The car body is repaired however the cars mechanical system is not repaired. The car was released to me in unsafe conditions With the following issues displayed on the dash Power Steering Malfunction -- Steering Power Low" * "Braking Power Low -- Stop in a Safe Place" * ABS warning light * Master warning triangle And headlight issue The vehicle can have issues with brakes or with power steering at any given moment however what's was told to me was there was headlamp issue. No mention of the brake system or power steering system. I have the photos and documented videos of me still in the parking lot with the vehicle loudly displaying these warnings. FIX made it seems as though these issues were present possibly prior to the accident and reported that to the insurance now having issues with my claim. I will never return or recommend this place to anyone doing shady business practices. From the get go you knew you couldn't fix the car properly. Do not take your cars here. read more

Ok so first off this place was referred to me by AAA after being rear ended and pushed into another car. My car was good before and ran bad after the crash. First glance the place was friendly and the lady at the front desk is the sweetest person ever. Best customer service..... but it goes DOWNHILL fast. I told them the car sounded like a Harley Davidson after it got hit. I was sandwiched between two cars and was jolted hard. Both other cars had a lot of damage externally, mine seemed ok externally but ran horribly after. I thought maybe the muffler or exhaust. I get a call back and they only wanted to fix cosmetic stuff. They told me the way it was running was due to wear and tear and not the crash. I love my car. I take good care of it. I am VERY disappointed. What's the point of a cosmetic fix when the car doesn't run well. They proceeded to do the cosmetic repair without my approval and it affected how the insurance company would proceed with the repair process. Then it seemed they wanted to backtrack for not being thorough in the inspection of the car and submitted a secondary report to AAA. They seem loyal to keeping costs down for AAA at the expense of customers. Not a good experience. read more

Horrible experience!! Not a safe place to leave your car!! Took my car for a minor bumper repair. My car was at their shop for about two weeks. When I picked it up right away I noticed my license plate was missing, the lights were not installed properly. Within minutes of driving off the tire liner fell off. Had to wait another week for them to replace the liner. To top it off I also noticed my car was broken into and vandalized while it was under their care. It's been a nightmare getting them to take responsibility. They claim alarms didn't go off therefore it didn't happen. Even though manager confirmed the premises was not secure on two different days. Came here for a visual quote and was immediately greeted by a really friendly woman at the receptionist desk. She and she alone is the reason I'm okay with leaving a one star (even though technically I'd rate her 5 stars) I didn't quite catch her name but she sits on the right side when you walk in and I believe she might've had reddish or brown hair and she wore glasses. She actually does her job. Now for the reason I'm leaving a 1 star review... the guy who did the visual estimate *was* also friendly HOWEVER, he just didn't seem to care to do his job. He immediately stated off the bat that he wouldn't be providing a paper estimate and didn't even touch the car. He basically stood in front of the bumper where the damage was, and gave an estimate. We asked if he could share any information on what he could see is damaged just off looking at it and he was quick to be like "I don't know, I can't tell you unless we fix it" and that right there immediately told me he didn't want to do any work at all and just wanted us to be happy with an estimate of the car he didn't even touch. This was such an awful display of laziness and carelessness and honestly as two women we felt very pushed aside. After this, we went to 3 different auto body shops within the area where EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM came out, touched the car and moved around parts to see the damage AND gave us an idea as to what might have to be fixed. That's literally the definition of an estimate right? Two of them even gave PAPER estimates so we could see exactly what it was we might be looking at. Very disappointed and we will not be returning to get anything done here. Do better :) read more

Brought my car to have back end and quarter panels fixed due to a rear end collision and have been regretting it everyday, I've been dealing with the crappy job they have done on my car. I've left them my car 3 times and every time has been worst, they've even put a dent in the driver back door and overspray through out the whole car, they fixed the buckling of the quarter panels and when it was taken back for them to align the back lights they buckled the quarter panels again. Now my car is being sent over to there other location in Ontario hopefully they'll do a better job there but that's still to be seen. So whoever left five stars for the Montclair Fix has to be friends and family or they just don't really care to much about there car as long as it's drivable I'd have to be out of my mind to recommend this shop to anyone, if I could give it zero stars I would. read more

Cory was so helpful when I came in yesterday. A piece of my under-bumper was falling off, and they were able to pop it back into place, along with a defunct rocker panel on the side. They did all this without charging me. I took my car to them awhile back when I needed to repair the front bumper, and they were absolutely excellent. This was the worst experience I've ever had with an auto collision place. They literally only fixed one side of my car, they completely neglected to fix the other side. Then lied and said that my insurance never mentioned the other side. They placed a bumper on my car that didn't properly fit, left the alarm system piece dangling my the brake petal, and had "forgotten" to return my vehicle cleaning supplies back in my trunk until I said something about it. Chris advised me to lie to Subaru and tell them that I didn't know why my car was making a noise, he said "don't tell them that you were in an accident". What kind of advice is this, considering Subaru had just sold me my car a month and a half prior to this accident? When I went in to inquire about the dangling danger by the brake petal, Steve the manager was utterly rude, lacked compassion, and could not seem to care less that this business' carelessness was negligent and endangering to myself and my family. So if you want your vehicle Mickey Moused, and if you want to drive without feeling safe and secure, then go ahead and take your vehicle to Fix It Auto in Montclair. read more
