I received my car back on 12/30. And to say I am not very happy/satisfied with Caliber Collision Caliber Collision on New Bern Ave is an understatement... Picked my car up on Saturday and I noticed a smell. On Sunday I attempted to clean my car out thinking I may have left something that soured or spoiled in it after the accident. That is when I noticed that my back seat and floor was soaking wet. I immediately notified Caliber thinking they left a window open when we had that huge rain storm. To which I'm told no they didn't but maybe a seal. Bring it back we will look. I bought it in today, it's still wet, it hasn't rained since I got the car back and they are saying they seals are fine. So my car is still wet and mildew smelly. There was no attempt to make it right and at the end of the day, they had the vehicle it happened while in their possession, but I am now having to take it to get detailed/cleaned which is an expense to me. In fact, having an insurance company that has allowed me as many as 20 certified and quality body repair shops; given my original experience and subsequent experiences with Caliber Collision, I've saved myself some time by simply relying on Caliber Collision to adhere to my car repair needs. Over the past decade, I've had a need for several vehicle repairs to include vans and high-end sports cars. On each occasion, Caliber was returned to me in SHOWROOM almost new car condition. I would highly recommend Caliber Collision to anyone under any circumstances. From their very professional staff who keep you updated concerning the status of your vehicle to arranging for a rental/lease vehicle where applicable. I had an incredible experience here! Brett was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Additionally, he was able to squeeze me in for a same day service last minute. Having an accident is never fun, but Brett and the other staff made it a lot smoother than normal. The service at this location was wonderful! During this pandemic I was a little worried about taking my car to get fixed, but they made the process extremely easy, professional and convenient! The reason I am writing this review is mainly because of their fantastic customer service. I had to reschedule my appointment a few times and Jessica at the front desk so pleasant and friendly! Also, Brett my Service Advisor was fantastic. He was very personable and kept me up to date with every step on the process of my car getting fixed. I rarely write reviews, but Caliber Collision at New Bern Ave deserves a 5 star rating! We need more customer service reps like these guys in the world! read more

The service here was great! I was able to get my car fixed through the insurance quickly. Everyone who helped me was friendly and I never had to wait around. Plus they had free popcorn, which my kids loved. My only complaint is that the parking lot was full when I arrived but that wasn't a problem because I was able to leave my car right in front of the building read more

I was very impressed with the customer service at this location. I was greeted as soon as I pulled in the parking lot by a very nice young man who went over my vehicle with me and listened to my concerns. My daughter was in the vehicle with me when we were hit so you can imagine how nervous I was. Brett Batchelor, was very understanding and help me with a rental and everything. He kept in-touch with me through out the repair and my car looked like new when I got it back. I cannot thank you enough for helping me through this and being so patient with me!! I would give zero stars if I could. I brought my car in for my Monday appointment and was told that my car would be done on Friday. On Friday I got a text message saying that my car repairs were taking longer and it would be ready on Monday. On Monday I received a call that there was a part they were waiting on that was going to be there the next day and I would get my car back on Tuesday. Every day after I received another text saying my was not ready and it would be the next day and the next day...On Monday (two weeks after my car was brought in I received a text at 4:18 pm saying that my car would be ready between 5:15 and 5:30. And that they close at 5:30. So I have less than one hours notice that there is a fifteen minute window that I can pick up my car. I call and speak to Amber who tells me that they were in no rush to fix my car because I had a rental car paid for by my insurance. She also tells me that if I had paid my deductible up front that they would have preordered the parts. I was never offered this. I told her that was never offered and she said no we don't offer that people just know it. Who knows that? That is not common knowledge. I would have paid up front if it meant getting my car back in the five days I was promised rather than the 15 days that it took. NEVER AGAIN WILL I TAKE A CAR TO CALIBER COLLISION. read more

I've never had a more crooked experience with a professional service. Caliber Collision on New Bern Ave. was one of my insurance company's preferred providers and they are close to my home so we went with them. First red flag was when my wife dropped our vehicle off the rep told her that they would probably total it, even though it was just a side door and quarter panel that needed replacing and was only estimated at around 30% of the vehicle's total value. Caliber then proceeded to "find" triple the amount of costs in "necessary repairs" and when I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone to discuss it we went to the location in person to speak with them. We discovered they had damaged our vehicle even further and made it to where it was no longer drivable as it had been when we dropped it off. Then the man told us part of the extensive costs were to fix the damage they had caused and that even if we got the insurance company to pay for the repairs they would find more things wrong with it until it was a total loss no matter what. He then offered unprompted that we should not even think about getting a lawyer. So we were forced to lose our vehicle and take the total loss. Afterwards, my wife and I had to release it three different days because they kept "forgetting" to release it at our request so they could charge additional storage fees even though we each did it verbally and in-person and had already turned in the plate they gave us from the vehicle to the DMV. read more

Be careful taking your vehicle here. They might make your vehicle look good but what's the point of looking good if something in it doesn't function? I took my car there to have repairs done to the front end of my car after someone backed into me. My car hasn't been the same since. I at first had to find time in my day to take my car back to have a component reattached that was left off during the repair because, "most customers like the way it looks afterwards without it." I was not one of those customers. It would have been nice to be asked before telling me it's ready for pickup. Then comes the problem with my AC system. I had never had any issue whatsoever out of my AC. I had the condenser replaced during the repair and ever since I've been having an issue with my AC. I've been told it's my compressor by a different shop, which is an expensive and important part of your system. I tried to tell the insurance company and Caliber that this was a result of the repair or accident because I've never had the issue. But it fell on deaf ears. All they said was that I had to prove it was apart of the initial damage, which is hard to do as it is not directly in front of my car. Compressors can sustain damage if any debris gets through the lines and my condenser was pretty damaged so debris probably went up through the lines making its way to my compressor. Now I have to get that part replaced which is a nearly $1000 repair but fortunately for me, I have a VSC so I can get it fixed through that. I wish I never took my car here and I'm gonna make sure no one that I know comes here. If you care about your investment like I do, I would go elsewhere. read more
