I was so impressed when I brought my car to them. I told my husband how nice and efficient they were. I had my husband pick up my car and he called me immediately after he left letting me know that I was not kidding, they were so nice, did not try to take advantage, and they did a great job. We both agreed that it did not look like a body shop, it is really nice! I wish I remembered the persons name who helped me. I think he is in charge of the shop. Great customer service so informative and helped me in anyway but my car is now out from the shop I wanna say 4 months, and the front end where they fixed the paint is already chipping off. I'm guessing they used really cheap paint on it, because there's no reason it should be already coming off. Firstly I want to say that my car is my everything and when I was rear ended by a wreck less driver I was heartbroken to see my car in that condition. However, when I called Caliber Collision in Montclair, they were ready and wanted to see my car and get started, it made me so happy to hear that they wanted to get her back into shape. When I picked up my car from its repairs, it almost made me tear up that it looked like the day I got her from the car lot in 2017, she pretty much looked brand new! Now, I want to say a big thank you to Kenny and the Montclair team for fixing the rear end of my Toyota 86! My car was taken here for repairs after I was hit by someone who ran a red light. The radiator needed to be replaced, but when they did that they did not put any radiator fluid into the radiator. When I drove it the check engine light came on, and the temperature shot up to maximum, which means the engine overheated. This happened twice before I realized there was literally not a drop of radiator fluid, it was bone dry. I had my boss give me a ride to the local auto shop to get coolant to prevent any further damage to the engine. It took the entire jug, proving it had absolutely none in it. When I told this to the person that handled my case at Caliber their response was "Ok". At this point my car is now leaking oil from a leaky seal and I am positive it was caused by the fact that I used the car for two days without radiator fluid. I brought it back in and according to them unless Toyota themselves can prove that the oil leak is related to the accident on the claim that they have no obligation to fix my vehicle because they only replaced the radiator and did not touch those seals. I am arguing that they caused severe damage to my vehicle with their neglect, and they are refusing to take responsibility for their actions by repairing that damage. They are lucky my engine didn't seize up completely and total the car, then I would be getting a lawyer involved. I still might have to, we will see what the extent of the damage is with time. I am in contact with my insurance company at the moment and they seem to agree with me so far on this. I know my family mechanic who has seen my car before and after this experience agrees with me, especially considering that it was not leaking oil before the accident. Caliber tried to tell me that it's "normal" for my car to be leaking because it's about 90k miles, even though it's a 2015 Scion FR-S. The seals are nowhere near old enough to be failing yet. The only reason they should be failing is misuse of the engine, which running it without radiator fluid repeatedly constitutes. As a side note they also took my car for a joyride, without coolant of course. The reasons I believe this are the ladies sunglasses in my glovebox, and the extra miles on the car. I don't keep sunglasses in there, and the glasses didn't belong to my girlfriend as she wears prescription lenses. Seems pretty suspicious considering my car was only there for repairs. I understand a test drive, but the glasses and miles tell a more exciting story. You still shouldn't do a test drive without any radiator fluid though, especially with the Ferris Bueller-esque shenanigans they likely pulled. I am extremely displeased and I will not stand for this. read more

3.5 more moths they have had my car! Fixed the first time in July--- but they didn't calibrate the rear brake assist correctly so when you put the car in reverse the car's auto braking assist slammed on as if you were about to hit something. It wasn't fixed and simply not safe to drive. Another month in their shop and an additional delivery that was rejected since it wasn't fixed properly a second time---- I now await my car again. Of course this only is happening thanks to our USAA rep who was interceding on our behalf. I understand part delays, staff taking time off and even the impact of three day weekends. But I have lost all tolerance for the half truths, manipulation of language and simple lack of courtesy from the GM (Rick). Last week Rick says he left the car with the dealer. The dealer said Caliber picked it up. No one could tell me where it even was. Turns out it was at the dealership but Caliper didn't re sign in the car when they left it to authorize the work. So the car just sat. Rick is notably annoyed when I call and question the status. But if I didn't we still wouldn't have any progress. He evidently needs frequent reminders to get things done. Tonight was the last straw--- at 2pm I spoke directly with Rick. He assured me the car was done and would be delivered this afternoon. I questioned him several times...would the car be delivered this afternoon. He assured me it would be. At ten minutes to 8:00 pm I get a call from the tow driver stating he would be delivering the car around 10 pm. In the pitch black night I'm supposed to take delivery? I refused. I also told him I must leave by 6:30 am for the airport. He offered to deliver at 6 am. I appreciate at least he is trying to help. I called Rick who did answer the phone but never apologized and said he was too busy to call or have someone else call to tell me how late the car would be delivered. The car now has to sit outside, unsecured in Hesperia overnight. Seriously Rick---you think a ten pm delivery is in any way shape or form acceptable? read more

So my truck was hit a few weeks ago in need of repairs so I chose to go with Caliber because I've had good experience with them. I got connected with Rudy who thoroughly explain the entire process even with an anticipated amount of time it will take to get the vehicle back in my hands. In this day and age, it's not all the time you come across someone who really takes the time to explain all the aspects of the process while also making you feel confident in the work that they do. The first time I was here, the person who helped me gave me outstanding service and I was able to make an appointment really fast. The second time I came here, I was very disappointed, they were late in the repairs, as well as when I got it the carburetor was leaking. I had sent it back for a repair, they normally would offer me to pay for my car rental since it was a mistake on their part but did not even offer that, even though it set me back. My car was also washed and waxed and when I was in the garage and my husband saw the leak, we saw swirl mark and residue from the wax. They tried to fix it but I ended up doing it myself as the results were the same under the garage light.
