My car was given back to me much cleaner than when I dropped it off. Regular updates were provided to me regarding the expected finish time. I got rear-ended and took my car here to have it fixed. They kept the car a long time. Claim they were waiting for parts. I would drive by regularly and notice my car sitting in the parking lot with some sort of cover over the trunk and parts on top of it. Long story short, two years later that clear coat had totally worn off my trunk. When I questioned them, they didn't ever remember working on my car even though I have the ticket. I ended up taking my car to WT auto body in Fairfax and paying to have the trunk painted again so I could have clear coat on It. WT auto body is a place to go. They are Fair and customer oriented. By using caliber, it cost me $600 to have my trunk repainted. Never again while I use them. read more

TL;DR - I annoyed the estimator by finding a part that Caliber's staff was having a hard time finding and pricing. The estimator was dismissive. The young ladies and one gent running the front office were super nice. Everyone was honest and up-front, including my insurance company. The reason I initially selected Caliber Collision was because they had a good reputation, were a large shop with experience, and would be able to find parts and get the job done in a wonky market recovering from parts scarcity. Unfortunately, I was wrong on some of these. The ladies there were nice. The center had fresh popcorn, coffee, and water. I can tell that my 2009 Toyota SUV annoyed the adjuster/estimator. Essentially, Caliber's estimator indicated that they would have a difficult time sourcing a tailgate for my 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser and might not be able to repair my vehicle and may have to look for a recycled tailgate. Fair enough. The bumper cover, some sensors, and the muffler tailpipe were the only other things damaged and easy to price. He was right - I could not find a recycled tailgate from several of the large salvage suppliers. Granted, I am not a huge corporate body shop and just called a few of the larger salvage companies and searched the net. There was a used tailgate on eBay from a scrap yard that looked good but they probably have to source from a reputable used parts supplier. After that, I called 2 dealers locally. Both can order the part and it is a 2-4 week lead for a new or new old stock (NOS) part. One of the dealers told me that a dealer in Atlanta actually has one in stock. I found the dealer in Atlanta and verified it was in stock. When I told the Caliber estimator that I was able to find a tailgate at a dealer in Atlanta he told me "That's not the way it works." and seemed annoyed. This is my first wreck in 20 years. I don't know how this works! However, I was able to find the part and told him that I have the information if he needs it. He didn't want it and was completely dismissive. It's kind of sad that such a large repair organization can't repair or find parts to repair a 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser when I was able to find the "missing unicorn." I called my insurance company and did the work to move to a small family owned shop in Sterling. That shop was super nice, told me to bring in what parts information I had, and would ask USAA if they could use it *if* they can't get the part locally. They do have to check locally and recycled first. Fair enough. The locally owned shop respected my time and my inexperience with accidents. They set an appointment for a week out, which is normal and I look forward to seeing them. They asked me to share my parts research and valued my efforts. read more

BLUF: Find somewhere else. Awful technicians. Don't waste your time or money. Work (0/5): A deer hit my car & I took my car here to get it fixed. When this place was owned by Pohanka, they were good; after they were sold, they're absolute awful. It took them 1 year, 4 rental cars, & 4 trips back to them for them to fix the initial issue & all their mess ups. They have the worst technicians. They would "fix" one issue, just for another to show up. OR they'd say it's fixed, when it was CLEARLY not fixed. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I will NEVER go back to them. My door was STILL messed up after a year so I ended up taking my car elsewhere to have them fix what Caliber created since I was tired of the headache they caused. I don't care about their lifetime warranty on their work; their work is trash & they don't deserve to be in business. Panels weren't snapped in, wires weren't connected, wires were rusted, speakers were broken, doors were dented, axles and wheel wells were damaged and never fixed. I took my car to Craftsman Auto Care a year later & they immediately asked me if there was a collision on the front left wheel. I told them a deer hit me, and they said the wheel well & axle weren't fixed correctly by Caliber so it couldn't be aligned 100%... ever. It's cliche but... if I could give 0 stars, I would. Value (0/5): They charged my insurance company for a brand new door. BUT they gave me a door they got at an auction that was ALREADY in a car crash AND the speaker was blown. I fought them about the door and they said "parts are hard to come by". When I said "you guys charged my insurance for a new door," they tried just a LITTLE bit harder to fix the door. Door still has a slight dent in it and they said "we'll never be able to get that out." TLDR: Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. read more

