Caliber did a great job on our collision repair! Our sedan was rear-ended, and our insurance agent sent us to Caliber. Damage was "medium", with many broken components and severe damage on the bumper, rear hatch door and quarter panel. They fixed it up absolutely beautifully - no one would even be aware that there was any damage. Taylor was our company contact for the repair. And although The tire they replaced turned out to be the wrong size, within 5 minutes of calling them they had arranged a new tire for me at Les Schwab. George is great-couldn't be happier with the work they did on my vehicle and how they kept me up to date throughout the process. Update: Les Schwab refused to replace my tire, so caliber arranged for some of their guys to come pick my car up from work and they replaced the tire for me, then brought my car back to me. I brought my brand new car to Caliber after I got rear ended just 2 days after I bought her. Stuff happens, but I had the hardest time figuring out who was the best auto body repair center in Reno. After much research, reviews & family recommendations, I brought my girl to Caliber. I am so not disappointed! Stacy was professional and informative throughout the process (as well as all of the team at Caliber) of repairing my car. I never had to call them to find out what was going on with my car and any questions I had where answered .... instead of the "I don't know, I'll get back to you" kind of crap. What was really awesome other than having my car repaired to like brand new, was that they did it quickly and on time as they promised. She looks just like the day I drove her off the lot! Oh, and if you have a rental car (depending on the company) you can just leave your rental car there and then they have it returned!! No hassles, I loved it. I was in an accident and when it came time in picking an auto-body shop from a list my insurance company gave me, I chose Caliber Collision in Reno based off of their reviews. I will say I am VERY picky and I wanted quality work done. I know I was not their only customer but they treated me as if I was. My vehicle did take some time but it was done right (not their fault). My vehicle was a headache and trying to get parts that were discontinued was a pain. They busted their butts in getting my vehicle done even when the shop was getting remodeled and low staffed. Everyone from the office staff to the guys in the shop showed me nothing but respect and great customer service ! I truly recommend them to anyone needing work done to their vehicle(s). read more

I was rear ended on Pyramid just after Thanksgiving. I took my Jeep to Caliber where my entire back end was replaced. I was assured they checked the muffler and exhaust system. Less than 24 hours later my check engine light came on from my exhaust so I returned to Caliber. They told me it had nothing to do with the accident so I took it to a muffler shop. There they actually looked at the exhaust and found not only was there a crack in my exhaust manifold but Caliber had leaned my muffler on my plastic bumper! I was breathing carbon monoxide and my bumper was melting! I will never recommend Caliber for any type of repair. read more

. I will confess I'm not the world's greatest driver. So when I got into an accident that wasn't my fault, I was relieved that the other parties insurance was going to take care of the damage. I was on the phone talking with the insurance agent and they were giving me names of their preferred providers. I immediately went to yelp and looked at the reviews of the names they gave me. Caliber Collision was the name of the game! There are two locations; I chose the one on 935 Harvard Way. Wow they are amazing! They helped me with my rental, when Hertz was out of cars, they call the insurance company requesting that it be changed to enterprise, and I was taken care of. Caliber gave me an estimate of when my car would be done and sent me text message on the progress. I also had some blemishes in the paint that was not covered by the insurance, I asked if they would buff them out for me and I would cover the cost. They did it for free!!! My car came home looking brand new again. They also detailed the inside of car...it was scary I have 3 kids. Calibers customer service and professionalism is top notch. I was told about Caliber Collision by an acquaintance and am so happy I took my van to them. They were friendly and courteous. I could not leave it at the time of my estimate so made an appointment for a later date. I only had to wait 1 1/2 days for the damage to my hood to be repaired. If you need to get your car fixed, this IS the place to go! I normally get all my maintenance done a GMC Buick Cadillac of Reno, which is right in front of Caliber! Although they are great with my maintenance; they let my car sit for a week. Then My adjuster had it sent over to Caliber and they finished everything in three days!!! They have nothing but lie to me. I took my car into Caliber on Jan 11 after an accident. I received an email from Lindsay a day or so later wit the cost to repair an day my car would be ready. Here we are in Feb and still my car is not ready. Every time I have talked to them I am told a different story starting with couldn't get over the pass...Ok I will give them that one, but the roads have been clear now and the excuses keep coming like that part is on back order, we forgot to order the clip, we are waiting for a hose, the company didn't sent the bracket needed but my favorite was when they told me the computer had a clitch and lost the order. It's been one thing or another with them. Then I am told by Tim he would cover my rental from Jan 30 until I get my car well because I am only paying a partial ($10.00 a day) for the rental he says he wont pay now. If my insurance had not told me to go there I would not. Tim and Lindsay are nothing but liars and don't care about the customer. Lindsay even said she would call me on day with an up date and guess what....no call, go figure. read more

My new Corvette was damaged at a local dealership while being worked on under warranty. Caliber was the repair shop designated for repair. Damage was originally minor and straight forward. I was told they would remove the front bumper and repair, repaint, and re clear bra it after replacing it on the car. What I got was a amateurish attempt to "Blend" the painted spot without removing the bumper which turned out to be the wrong color, and you could see through the paint to the dark plastic color underneath. Caliber then for no reason I could discern removed the clear bra on the right front fender and replaced it in such a manner that it had bubbles of air under the surface the size of quarters all over the fender.Caliber then delivered the car back to the dealership without washing it after having it sit outside for 2 weeks in our stormy weather and collecting residue inside the very dirty shop. I asked the dealership why the car had not been cleaned and was told that Caliber had told them that they could not wash it for 3 weeks until the paint had dried. I know from personal experience that this statement was pure drivel. I never received any communication from Caliber explaining this totally unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. Car went to Jafbros body where it was returned to it's original pristine condition. I highly recommend taking your car to Jafbros in the first place and save the stress of a really bad job at Caliber. read more

I took my car in for a front end collision, and was given a quote of approx $2300 and and estimate of 10 days to complete the work. 8 1/2 weeks, and $8000 later, I got my car.. Communication was terrible, promises of "just another week" were given numerous times. Misleading text messages sent every other day that work was nearing completion. I finally contacted the cooperate headquarters after 5 weeks. They were very quick to get back to me. They explained to me that my car was only being worked on for 2 hours a day and that was why it was taking so long. I was shocked at this practice. The did get me a rental car for my inconvenience. The one star in this review is for them, not for the local franchise in Reno. George tried to clean things up, but ultimately he is in charge of this shop and how it runs. I sold my car to a dealer (fully disclosed the accident and repair) 3 days after getting it back. I had no confidence that the repairs were done correctly after being told that they weren't really equipped to do this kind of repair. this business had given me a repair estimate..i get my estimate from geiko and go to them calber to have car repaired..guy name john gomez says he will order parts and notify me when in..3 weeks later i call to find out how long it takes to receive ordered parts...the manager tells me it was a mistake and he would personally order parts and notify me next day for update..3 weeks later have heard nothing..called again yesterday and cannot get a person on phone..eventually i do and he says have 20 cars plus now and pretty much do not need my business..this type of customer service is unacceptable..and there treatment of a potential customer just blows my mind..really you cannot order the parts to repair my vehicle and fix it..you just do not care..i hope anyone wanting to use this place of business try someone else who wants your business and treats u as such..like ordering your parts and repairing your vehicle..i wish i could do more to announce how bad this business really is.. read more
