Took my car in for a simple bumper repair. I towed the car in because there was a sound in the engine I was concerned with. Caliber told me if I wanted them to check the engine that I needed Allstate to authorize them to look at it. I called Allstate then Caliber. A week later I get a call saying the car was ready. I asked if the engine was fine and was told everything "checked out". When we picked it up was told again ensuring was good. My son then drove the car to Chula Vista where the engine started rattling bad. When the hood was popped the oil cap was sitting on the engine compartment. I towed the car to a mechanic who tells me that since the car was driven for 80 miles with no oil the engine is now blown. When I called Caliber to complain they said they never opened the hood. When I asked about the employee that said the engine was fine I was told that he no longer worked there and that he left no notes so it was a"he said, she said ". 2 months and 3 people later I'm told Caliber wasn't responsible and the best they were willing to do was give me back my $500. The engine quote I got is $6500. They know they did something wrong and they won't do anything to help. I offered to split the cost and was told that that $500 was the only thing they were willing to do. The measure of a business is what they do when something goes wrong. Caliber failed miserably. At first, I really enjoyed the service that I was receiving from caliber collision. They were very friendly and reception and the person who was in contact with me about my car was very friendly. The problem however came with communication regarding my car repairs. Communication was unfortunately very poor. At first, they told me that my car would be ready within a weeks time my Friday, and they would give me updates every two days. Not only did they fail to give me updates until I contacted them asking for updates regarding my car, but then they told me that my car would be a week delayed. The new due date for my car was the following week, an entire week longer. Another week passes, and they tell me that Thursday that my car would be ready. I told them that I would not be able to pick it up that Thursday. That next day, on Friday in the afternoon, they told me that my car will be ready to pick up by 5 PM. I told him that I would not be able to pick it up by 5 PM because I wanted to leave for Los Angeles that night. Since I didn't want to pay another $45 on my rental car for insurance, I decided to go to caliber that day and delay my trip to Los Angeles. After no response I arrive at caliber that same day to pick up my car at 5 PM.To my chagrin, they told me that my car wasn't ready, because I have not confirm that I would be picking it up, but they didn't tell me that my car wouldn't be ready that day. They ended up delaying my cars repairs again, a 3rd delay. They would then tell me that my car would be ready to pick up at Monday at noontime. What's frustrating is that caliber did not communicate that my car would not be ready, and assume that I would not be coming to pick up my car on Friday, and they delayed the repair of my car 3 times. Because of this, I've had to pay over $100 in insurance fees for the my rental car. Although their customer service is nice, the communication has not been the best at caliber collision. I hope that they do remedy this next time, because i like coming for the popcorn. read more

Brought my car to Caliber Collision recommended by my insurance company for repair, Caliber's findings "your car is a total loss, the cost to replace motor and labor exceeds the costs of your 2009 Volvo C70" really? Thank goodness, I didn't approve or sign because I knew the car was not driven after I fell in a pot hole and lost all my oil and cracked bumper. So I decided to get a 2nd opinion, State Farm towed it to another repair place "Rancho Collision" Rancho advised engine was not ceased as per Caliber, WOW! So when in doubt get that 2nd opinion!! Rancho Collision advised the same day within hours found the hole, plugged it, started it ordered a new oil pan, installed new oil pan, fixed my bumper, END OF STORY! I am so glad I didn't go with Caliber because the amount of Replacing Motor I didn't need, from my balance I still owe to auto loan I would have had a car payment and NO CAR!!! I stopped by Caliber Collision today, April 12, 2024 to have them look at some scratches on my Kia Sorento. I wanted to find out if they could help me. After arriving, a Service Advisor (Mayte Ortega Raya) proceeded to check out the damage. I asked if she thought that the scratches could possibly be removed via the process of buffing them out. She replied "lets find out". She had also during her review of the damaged area noticed that the area had been repaired at some early time. "What an observation". I replied yes, I had some work done previously by their business. She took the car right away and drove it over to an area where they do buffing. After about fifteen minutes she returned with my vehicle. She told me that there would not be a charge. I was amazed at how well the scratches had been removed, how quickly everything was completed and especially at no cost. I would like to that Mayte for her prompt and genuine service. read more

