We contacted Larry/317 mobile mechanics last week. He sent us the price and all the information. He told us it would be this Wednesday (May 1). Tuesday night, he asked if we could move it to Thursday, we said yes. Here we are noon on Thursday; no call, no show, no message, NOTHING! Multiple friends have even sent him a message trying to find why he was a no show. He even had us buy transmission fluid for the job, we did from Amazon (we are trying to return it) but they aren't being cooperative. Now he has missed a week of work waiting on Larry for him not to show up. Now more time missed to find someone else. SO UNPROFESSIONAL!! Why do people do people like this? DO NOT use this company!!
Update:
After 3 days of no call, no show, Larry messages saying he had personal stuff come up and he would make it right. He goes to the house (not my house) 3 days later. He takes out the transmission (says it will be 1 day to take out, 3 days to rebuild WITH NEW PARTS and then a full day to put back in. It was agreed to allow him to do this. THEN he comes takes out the transmission, take it to SOMEONE else (which was never told to us - he stated he was doing it) to rebuild with USED parts, comes back almost TWO weeks later to put the transmission back in - using every excuse in the book why it's taken so long. He was suppose to come at 1pm to put it back in (after he said it would be a full day to put back in), doesn't show up until almost 4, again with every excuse in the book. Him and the person with the truck discussed the transmission was still slipping in 3rd gear. Larry tried to down play it. It wasn't fix - NEW parts were not used. He was already given 1000 dollars (without doing hardly anything - it was a down payment). He calls his dad because the rest of payment was not being paid until it was fixed correctly. His dad came and actually agreed that his son should not have taken any money and said he would have it fixed correctly. These guys tried to tow it to one of their FRIENDS shops so they could put a lien on the truck. NO! A second opinion was given by an actual Chevy dealership, they said USED parts were used and it was not done correctly. Then we take it to another transmission shop so it can be done correctly and spend more money. This shop also said it was done incorrectly. Larry refuses to refund the 1000 dollars and daddy threatens with getting his son a lawyer. DO NOT, use these people, his daddy, they are horrible people! Horrible business! Blocked on Facebook, blocked from making reviews, etc. They know they are wrong! There is lots of proof in black and white!! DO NOT hire these people!
Update:
5/21 - After actually getting the truck back from ANOTHER shop (that was awesome by the way) - the ONLY NEW part they put on the truck was a 200$ Torque converter. That is just unacceptable!!! Soooo.... We were charged 1000$ for a 200$ part!!! If you didn't do anything wrong, why are you blocking people from seeing what you did to us? Horrible people!! read more