He makes discriminatory remarks and rude comments that do not correlate to the service. He was training someone and the guy had no idea what he was doing as he was pointing to doug being his trainer. I'm sure doug is deleting google reviews but that just shows how dishonest he and this location is. He also tried to upsell $1,000+ and say something else was wrong with the vehicle when there wasn't. So this car is a car we are saving for our soon to be 15-year-old. We have probably put 100 miles on it since the body work service several years ago. Recently we went to a detailer to get the car protected. we are not detail savvy. We wash cars and that is pretty much the extent. The amount of overspray on this vehicle that our detailer showed us is insane. They must have not taped anything off. It cost us significant money to get all the overspray off of the vehicle paint. The other thing he noticed is when we opened the door on the side that got the work done on it. There are areas that have bare metal on the seam. This is not visible from the outside of the car. It's only visible when you open the door. Our detailer also noticed that the side that had the work done after a sideswipe accident the very bottom side skirt has a blemish still in it. This is obviously something that was missed by the shop. The work did come with a lifetime guarantee and I'm sure the shop did take photos of the areas that needed to be worked on and we could bring it back. But after spending several thousand dollars in removing overspray, I am extremely reluctant to have them touch the car again. So, while our needs for a body shop are very rare I will not be taking any cars there in the future if they need work. If this is a car we cared about we would probably not use caliber. I'm sure this car will get beat up once my child starts driving so it's not a major issue for us but attention to detail is something that is important to us, and based off of our experience with, what we are dealing with we would probably not recommend going there if you are a person that cares. read more

Caliber cracked my windshield and refuse to replace it. They promised they would use only oem parts, and keep me updated. They rarely updated me with the car for nearly 2 months, cracked my windshield from the bottom center, it even says in the statement they had removed it during repairs. there's no rock chips anywhere and they're claiming it's unrelated. Terrible service, unprofessional, bad communication and quality of work. Refusing to accept responsibility for everything they messed up. Do not go here! Fairfax collision center is 10 times better and on the same street. FCC will also stand by their work and make things right. Unlike this place. I brought my custom Rocky Ridge Silverado in because the back end needed to be replaced, and not only did they match the paint perfectly, but they made the truck look even better than new! Every step of the way I was informed via email, text, and by phone directly with information on delivery times and adjusted completion dates for each task. I've had several corvettes, and other high dollar cars but my truck is my favorite vehicle, and Caliber collision treated my truck as if it was their own! It was always covered inside a garage, with lots of attention to detail given at every point. I've dealt with many shops in my day, and this was definitely the best hassle-free experience I've ever had! The bed frame and external work was impeccable, with the paintwork just as beautiful! No lines, no bubbles... no defects of any kind in the bodywork or paint. They even re-lined the bed with Rhino lining at a local shop AND had it completely detailed! I'm not talking about a $45.00 wash and wax with the cheap stuff... this was a legitimate "full" detail. They even got the small crevice between the running boards and the carpet on the inside, and even got the built up crust underneath the raise/lower buttons for the window controls! They even coordinated a ride for me to/from the repair garage to my house - now THAT is service! I'd like to personally thank Omar for the outstanding work to the frame (excellent job my friend), Xiomara for being so informative every time I called (I sincerely appreciate your hard work and coordination with everything), Mark Rogers for the amazing detailing, and John Keryeski for providing a stellar and QUALITY product back to me! I had some self inflicted damage on my car and decided to take it in for an estimate before calling my insurance company. Am I glad I did! Tyler K. assisted me and gave me some great advice. I decided to have the repair made and I was very impressed not only with the quality of work but also with the continual updates and the professionalism from entire staff. With that being said they (Caliber) made rental car (pickup/drop off), keeping us in the loop on repairs amazingly easy. My car went in for repairs. They left my window open during a stormy weekend, and my leather seats and interior got wet. Also, they dented and scratched my car while in their possession. I requested to have new seats installed, but all I got was a detailing service and a Health inspection from the Lexus dealer. Manager did not listen to my request, I am the one at a loss here and don't feel like I was compensated adequately. After I got home I also noticed that one of my rims was damaged. Not a good experience! It;s confusing because there was another Caliber Collision at 14150 Williard Rd, Chantilly which had done work on my Hummer H3 and they did an excellent job, but the insurance took my car to the Pohanka Caliber Collision, which had changed it's name, and was up the street. I think Pohanka had changed it's name, I got several different explanations from the staff. The repair took some time but never was done properly. The original rep who was assigned to my case left or was fired after my initial pick up, so that made it more difficult to get things corrected. But he walked me through the repairs, radiator, front bumper, lights (which one was wrong), battery, all front end damage repairs. I pointed out that the battery wasn't replaced, because the battery wasn't in the front but under the back seat, which he didn't know! infant it was the same new battery that I'd installed a few weeks prior yet they billed it on the invoice! After leaving, I needed and inspection, which I took to G&C Tire because it was less than a block away. They found a few minor compartments that weren't completely reassembled or properly attached from the repair, so they fixed it for a few $. Later that day I discovered that the lower engine plate wasn't secured properly and was dragging on the street. I took it back to Collision and they set me an appointment. Upon further inspection I discovered that many of the plugs that secure the radiator cover plates were missing as well, along with a rubber engine mount that was cracked on the same side as the accident yet they claimed was unrelated! After returning several times, each time a new rep, who wanted me to make an appointment I gave up and vowed never to return. After not completing the repairs successfully the first time you would think that customer satisfaction would have been a priority at that point! Please don't confuse the two different repair shops! Their work and service is totally different! read more

