I was incredibly outraged by the lack of integrity of their work and being brazenly lied to that I wrote my first review (see below). Now that I am calm enough to recount the experience, I think others would benefit from our cautionary tale: We were in an auto accident last year and took our vehicle to Church Brothers because they had previously done some body work on one of our other cars and we had been satisfied. Plus, they are Honda certified mechanics (although that no longer means anything to me). So we took our 2-month old SUV to them after we had been hit on the front passenger side. The work was done quickly and we went to pick it up 6 days later. We didn't accept the work because the hood was crooked and wasn't matching up with where it should have attached to the body. So they saw the problem and agreed to re-do the work. 5 days later, we picked the SUV up and everything seemed fine. A few days later, we were driving down the highway and the window fell down and got stuck in the door. It was terrifying! But moreover, when we took it to the dealer (it was the closest auto place), they showed us that the window was lacking the VIN info and was not an original. The window wasn't broken in the accident, so we confronted Church Brothers. They lied and claimed that the window came in broken. It did not and their own estimates and final paperwork did not list the window as being replaced. Eventually they admitted that they had broken the window and replaced it... but they used an aftermarket part that did not fit in the track AND had tried to hide it initially. Because the window did not fit correctly, it was only a matter of time before the shoddy work failed. The lack of integrity is what we found so incredibly upsetting. In addition, they refused to take financial responsibility for their mistake and were extremely defensive about 'sometimes these things happen'. I agree that accidents and mistakes happen but it is terribly unethical to violate the trust of customers by hiding mistakes and then refusing to take responsibility when they are uncovered. We ended up paying the dealer to replace the window with a factory window so that it would sit in the track correctly and actually function. STAY AWAY! They cannot be trusted!! read more

Due to a minor fender issue my husband had I found I was in need of a repair shop. I have State Farm Insurance and they recommended this company along with a couple of others. I was so impressed with their attentiveness that I just went with them. They were able to see where my insurance company had suggested them and they took care of everything. They even provided me with the info on getting a rental car from Enterprise, which is only a couple of blocks away. My car was only in the shop a couple of days, as promised, and it looks as good as new. Needless to say, I totally love a company that does what it says, is on time and provides great customer service. read more

It is a little sad to say I have had to visit this shop twice this year, because who wants to have to deal with car problems? The good news is Church Brothers really does try and make it as easy of process as possible. First, the front desk staff is wonderful! Prompt and helpful on the phone and always willing to answer questions and provide solutions and alternatives. They put up with my chatty self and really took work out of my hands. They are great at coordinating rental cars and seem to have a really good relationship with some of the local companies. As for the repairs, all of the repair workers I have talked to were friendly and honest with my about my car and what to expect. The first visit I got my bumper fixed up from a minor accident and it looked great and was done in the time they quoted me. They also didn't mind when I told them I was opting to not repair the hail damage that had happened to my car that same week. The second time I had to visit, I found out from their assessment that my car was totaled after being hit from behind. They didn't try and fix a car that shouldn't be fixed and were very helpful in the whole process including helping get stuck jumper cables out of my trunk and working with my insurance. I hope that 2014 holds less car problems for me but at least I know I have them around should I need it. read more

I brought my car here after an accident that warranted my vehicle undriveable for the forseeable future. Being in an overwhelming and stressful situation, I relied not only on my insurance company, but the (few) reviews on Yelp. The staff here are extremely friendly, and they keep a seemingly clean location. After having two doors fixed, I received my car back in perfect condition. They had done a beautiful job of painting and had completely detailed the car (bonus!). The "new car smell", in fact, is so strong I think it gets me slightly high off the fumes. There are two reasons I chose not to give Church Brothers a better rating: 1. After an initial 8-day quote with multiple updates, they called me the day before I was set to pick my car up and pushed it back an entire week. That meant another week of being holed away in my house, relying on the kindness of others to get me around. 2. During check-in, I signed up to receive updates via phone twice per week. The last three "updates" I received during the three-week period were all the same: they were painting my car. Again? The damage had not been catastrophic, and I half-expected to get my car back and find it to be a completely different color. In my opinion, I feel like these guys may have pushed me to the side, as I was an insurance claim and they weren't collecting directly from me. All in all, these guys did a fantastic job with the work on my car. But in the event that something like this should ever happen again, I will do a little further research on who I choose to go with. read more

