The Wagners are very honest about timetables and costs. They are good about telling you what various options you have for parts, types of repairs, etc so you understand what the opportunity costs are with respect to time, money, convenience, and quality. They are also very responsive about looping customers in on communication with the insurance companies. I appreciated that the Wagners were willing to explain auto body 101 concepts to me -- they are humble and there is no talking down or condescension when repairs/car issues are being explained. On sort of a side note, by talking to Rob I learned a lot about car bodies and just generally got some bigger picture insight into car repairs, the insurance industry, and supply chain issues. The Wagners just come across as being very decent and thoughtful guys. And not least of all, the quality of the repair is fantastic. The car looks like new and feels new. Even though I live in the eastern part of the city of Pittsburgh and the Wagners are out in a northern suburb, I would make them my first choice for future big repairs. I recommend the Wagners in the strongest, most certain terms.

I had to have a smart windshield replaced in my Subaru Crosstrek and not only did they work around my ridiculous schedule multiple times, but gave me several repair options and explained everything they were doing. They had my windshield replaced sooner than they had promised, and even completely cleaned my horribly dirty car from top to bottom, inside and out, at no additional cost. Also, I had to have a rental car for 2 days during the process, and they drove me to Enterprise and also allowed me to leave my rental car at their shop when I came to pick up my Subaru, and they returned the car to enterprise. I cannot say enough about how amazing this place is. I have had Yelp since 2016 and had never taken the time to leave a review until I had this experience at Rob Wagner Auto body. I've never been in an accident requiring repairs…read more They call me to come pick it up, when I arrive a mechanic tells me there was a rusted part they didn't replace, but it will cause the check engine light to come on. Frank the owner said no, reassuring me they sprayed lubricant on it, it'll be fine. The very NEXT day, take the truck and family to a kid's competition, the check engine light comes on before we even make it there. Thank god I have AAA. Call frank again on Monday morning. He literally tried to tell me, check engine lights come on all the time. Like I'm stupid. I've never had one problem with this vehicle until the accident. It's a 2016 with 60k. He says I need to bring it in so HE can look at the error code. His mechanic said this was going to happen right in front of the owner. The owner reset the codes without showing me what the error code was, and just tells me I should drive it for the couple days to see if it comes on again. They put it back together knowing there were faulty parts and sent me on my way. If it wasn't for the mechanic being honest and spewing verbal diarrhea about the faulty parts on my vehicle I never would have known that they were fully aware when I left, my check engine light would come on, but at that point they say it's my responsibility to have it fixed. The owner tried to say on the phone it was my gas cap, lol. My car doesn't even have a gas cap. Frank said if it comes on we'll take to ford, or just put a f@&$!?; riser on it. Then the owner packed up his error reader and walked away from me, leaving me in the street with my truck and said nothing. Real business owners try to fix their mistakes, not this guy. So if you want to be treated like dirt when you try to get your car fixed, COMPLETELY, after an accident, this is your spot. The owner treats you like an ignorant liar. Like I want to have to figure out why my truck came out of their shop with more problems than it did when I dropped it off. I just want my truck back in one piece without having to tow it, drive around with check engine lights, or not be treated like dirt when you are the victim of an accident. The mechanic told me it would happen, it did, now Frank acts like it wasn't their responsibility. If you they put a broken caliper back on my truck, and said mmmm be careful your brakes might fail, and they fail the very next day. it would be the same thing.