Worst business I have dealt with in years. Dishonest business dealings, poor customer service and poor quality work. DO NOT bring your vehicle here! Gave us a good estimate at the 14500 Willard location then when we brought it in for the repairs they sent us to 14000 Willard because they were too busy. This location took parts off the vehicle and then raised the estimate 40% ($1200) even though they did not find more damage. They wouldn't give us our vehicle back unless we paid the $250. The manager lowered the price by $200 and my wife felt like she had no choice but to go along since they were holding the vehicle hostage. When we got the vehicle back not all the work was done, there was a bad spot in the paint, the hood was poorly aligned and they didn't even wash the paint dust off of it! read more

I received regular updates on the progress of the repairs and the initial time frame quoted was spot on. My front driver side quarter (and much more) needed to be replaced and my biggest concern was that they would not be able to match the color of the rest of the car and I would have to drive around with two-tone car but they matched the color perfectly, absolutely perfectly! Believe all these recent 1 star reviews!! You will probably do better at any other body shop than here. When I went to pick up the car, almost half of the work that was done wasn't done correctly. A piece of molding just fell off when I touched it lightly. Color of paint was so off you can even spot the repaired area from far far away. Got my car towed over here after a wreck. Got it fixed by them. But a couple months later I took my same car in for service at POHANKA LEXUS and they said the parts that were put in my 2015 lexus were AFTER MARKET. So manufacturer warranty does NOT apply !!!! Which means I am stuck with them for any future repairs for those parts. I talked to the manager at CALIBER and he said yes we replaced it with after market part and there NOTHING he can do about it. So people go at your own risk or check with your Insurance. Mine is MetLife and as per CALIBER collision that's Metlife's policy to replace with after market parts . BEWARE !!! read more

Aundria and Zach kept in touch and the shop finished repairs ahead of schedule! My wife was very impressed and said the car looked better than when we bought it. WOW! During my first visit to Caliber after a fender bender, I loved everything and they treated me well. However, this second visit really impressed me. I needed a new car mirror but am only 22, so a rental car was not practical. I went in on Tuesday afternoon and my part was ordered, delivered, painted, and replaced by Friday afternoon. They were able to do everything before I got in and had me come in on Friday for 30 minutes while they removed the old mirror and replaced the new one. It was incredibly quick and amazing service. Each time I called the office, the staff knew who I was and connected me to the service advisor I was working with super quickly. I do want to give a specific shout out to Mike Ashcraft, who went above and beyond to help me. The best part is, they acted like this was totally no big deal!!! We got referred to Caliber Collision by our Lexus dealer, for getting the left front fender replaced, as well as part of the left side mirror. Darnell Jackson was our service advisor, and he went out of his way to make things happen smoothly, quickly, and at a competitive price! We dropped the car of on a Monday, and on Friday kept calling Darnell to see if we could get it that evening only (given that we had rented a car from the Enterprise stand at Caliber). Darnell kept giving us updates throughout the day, and in the end stayed longer at the shop (we reached around 7.30 pm), and then still proceeded to wash the car. Darnell is friendly and flexible, and I would definitely take our car back to him! The parts for the Lexus were bloody expensive, but that is not something Caliber can do much about. read more

There lack of detail is astronomically impressive. I was in a front-end collision and brought my car to Caliber at the recommendation of my insurance company. I dropped off the car they did the quote and the timeframe. The quote was almost $7,000 off and the timeframe off by 2 weeks. I went to pick up the car knowing I would have to pay the deductible, the staff informed me that I did not know owe anything. I questioned this and they confirmed that I didn't owe anything. Untill.... I was on my way out the door and they called me back because I did in fact owe the deductible. I was in a hurry and left without thoroughly inspecting the work. I got home and noticed 2 small paint flaws. I wasn't concerned and decided to leave it as is. I found some trash that the staff left in the trunk that appeared to be the protective cover from the new parts they ordered. A week later I was driving home and my car overheated, a quick look under the hood and there was coolant everywhere. I get it back to Caliber and they agree to fix the radiator issue and the two paint flaws. I get a call to pick it back up and... the radiator issue was them failing to correctly put the radiator cap back on. They also only fixed one of the pain flaws. I had to wait for them to fix the second. When I got back in the car I found that they left a tool in the passenger seat and had to go in once more to return it. The staff is friendly but I have no idea how they manage to miss so many details and retain there jobs. read more
