This has been a nightmare of an experience since January of this year! As of March 4, the issue is still not resolved. I brought my 2011 Chevy Colorado truck in due to intermittent problems with it starting. Left the truck at Rick's for a week and it was diagnosed that the starter was bad. The day after picking it up on Jan 22, it repeated the initial problem of not starting. Took truck back to Rick's and they said they could not get it to repeat so picked it up and took it home. Within the next 1-2 days, truck did the same thing again that it had done initially before taking it to Rick's. Rick's tech came to the home and truck started but was taken back to Rick's shop to investigate problem. Again, they could not get it to repeat so I picked it back up again and brought it home. The next day or two, it would not start again in my driveway, Rick's sent a tech back to the home and it would not start for the tech this time. They had it towed to Rick's and they had it for two weeks before calling with a different diagnosis and asking for me to pay for fixing the problem that was misdiagnosed initially. After having already paid almost $1500 for fixing the problem that was misdiagnosed, I was asked for an additional $900+!! This is ridiculous and the phone call from Mark was very unprofessional as he used profanity when I told him I was not satisfied at this point and was not going to pay any additional money for the misdiagnosis. The truck is doing the same thing it did when we contacted Rick's initially, and I was told the problem was one thing and now it's something else. It is unfortunate that obviously the problem was misdiagnosed, and I paid for nothing. I am back to square one with my truck. This problem was complex, but this is not over for Rick's. Update: it's been a couple months since the repair but the radiator had to be replaced under warranty. It lasted only 6 months. Ricks did the paperwork to get the replacement but where it broke down I had to have the work done elsewhere. read more

Figured out a problem with our car when another repair shop couldn't. Did on line research for a tricky problem finally diagnosed it as smaller oil filter installed than needed. So my wife calls me while I'm at work. She's in a panic because our SUV is dinging, the battery indicator is buried on low, the battery light is apparently flashing, and the ABS light is blinking, too. I talk her through getting the car home, which thankfully she did without incident. After work, I pulled the battery and took it over to AutoZone for a test. Seemed like it was holding a charge, so that left me assuming the alternator was shot. The next morning I tried to get the car over to our usual mechanic all the way in Fishers, but the car wasn't having it. Since I live right next to Watson's, I decided to give Rick's a try. First off, the staff at Rick's were great. I called in a total frazzle to make sure they were open and could get the car in. Despite me babbling what I'm sure was mostly panicked gibberish, they were attentive and happy to help. Once I got the car in, Rick himself was quick to diagnose the alternator and amazingly had it replaced before the morning was out. The price was completely fair for the work done, and now the car's running great again. Good customer service, solid repair work, quick turn around, and a fair price. I bought my 2017 Nissan Rogue to Ricks Service Center back in June 2023. I was having a issue with my vehicle running hot while the vehicle was idling. My vehicle was towed to the shop and I followed behind in a Uber. I spoke with one of the owners short brunette hair and explained to him what I've been experiencing with my vehicle running hot while I filing or in park. I did let him know that my check engine light was on at the time and I wasn't for sure exactly what was wrong with it at the time I believe diagnostic testing should be done. My vehicle had been left at the shop for a week getting repairs done. I got a call the following Tuesday advising me the thermostat on the vehicle . was never told at t did not test it so I agreed to the work being done. That Friday I took a Uber to the shop and ask if the repairs were done and if my vehicle was ready for me to take home. The guy looked like he had been working on the vehicles he was the only person there. He printed off my paperwork I paid him he gave me my keys told me I was good to go. A few days of driving the vehicle and letting it run the vehicle started to overheat again. I called the repair shop and left several voicemails I never got a call back. I work a lot of hours so I don't have time to bring my vehicle to the shop during the week my Nissan is my primary source of transportation. I went in today since I was on vacation explained to them how I had been calling and leaving voicemails. The owner agreed he hadn't been answering the calls. I told him I was still having the same issue and didn't understand why when I paid for a diagnostic test. The owner said to me that the repair I needed didn't need tested it was more mechanical. I told him my check engine light was in at the time and we agreed to have it tested. I tried to explain that if it was tested as we agreed me having the same issues could've been avoided. The owner got mad start raising his voice stating I'm accusing him of not doing the work and called me a bitch!!!! He told me to get out of his shop and shut the hell up. I told him he was unprofessional and rude and customers shouldn't be treated like that when they spend their money. His brother who is part owner came to my car and I thought he was trying to diffuse the issue however he goes on to explain that he's not making excuses for his brother and he's going through something at this time lol! I explained that has nothing to do with me and he had no right to call me a bitch and treat me like that. I know this review was long but this was truly my experience today. I would highly recommend especially if you are a women to go somewhere else bcuz you will be disrespected disappointed and out of money!!! I am new to the area but I was given the recommendation of this place, my car had to be towed there. They told me with the tow & work that was needed $1600. I rented a flatbed and took it 45 min away to a friend. The pin that broke had been replaced & it didn't need bearing & axle that Rick's said it needed. Just horrible that a business would lie but they did. Glad my son thought of renting a trailer & taking it somewhere else. read more

