This is a completely unethical company. Stay away! You have been warned. Triskell was hired by my land lord in La Mesa after water damage was found in my ceiling as I am a first floor tenant. The source of the leak was never truly determined and to bypass responsibility the land management team blamed the upstairs tenant. They subsequently called Triskell to assess and fix the situation. I had nothing to do with the source of the problem but it resulted in water leakage to my suite. The employees of Triskell strong-armed me into signing their legally drafted document. They told me that unless I signed their multi-page document in legal verbiage (which was not easy to understand) that day that they could not have access to my suite. The reps on site told me what came to something like, "don't worry about this, insurance will cover it". They pressured me to believe that without signing this or if I delayed to be able to look for a comparable company that any damage can and will get worse. I asked for a fee quote in case insurance refused coverage. The Triskell rep never provided one despite me asking twice for a quote. Foolishly, I signed their document after the scare tactics and that was a mistake. I found out from the upstairs tenant's insurance company that due to California law, I was unable to piggyback onto his claim. Triskell sent me a bill for over $2,000. This is exactly why I wanted a fee quote in the first place. Unless I was to open a claim of my own and be out my deductible and have this mark on my insurance record, I was then stuck with their $2,000 bill. They essentially had a free range to do what they wanted without any oversight or worry about the cost. I called the company afterwards, explaining the unfair practice and asking for at minimum a discount on the service provided for them to tell me...no! Ridiculous. Unethical business practices on their part. I really hope one day these people get what they are serving up. read more

We had the opportunity to work with Triskell Restorations over the last several months restoring an old home that had been neglected for years. They did an excellent job, at a very reasonable price and timeline! Our interactions with the owners, Rick and Michelle, the project manager, Ryan, the office staff, Rachel and Praise, and the whole project team have been nothing but excellent. From Rick's initial detailed and enlightening walk through, to the last finishing touches, the team was thorough, responsive, hardworking, and excellent in their workmanship, and even creative throughout our complex project. In addition to their skills in restoring water damage, they also repaired pipes, storm drains, woodwork and walls, our driveway and lots of extras along the way. They installed fixtures and restored effected wallpaper, paint, and stucco. They also oversaw a large landscaping project that involved repairing and installing an irrigation system, removing large trees that were threatening the roof and removing huge truckful's of overgrowth. They took care of anything we needed along the way and always left the site clean and appealing. Ryan was in constant contact with any updates and timelines. They went above and beyond to accommodate every aspect of restoring our home and property and would refer us to the best crew for any other related jobs. We are looking forward to hiring them again for our new home and ADU build project. At 5:30 AM on a Tuesday morning in early December 2013, I discovered a major plumbing leak happened over night. The first story ceiling was raining in my living room. I had never had to deal with anything remotely like this before. I immediately called my insurance carrier, who connected me with Triskell. Triskell arrived within 40 minutes. They were at my home, working, before 7:00 AM rolled around. By the end of the day, the bad areas of the house were demoed, and they had a complete drying a dehumidifying system in place. They cleaned up what could be cleaned, and disposed of items damaged beyond repair. They monitored the drying process every day and were able to start reconstruction by the end of the week. The affected areas of the house were not only fixed, but looked better than new by the time they were done. They did this quickly. Despite the holiday season, they were working every day. Communication was fantastic, timely, and friendly. Literally every encounter I had with their staff was positive. From the painters, carpenters, drywallers, estimators, to the office staff. I have never dealt with a company this professional and skilled before. I was astonished at every step. I would not hesitate to use them again. This review is for their customer service and initial consultation. I sent them a quote request through Yelp for fixing a ceiling with water damage and received a response within minutes on a Sunday evening! Michelle was very pleasant via message and informed me that her husband, Rick, would call the next day to set up an appointment. As promised, Rick called me the next day and he came to our house a few days later. He was very knowledgeable and spent time to explain how mold forms and his suggestions to fix our damaged ceiling. Unlike other companies who just wanted to charge us an arm and leg to get unnecessary repairs, Rick stated that the damage was minimal and most likely it would just require a stain guard and re-touch of paint. He could have exaggerated our damages to get us to use his company for repairs but instead he said our damage did not require his services. First water leak I've ever experienced. After leak detection and repair of leaking water line by plumber was left with moisture in drywall and need to "fix" bathroom. Some close friends recommended Triskell and I'm really glad they did. Denise was my first contact with Triskell and not only got the ball rolling but assisted me with my homeowner's claim. Crew was always masked and on time. Only real delays were me waiting for homeowner's insurance adjuster before scheduling the restoration part. Josue, Daniel, Glen did great work and Ryan kept the job on track for the duration of the work. A pleasure to work with the whole crew and I won't hesitate to use them in the future and recommend them to friends. 4/28 (Tuesday): First contacted Triskell to inquire and schedule an appointment for inspection. I did not know that I will be charged $185.36 for "Emergency service call-during business hours", just found out when I received the invoice. (Hidden fee) 4/29 (Wednesday): Appointment was at 3 pm, and they showed up on time. They did the inspection, had me signed some paper works, took pictures, etc. Staff was professional and friendly. The plumber fixed the shower in our bathroom upstairs which was causing the leak to our garage ceiling. It was an easy/quick job. They charge per hour and not per the amount of work, so I paid $115 for an "hour" of work (since the insurance company doesn't cover plumbing services). They also removed part of the baseboard in our bathroom and the small area of wet drywall in our garage before they set-up the dehumidifiers/fans which they said they would left for at least 2 days (Friday). 5/1 (Friday): Staff came over to pick-up the dehumidifiers/fans used in the garage but left those in the bathroom as the floor was not thoroughly dried. He said, "he will come back on Monday to pick them-up". Though we were instructed by the plumber that we could use the bathroom the next day after he fixed the shower, we were still unable to do so because of the presence of the fans, for safety reasons. 5/4 (Monday): Staff came back to pick-up the remaining dehumidifiers/fans. Walls and baseboards remain open/undone. So, what is next? No single communication from the company from 5/5 to 5/11. 5/12 (Tuesday): I called their office and spoke to Denise, I asked for an update. She said, "she will forward the paperworks to Alyssa (estimator)", and will call me in the morning for the work update. 5/13 (Wednesday): Denise called me at 10 am to say that she hasn't heard from Alyssa. She said, "she will call me again in the afternoon to update me." Never called me. 5/14 (Thursday): Finally received an e-mail from Alyssa. She sent the "Work Auth Form" that I would need to sign before they could start any work, and the estimated price with the breakdown. I called Alyssa to clarify the process, Alyssa said, "I have to sign the Work-Auth Form and send back to her, once she received the signed form she will then notify Denise, then Denise will call me to collect the down payment, then they will start the work. On the very same day, I signed the form and e-mailed it back to Alyssa. 5/18 (Monday): STILL NO CALL, NO SHOW...It's been 20 days since they started this "very small project". The wall in the garage is still open, and the baseboard in the bathroom is still not being replaced. I truly regret going to this company where the SERVICE IS VERY POOR. If you have any water restoration problem or in need of any services that this company offers, please consider contacting other companies that are RELIABLE, DEDICATED AND WITH GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Twice has Triskell Restorations saved my home from excessive damage. Most recently, in 2020, a slow leak started dripping from my bedroom ceiling at 4am. 3 or 4 years earlier Triskell's team had dealt with another leak in the shower wall, and were so competent and reliable at that time, that I immediately called them again. So, at 4am I have Rick, the owner, on the phone and he immediately dispatches a team. The team arrives promptly and they located a pinhole leak in a copper pipe in the attic and have it patched/fixed within 30-45 minutes. Then came the phase of cleanup of saturated insulation and drywall, followed by dry out (with fans). The team member, Will, performed this with expedience and skill, setting up a containment barrier, and hauling out the damaged material. A few days later, Josue, inserted new drywall, and textured and painted the entire area to a seamless finish. All of this was managed in a very tight and organized way, with excellent communication between the staff and myself. Everyone I interacted with at Triskell was very professional, courteous, respectful, and personable. The team was absolutely determined to produce results to high standards and to my satisfaction, which they did. I was particularly appreciative of how prompt they were at every appointment, and how they communicated about the status of things throughout the whole project. Denise, whom I spoke to many times, was especially helpful in coordinating with me. As with the first instance of water leakage at my house, here the final results were flawless. Triskell takes pride in their work, and prioritizes their client's time and circumstances through regular communication, and accommodating scheduling limitations and other specific needs. I will absolutely call upon Triskell again, should the need arise, and have several home improvement projects that I want to run by them in the near future. This company was amazing right from the first phone call! We got their name (along with two others) from our insurance adjuster so I knew they were well respected in the industry. They were a local company and near by so they were my first call. After having our lower level flooded with s**t, I was pretty upset and my call was answered by Denise who immediately put me at ease and promised to send out help. Alyssa arrived and inspected to see what needed to be done, discovered items the adjuster had missed and then worked with the adjuster to see that they were covered. Ryan came out and set up his work crew and stayed on top of things the whole way through. He went above and beyond to find us matching flooring to replace what had been damaged. Each time a progress payment was due, he sat down with us and went over the detailed report to make sure we understood everything and agreed. Payment from us was never expected until we had received payment from the insurance company so we had no out of pocket expenses. The work crews they sent out were great guys! All hard working conscientious craftsmen who knew what they were doing and were not happy until it was perfect and we were happy. We felt very comfortable having them in our home and were so pleased with their work that when we needed a plumber for another project, we called Triskell back to see if we could hire their plumber. We had a horrible home disaster (sewer holding tank exploded all over the lower level of our home) but this company made it bearable. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