My family always uses Church Brothers when we have body work. When my Aunt's van was in a minor accident this is the first place we called. I was annoyed it was 2 weeks before they could get the van in, but it was drive-able and I know they are busy since they are the best. The van was at the shop 5 days. It was very easy to drop it off the Sunday night. We had been given the paperwork and used the lock box to drop our key. They called often with updates they handled all the insurance calls and when the van needed work on the sensors they got it worked out with Andy Mohr to get it to them. We were able to get it back over the weekend and drop it off Monday and the dealer had it 4 more days. They continued to update us and everything was great. One issue is they aren't open on weekends. So when it looked like the dealer was running into late Friday it was going to be Monday. But they were able to get all the paperwork done and we were able to get it Saturday so it really saved the day. 2 weeks without your vehicle is a long time. So a kind of major issue that took the rating from 5 stars to 3 is that when I picked up the van I was the only passenger. Then when later that day when when we had passengers we noticed that the passenger side airbag wasn't on. So that's not good. I called the dealer first thinking we could just push a button, but they had me call Church Brothers. Church Brothers told me to call the dealer. Um, I did that. The dealer said we weren't the customer. So we took it to Church Brothers who said the dealer needed to call our insurance company and get the paperwork through before it could be fixed. Finally we talked to Andy Mohr again and they asked if the van had been in an accident, which it had, and they said it just needed to be re-set. So Andy Mohr saved the day by doing it. Without having to charge the insurance company and with no paperwork. I was just super annoyed that in the 9 days it was in the shop no one thought to check the airbags. So as beautiful a job as they did it all came down to no one thought to make sure it was safe to ride in?? Someone has to sit in that passenger seat to make sure it's on. It just left us really annoyed. read more

Someone backed into my car and through their insurance company I was sent here. They did a great job, receptionists are very friendly.

We recently had our SUV repaired at their Avon location and if you're considering using this shop for a collision repair, think twice. While they're very friendly and fairly organized, their paint work needs some help. The rear bumper cover they replaced and painted has orange peel to it. The hood they "repaired" instead of replacing doesn't line up right and has paint issues. To make matters worse, when we picked our vehicle up, it had a deep scratch on the passenger rear door that happened while the vehicle was in their possession. They agreed to fix the scratch at their expense, and ended up re-spraying the door. However, in the process they left over-spray in the door jambs and on bottom trim. If you want your paint work done right, find another shop. read more

The customer service and workmanship leave a lot to be desired. I dropped my car off to have a lower spoiler replace and a bumper refinished. Upon being notified it was ready I arrived only to be extremely disappointed. The gentleman helping immediately got defensive and starting trying to justify why the work was so bad. He even went as far to claim that fresh over spray on the car "was already there". The paint work is bad and the service is even worse. I will not be referring anyone to this location. read more

I would not recommend going to this place for auto work. Took my car in for an estimate and they took it apart gave me my estimate so then I decided to take my car to another shop to get a second estimate... at this point they told me it would be $90 to put my bumper back on... I told them no I'm not paying because it was just supposed to be an estimate. Then I wanted to take my car and I had to wait an extra day because my bumper and license plate where already at the salvage yard... don't know how they ended up there when it was supposed to be just an estimate. Now getting my car back with the bumper folded in the back seat because they refused to put back together what they took apart. I noticed the trunk button is pushed completely through the dash.. probably because the trunk won't open due to the crash.. just shove it harder right? If you want to be treated fairly as a customer I would avoid this place. read more
