As I was returning to my car, I could see it from a distance, someone had "keyed " scratch, the entire length of the driver's side of my vehicle. It was severe. Rule of thump: put water on a scratch on your auto finish, if the scratch disappears it can be buffed out. When I got home I ran the hose,wet the car, the scratch remained completely visible. As I'm new to Raleigh, and new to NC I didn't know who to call. I opened the Yelp app and contacted several repair shops based on reviews. They all responded promptly and gave a quote except one. The first one to respond didn't give me a quote, he set a time for the next day when he could come see it in person. The day Travis arrived a few minutes early and I was ready. He inspected the scratch and gave me a quote, best by several hundred $$ I was skeptical, I told Travis I was awaiting to hear from a couple more shops but I would let him know either way within a couple hours. I had a good feeling about Travis so even though his very much lower price gave me a "too good to be true" vibe, I needed my car fixed so I texted Travis. We set a time for two days later as I had to work around my schedule. Travis' two helpers arrived early, before Travis. They explained they would prep the car and could start immediately. I left them to get started as I had a project had had to attend. When I looked outside maybe 20 mins later Travis was there his truck unloaded, equipment set up. All three seemed very busy. What they had to do to get that scratch out was unreal. The scratch wasn't just to the metal, the metal was scratched as well. It was a lot of work many steps in the process and it took some time. As they neared completion of the project, one of the guys found me in my backyard and filled me in. I started towards my car, already close enough where the scratch was previously visible, I saw shiny pint. I continued to close the distance, scrutinizing with increased intensity. I was at the car, scanning the previously damaged area with my eyes. I saw no sign of any damage, no residual of the scratch whatsoever. My nightmare was over, Travis and his guys made my car look like brand new. I can once again drive my car with pride. My daughter was involved in an accident on December 12, 2025, in Raleigh when another driver ran a red light. Her vehicle was towed, and the insurance adjuster informed her that the car had been taken to Caliber Collision in Garner. When I contacted that location for an update, I was told the vehicle was not there. Multiple follow-up calls with the insurance company led to no clear answers as to where the vehicle was located. After a full month had passed since the accident, my frustration was understandably growing. When I called Caliber Collision in Garner again, Rachel answered the phone. I explained the situation, and although I was clearly irritated, Rachel remained calm, professional, and understanding throughout the entire conversation. She immediately gave me confidence that someone was willing to go the extra mile to help resolve this issue. Rachel took my information and told me, "Sir, I will make some phone calls and get back to you in 30 minutes." In less than 15 minutes, she called me back. She had already reached out to the insurance adjuster and suggested that we contact the towing company together on a three-way call. Until that point, no one--including the insurance adjuster--had contacted the tow company to authorize any disposition of the vehicle.
