As I was returning to my car, I could see it from a distance, someone had "keyed " scratch, the entire length of the driver's side of my vehicle. It was severe. Rule of thump: put water on a scratch on your auto finish, if the scratch disappears it can be buffed out. When I got home I ran the hose,wet the car, the scratch remained completely visible. As I'm new to Raleigh, and new to NC I didn't know who to call. I opened the Yelp app and contacted several repair shops based on reviews. They all responded promptly and gave a quote except one. The first one to respond didn't give me a quote, he set a time for the next day when he could come see it in person. The day Travis arrived a few minutes early and I was ready. He inspected the scratch and gave me a quote, best by several hundred $$ I was skeptical, I told Travis I was awaiting to hear from a couple more shops but I would let him know either way within a couple hours. I had a good feeling about Travis so even though his very much lower price gave me a "too good to be true" vibe, I needed my car fixed so I texted Travis. We set a time for two days later as I had to work around my schedule. Travis' two helpers arrived early, before Travis. They explained they would prep the car and could start immediately. I left them to get started as I had a project had had to attend. When I looked outside maybe 20 mins later Travis was there his truck unloaded, equipment set up. All three seemed very busy. What they had to do to get that scratch out was unreal. The scratch wasn't just to the metal, the metal was scratched as well. It was a lot of work many steps in the process and it took some time. As they neared completion of the project, one of the guys found me in my backyard and filled me in. I started towards my car, already close enough where the scratch was previously visible, I saw shiny pint. I continued to close the distance, scrutinizing with increased intensity. I was at the car, scanning the previously damaged area with my eyes. I saw no sign of any damage, no residual of the scratch whatsoever. My nightmare was over, Travis and his guys made my car look like brand new. I can once again drive my car with pride. I recommend Same Day Bumper and Grill all day every day and twice on Sunday Than you Travis !!

On the way to my appointment I got a tire pressure alert on my vehicle. Thinking it was just a slow leak, I decided that I would just put some air in my tire after I left the appointment. Once I arrived at Debnam's I noticed that the air was coming out quicker than I thought. I advised the woman at the front desk, Hunter, what was going on & asked her if someone could put some air into my tire for me prior to my appointment. She agreed and asked Raphael to assist me. He was very friendly and attempted to put air into my tire. That didn't work because there was a hole in it. I was thinking to myself that I would have to call and wait for towing assistance but Raphael volunteered to put my spare tire on for me. After my spare tire was put on my vehicle by Raphael, I spoke to Sawyer to get an estimate for the cosmetic work on my vehicle. She asked appropriate questions and was very professional. In the end she gave me great advice and wasn't focused on making a profit. Sawyer also checked the tire pressure of my spare tire to make sure that there was enough air in it so that I could get to my destination safely. The staff at Debnam's went above and beyond to assist me and for that I am truly grateful!! Sawyer also did not try to take advantage of me and do work that wasn't beneficial for the situation that I am in like some repair shops do! She was totally honest with me!! They take your car somewhere you cannot watch, I got it back, although the tint job itself looked pretty good, it does not do much in the way of blocking heat, can still feel it on my face and arm when driving. Does not look very clear but maybe that is because it is new IDK. What I really am disappointed in is that it seems they never used a drop rag or something to prevent the soap from dripping down my door panels and into my Harmon Kardon speakers nor did they try to even wipe it off. I cleaned it off with a damp microfiber and most came off, got my rear seat wet, I noticed my Alcantara seat in the back now has some wrinkles. Oh and the label they use telling you to not roll down your windows leaves glue residue on the buttons when you remove it. Just cant recommend these folks, they are not very friendly, its like I was bothering them just me being there. Tint looks pretty good though and the price was the cheapest bar none. But I was hoping for a better quality product and better care for my car. Oh and Reving my engine in the service bay is not cool, Make sure you put your car in Valet mode if you take your car here. I would not use this mechanic again. I originally used a mobile mechanic thinking I could save some…read moremoney, but after this experience I would rather spend the extra money and take my car to an established shop. I paid him $150 to install a replacement throttle body on my 2009 Dodge Caliber on June 11th. After the installation, my car was fluttering while idling and continued doing that until June 17th, when the car shut off. I couldn't even drive it one mile. Around that time, while I was already dealing with the problems with my car, he started making advances toward me. He asked me if I wanted a "sugar daddy," repeatedly told me I was a "good woman," and during a test drive asked me if I wanted to spend more time with him. He also talked to me about having a wife and twin children, which made the advances even more inappropriate to me. I turned him down. I asked him how he relearned the throttle body with the computer and didn't get an answer. Before he came back to work on my car again, I specifically asked him to bring the computer/programmer, and he said okay. When he came back, I asked about it and that was when he told me he didn't have the equipment and said it cost around $5,000. I would have liked to know that before paying him to install the throttle body. I also paid him another $125 to install an IMRC actuator. The next day my car was scanned again and P2004, Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open, was still showing. I later asked him to make sure the actuator he installed was working before I bought more parts, but I never received confirmation that it was. My issue is twofold. I had problems with the work I paid for, and at the same time I was dealing with unwanted advances from the person I hired to work on my car. I can't say whether my turning him down had anything to do with what happened afterward, but given the timing, it is something I have questioned. Before I pay anyone for a service, I always look at the reviews first. That's one of the reasons I'm leaving this review. Other customers, especially women, should know about the experience I had before deciding whether to hire him. After everything that happened, I question whether he is selective about who he behaves this way toward. For women especially, I would think twice about using a mobile mechanic just to save money. If you do decide to use one, use a credit card or another payment method that gives you clear purchase protection and a way to dispute the charge if something goes wrong. Women should be able to hire someone to work on their vehicle without having to deal with unwanted advances while trying to conduct business. Based on my experience, I would rather spend the extra money and go to an established repair shop where there is more accountability and professionalism.
