, and our old cooking island was relocated and turned into an actual backyard grill area. We even have a dog run now, which our dogs absolutely love! Michael was our project manager and he was awesome throughout the entire process. He was super easy to communicate with and always gave us a heads up about what was happening next. He also helped me a lot with the layout and gave me different ideas and options at different price points, which really helped us figure out what we wanted while staying close to our budget. Something else I really appreciated was that Michael was upfront about possible hiccups that could come up during construction. Thankfully none of them actually happened , but I liked that he prepared us ahead of time instead of potentially surprising us later. The crew was also super nice, the craftsmanship came out great, and they finished everything on schedule! Probably the best part is how much we actually use our backyard now. We've already started having BBQs and hosting people, the dogs have their own area to run around, and the whole yard just feels so much bigger and more inviting. Their quote was completely itemized--which I appreciated--and ended up being well under every other retail bid I received. Two people really made the difference: Mary and Bolo. Mary is a literal pro when it comes to the insurance side of things. She worked tirelessly on the supplements to ensure we maximized our RCV payout from our insurance. She caught things the adjuster missed and helped us get the settlement we actually needed to do the job right. Bolo, the project manager, was extremely responsive and reasonable throughout the entire build. Whenever a technical issue came up--even complex stuff like electrical circuit stability or specific plumbing heights--he was there to talk it through and get it handled. One thing I will say for people considering them: you need to be the kind of homeowner who has the capacity to stay on top of the work. If you know exactly what you want and you're willing to stay involved in the day-to-day details, C2C is an incredible solution.