I smelled gas and was told by SDGE that I had a gas leak underground outside my home. I called Triskell on the recommendations of a work colleague. They sent Glenn out. He arrived exactly on time, masked and covid careful. He did a lot of testing and realized that the leak was from my Barbeque, not the underground gas lines. Since it was nothing he could fix, he and his office decided not to charge me a penny.. not even a service charge even though he had spent more than 30 minutes (not including the drive down). Very thoughtful of them and extremely good work ethic. I will definitely get in touch with them if I have real restoration or contractor work to do. read more

Asked them to come out to estimate water damage repair from slow leaking dishwasher. Inspector didn't even know to life up the taped down cardboard hiding the mold and instead said, "I don't see any mold. Shouldn't be too hard." This after 911 Restoration and Servpro already gave me bids. Told guy I needed a quote ASAP as we are starting in 24 hours. Never got a quote. Must have been too small of a job, or too small of an estimator. Didn't see mold until I lifted up the cardboard. I guess maybe he was too embarrassed. Triskell - this was a Mira Mesa estimate last week, 12/8/2016, in case you want to PIP this guy - he really seemed totally unmotivated, and really put me off. I've used Triskell Restorations twice, both times for water damage in my house. The first time, AAA sent them. The second time I requested them. Their level of competence and professionalism was astounding. From the woman on the phone who took my initial information, to every single worker who came through my house, every one of them was knowledgeable, well trained, and friendly. We had a pretty major flood, so there was a lot of work that needed to be done. Triskell handled the entire process, from dry-out, to move-out, to repairs, painting, and move-in. We discovered a leak under the slab of our house. We filed a claim with AAA which they handled very well. AAA contracted with Triskell Restoration to solve the leak problem and repair and restore our house. Triskell's service was excellent. The work performed exceeded our highest expectations, and our house was restored back to "like new" condition.
