Edit of prior review:
As I explained in my initial review, I purchased a Groupon for brake repair at Neuwell. One day after my brake repair at Neuwell, I heard continued squeaking and squealing from my brakes. I figured since they were just repaired by Neuwell that the noises would subside over time. The noises continued over time. I let Brandon know about the noises and he told me to bring my car back in so he could look at it. About 2 months pass with the noises continuing. In May my brakes groaned, squeaked, and squealed 10 times worse that in March. The brakes almost completely failed on my way back home from work. Thankfully I didn't have anyone else in the car. I told Brandon he has to inspect the car ASAP. He inspected the car and told me I had a caliper fail and a hose/line also needed to be replaced. The first major issue lies therein: why weren't my brakes given a proper inspection/eye-balling when my car was in for brake replacement the first time??? Brandon stated he doesn't look at any other parts when replacing other parts and he stands by that. Unfortunately for consumers, that's just not good enough. Period. We as patrons expect that when we pay hundreds of dollars on a repair for brakes, or ANY other part for that matter, that a basis eyeball test or rudimentary inspection will be done on the adjacent systems under repair. Let's use another auto example--if I took my car to have ONE belt replaced, let's say the timing belt, then I truly hope that the shop performing the repair will indeed look at or eyeball my other belts like the serpentine belt or the fan belt. Make sense? Beyond that, Brandon's rationale opens himself up to major liability. If, let's say, my brakes failed and I was killed in a car crash and my family's lawyer discovered that my brakes had been recently replaced by Brandon, said lawyer could find him liable for negligence under the same laws in America where a bar owner can be sued if a drunk person who is over-served at a bar, leaves a bar and kills someone on the road. Same legal premise of negligence.
Brandon's statement is excusable, indefensible from a customer service standpoint, and it puts him at legal risk. Beyond the above, Brandon also revealed that he uses the "cheapest brake set Autozone makes" but he told me my car required brakes that were more expensive. Number 1, if my car required the more expensive brakes then why are we talking about the cheap squealing pads you normally use? Doesn't make sense to me. Number 2, why aren't consumers told that the Groupon brake job means you're getting the "cheapest" parts? That should be disclosed. By the way, after the second repair, my brakes STILL FRIGGIN' SQUEAL!!!!!!! So after $700+ dollars and two repair visits my brakes squeal at every application now, there appears to be an incongruity in Brandon's statements about why my brakes squeak, and I'm not a happy customer. I don't think I'll be going back to Neuwell.

I tentatively decided to use Neuwell Auto for service, solely on the strength of these Google reviews. Immediately prior to going to Neuwell, I recently had paid a huge amount for basic, preventative maintenance at a dealership and regretted it. I figured I should have priced out the $1,400 dollars of services I received at the dealership at other places. That regret caused me to try Neuwell. read more
