Julio is Rude and Unprofessional - Avoid This Location! I came to this Caliber Collision location on Airport Rd in Oceanside for a warranty repair because the paint on my front bumper was peeling from a previous Caliber job. At first, the manager Julio was friendly, but as soon as I started asking questions about the warranty, he got rude and short with me. I told him there was no major damage to the bumper just minor scrapes from parking curbs like any Prius gets. I wasn't there for that. I was there because the paint was literally peeling off. Instead of focusing on the warranty issue, he fixated on the minor scrapes and then told me, "We're not doing the work here," and handed me my paperwork. I was polite the entire time and simply asked a few questions nothing confrontational and he shut it down completely. I ended up going to another Caliber location, where they treated me with respect and professionalism. Avoid this Oceanside location if you value being treated decently, especially if you're coming in for warranty work. Julio was extremely rude and dismissive. read more

Service with Claudia requesting my totaled trucks personalized license plates was a TOTAL MISS!!!! Once I found out my late mom's truck was deemed totaled, I called last week to at least retrieve the personalized plates with her name. My hold to her vehicles memory and her. Silly but it means a lot to me. Claudia assured me it would happen and I could pick them up. I was OVERJOYED! I called TODAY to be sure they had the plates for the 2005 Toyota Tacoma (as I live an hour away without traffic) and was told they had them IF they were handicap plates or personalized. I get there and to my surprise- NOPE! They not only DID NOT have them, but no empathy, sympathy or apology. The "excuse" was she was at lunch and unable to get them before the truck was taken to the salvage yard. Ummmmmmm... HELLO! Maybe she should have CALLED ME to say she wasn't able to fulfill my request. This was LAST WEEK!!! ************************************ I would be very worried to have work completed on any vehicle at this location as a simple request like this was a problem. I decided to take my car to this shop for repairs, and the paint job turned out well, but I was disappointed because my stereo screen and navigation system stopped working which was weird because when I dropped off my car everything was still working and the bad thing is that the company said they would not take responsibility. I did not visit this location to for any collision repair but to replace some parts that had deteriorated due to age of the vehicle and being exposed to the sun most of the time. They were amazing, ordered the parts and, once received, took care of the job in a few minutes, right price. read more

My car was there last August. All finished EXCEPT the tailgate emblems (2) were out of stock. I called every few months, along with 2 Lexus dealerships. All said same..mfr was behind, wait could be as much as a yr. It's been a yr now & i made my usual call still nothing. HOWEVER.. Caliber was under new mgmt, Reed Chapman, who apologized but said still back logged. Next week & 1/2 Reed calls to say he found them on EBay. Talk about going above & beyond!! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. someone tried breaking into my car and popped in my key hole and door handle. I took it to the airport road location and am not happy. 1. I scheduled appointment over the phone and was told there will be a rental waiting for me which wasn't the case. 2.girl at front desk was high as a kit and very careless on relaying messages to guy helping me 3.Vincent's lack of communication with me and accountability has been awful and plain disrespectful. They didn't even have the parts ordered and it's been 2 weeks and I still don't even have an estimated time of when the parts will even be in. 4. I already spent $700 with enterprise for a rental car when this whole waiting period I could have driven my own car while parts were being ordered and from the lack of professionalism and communication I have wasted money and my time. I will never come back here and will use my media platform to let everyone know how terrible my experience has been. read more

I'm from Oxnard and my daughter had an accident in Oceanside. The tow took her to Caliber on a Sunday. She left a message for them and they contacted her first thing Monday. After about 10 days the car was deemed totaled. We went today to get her stuff and the owner/manager not sure which he was and front desk worker could not have made my daughter feel better. She told them who she was and first words where we are so sorry. They took us to the car to clean out and expressed their thanks she was ok. Let me start by saying I really didn't want to spend the time to even write this review. Yelp to me is quite literally a waste of time. However, I felt compelled to help people save some time and hassle after picking up my car. Despite the laundry list of weird synchronicities, I wasn't going to write this. However, being called after taking my car home to casually pay a deductible over the phone that I was exempt from (not at fault) is the definition of scam. What better slap in the face to a customer than to indirectly tell them "you're stupid let's see if I can sucker you for more money". If you really want to scam, go launch an ERC-20 shitcoin and tell people you'll fix their car for free just for holding the token. How can you backtrack and even have the audacity to say "ok well I'll talk to your insurance and let you know if anything changes"? What are you gonna tell them? "Hey let's change this so this guy can pay us more money!" Next, I was told the day it was completed, there were some electrical problems. Someone told me that luckily, all they had to do is reset it. But after going in the office, someone else said they put in a new battery. So which is it fellas? Now I am having issues with my backup camera. Something they were not even supposed to be working on. Enter #2. Given the car took 37 days to complete, I called a few times just to check up on it as communication largely ceased. I got to speak to the parts guy one day where he flat out told me "yeah I forgot to get this one piece". Hey man, people make mistakes its all good. But to then have the same person that tried scamming some "deductible" cash tell me they're having trouble finding the part? Nope. Another incidence of no communication resulted in me calling as it had taken so long, my insurance policy for a rental car was reaching its end. To voice the concern and get back "well its only been 3 weeks, not a month".... sick attitude Ken! Customer service 101! When I finally picked up the car my passenger head rest was off and many of my personal belongings were rummaged around in my car, front seats and back seats. Places I didn't even put these items. Trying to find a 5 finger discount? As a working professional who spends a majority of their time client-facing, I can't even fathom if I had done some of the above, or equivalent in my working life. I would be canned so fast!!! Assuming the best out of the team at this location, still, why would you call the customer without even knowing what's going on? Regardless of whether it is a sales or customer service point of view, totally unprofessional. I can't speak for all of Caliber, I'm sure other locations have sound business fundamentals. But Ken and this team, no bueno. read more