Excellent service! Way above and beyond and I couldn't be happier with the staff here and particularly the manager Alma. This was my second time coming here because the first time was so great. My daughter is a new driver so she got in another accident. Alma made sure they got us the best deal on the needed parts, did extra service to make sure the care was fixed to our satisfaction and was so pleasant through the whole process. Julio needs some training in customer service... Granted we get busy, but true service professionals never let the customer suffer because of that... Calls me Thursday afternoon to inform me that after our conversation Wednesday morning, he was never able to find my keys which were left under the Driver seat (unattended tow) & that actually, the Tow Driver pocketed them and was delivering them to Caliber later that date... AFTER, he continues with the great news stating they are backlogged and that taking my car to the hemet location would be my best bet, unless I wanted to wait on the better end of 2-3 weeks for my car to be completed in murrieta.. my Car was towed Sunday Morning... Needless to say, I advised Julio I was contacting my insurance, also contacted MORENO VALLEY CALIBER, whom is having it towed to their location and will begin all breakdowns/repairs by Monday hopefully having it back in less than a week.. 2 stars being nice & for the fact Moreno Valley Caliber gets 5 stars for having their business together.. read more

Somehow a big boulder jumped up and tortured my right front bumper and crumbled the stuff they hide behind it. My insurance company recommended the Murrieta shop and they guarantee their work. I said goodbye from the house as it was towed away. Well I cant say enough about the attention Mike Hale gave the Santa Fe as well as keeping me informed of the progress almost daily. Then upon inspection he found things not quite right and got to the bottom of that very quickly and then it was done to perfection and it felt like a new car (looked like it too). I wouldn't go anywhere else. Top shelf service, including Mayte taking care of the final bill, fielding the phone calls and customer service. So my car has been at this shop for over two months because I was struck by a lady at a shopping center. At first, the advisor was updating me on the repairs. But then the finish date kept getting pushed back. He said this day, then this day, then next week. Now the alignment is off and the radar is messed up. Not once have I blamed this guy for the setbacks and have tried to be calm, but this dude actually tried to blame me for the alignment being off by asking me if I ran over something. Up until the accident, my car was perfectly fine and it's a 2021 model. Things happen, but to try and blame me for something that was clearly an issue of the accident? That's what set me off. I was rear ended by someone with Allstate Insurance. They recommended a body shop which was their preferred body shop. After it took that gentleman 2 weeks to return my phone call I opted to take my car elsewhere. I know Eddie at Caliber Collision and I knew he would take car of me - and that he did! Once they removed my bumper, additional damage was found. Caliber contacted Allstate directly and they approved the addiitonal charges without me having to make one single phone call. This plaice is absolutely horrible. My car wouldn't start so I filed a claim, called the shop, and had my vehicle towed to the shop. Once it got there the vehicle was rejected. I was told that in the 30 minute gap of talking to them and the car getting there they received too many cars and could not accept the vehicle. I just paid hundreds of dollars to have the vehicle towed. I spoke to the manager and she was less than helpful. She kept saying I was yelling at her and she was going to hang up. I was upset but I was not yelling at her. She also said that because the car doesn't turn on they can't fix it. That doesn't give me much confidence in their abilities. Isn't that the point? I had to pay to have the vehicle towed back to my house. This place is very unprofessional and clearly doesn't have a full service auto shop. If you go here you are taking a huge risk. What a terrible thing to do to someone. Like I said, it was all approved. I called them and they knew the vehicle was coming yet they decided to accept 5 more vehicles within that 30 minute timeframe and bump me without even calling me. They both greeted me with kindness and wanted to make sure that all the problems I addressed with my car was fixed. Received a quote from this shop to repair my vehicle and it literally left out so much damage that i couldn't believe it. On top of that you have things quoted that don't make any sense. For example , when a right rear quarter panel has to be completely cut off and replaced and painted , the adjacent panels need to be blended in order to make the paint match. Instead the quote says they would remove/install the tailgate (which is also scratched and needed to be repaint but no mention of that) but doesn't mention blending the rear passenger door either. Which means they were just going to mask it off when painting the quarter panel. End state would be a color mismatch between the new color and the old. Whole truck is scratched up but no mention of refinish/recondition (buff any scratched panels, buff excess orange peel etc). Now i understand every shop will do a tear down and send in the supplements to insurance. But the complete oversight of obvious damage and implied work that comes with the already quoted damage didn't leave me any confidence in the work to be done. Brought it down the road to Murrieta Auto Collision and was given a proper quote that was more in line with what you would expect when a TREE falls on a vehicle. read more