My family and I just moved down the street from Rick's mid-September. We had always just taken both the vehicles to the dealer in Fishers for maintenance. However, with 2 small kids and a service department that never has any convenient time slots in the near future (within the next few weeks, at least), on top of the dealership being a 40min drive, we decided to look for something else. My service engine soon light had come on and my front passenger side tire was flat again. I checked Yelp for nearby garages and found Rick's. The reviews were great and I could literally walk there in less than a half hour, so I scheduled service for the next day and gave Rick's a shot. SO glad I did! These guys take care of you! He preferred that I drop my van off first thing in the morning and offered to give me a ride home so I didn't have to sit there all day. I've NEVER heard or experienced that before! I didn't have to miss work like I would have at the dealership. Also, when he called to let me know what all they found, he broke EVERYTHING down about what was wrong, what each part would cost, how many of each part I'd need, and the labor cost for how long it would take. It also ended up being $100 less than that (one of the parts they thought they were going to have to replace ended up being just fine). I needed rack & pinion replaced I called and explained I was looking for an honest repair shop to do business with. I ask for a worst case scenario quote. They said it wouldn't be more than $ 1000.00. I was ok with that. I dropped my car off on Friday evening, they said if i did that they could get to it first thing on Tuesday, Monday was a holiday and I would have i back on Wednesday. I called Thursday And it had not even been looked at. Called back Friday and was told it would be next week before it would be done. When they finally got to it and I was able to pick it up, my bill was over $1600.00, So much for an honest repair shop to do business with. I definitely will not be going back . Rick was totally rude and actually screamed at me for going to another mechanic shop. He had to replace a part on my truck 3 times and told me if it happens again he will not honor the warranty on my car. He is the one that talked me into buying the part with the longer warranty then says he won't take care me. Also why did he keep putting the same part on my car when it has failed 3 times. No, they put the same part on and now its broken again but I wont go back because he scared me the last time yelling at me. Don't go to this place the man has no respect for women. read more

If you want good service don't go there. The owner screamed at me for getting a second opinion. I see why because what he told me was wrong wasn't wrong at all. Then I bought a part with a warranty it failed after two days they replaced it fine. Then it failed again got a little push back but still replaced it. Third time is the time Rick yelled at me and I was crying and he still said he wasn't going to warranty the parts but to bring it in he would think about it. I had him on speaker phone and that manager said he had never seen a shop yelling at someone for going to get a second opinion. The manager at the other store felt bad he gave me half price on the service I went to him for. So Rick ended up giving the warranty but he said last time he's replacing it. I guess my question is you see the part isn't working why do you keep putting a new one on expecting it to work and it doesn't and you get mad at me? While I was there the front office guy was still lecturing me about going somewhere else. What the heck I asked them to order a ford part so I didn't have to keep doing this he said no.
