Combined with the…read moremagical combination of well prepared southern chicken, it certainly made the dinning experience among the best. I enjoy going there when it is less busy, such as I the afternoon. During that time, you might get a taster before finalizing the selection. I can't really go wrong with serving beers when the service provided is outstanding. All I have to say is that the beers is fresh, cold and with great varieties. The chicken comes hot and moist. Crispy and perfectly seasoned with cajun style. Ask for spices as that really spiced it up. I personally really missed the Popeye chicken brand when I used to live in Canada. However, given a long search for good deep fried chicken in Hong Kong; tried many Korean chicken places and the popeye in HK airport, none of them is comparable. Yet the Round House has something way better than Popeye. Luckily, the Korean hype in Hong Kong is attracting the crowds to the Korean fried chicken. Now this local gem would be serving people truly appreciate the lovely married combination of Beers and Chicken.

This place is absolutely worthy in Hong Kong. 24 taps, and a little variety. I hate IPAs, and as…read moreusual, that category is well covered. But they have stouts, and imperial stouts. Definitely recommend the 'shadows of the mind' farmhouse dark, I think it's from carbon brews (which the list as an HK brewery). It's great. I only drink dark, so this category I know. The imperial Is a little too sweet for me.

I finally visited this particular Hard Rock Cafe after my dad raves about the quality of their…read moreburgers and the atmosphere... I don't really agree with him with regards to the burger, but I do see why he likes the atmosphere- to a certain extent it may appeal to his younger days. I tried their bacon cheese burger and it came within a reasonable span of time, and while I cannot comment much on the quality, since it seemed pretty standard, they l can say that they offer very generous portions for both the burger and the fries. I appreciate the use of real cheddar and some moderately crispy bacon, but a higher quality burger patty would do their burger a world of good- it was really soft and mushy. The fries were well seasoned and crunchy, so that gave me the motivation to clean my plate after conquering the burger. As is evidenced in the presence of a souvenir shop, the Hard Rock Cafe should probably be looked at as a place that sells a lifestyle or experience. Considering the prices listed on menu items, it's hard to justify those in any other way.

After only 5 minutes waiting time they managed getting us a table with a nice view towards the stage. The staff inside was also very attentive and fast. The drinks arrived in no time. We went there for food, we wanted burger. The potion size is good - the burgers are big, presentation is nice and the ingredients seem to be fresh, including the salad on the burger. Two out the three burger two were good, nothing to complain. One burger for some reason was not so good. I think the chef got confused with grill on charcoal and grill to charcoal. Half of the burger was one big black crust with a burned taste. Beside this - as usual the place is a nice Bar / Restaurant to go

Western food! The…read moreflying pan has very reasonable prices, poor coffee, mediocre food, and good service. I ordered the salmon Benedict, Kenzie the pepper and onion Benedict. The eggs being over cooked, had a non runny yolk. I ordered sides of baked beans and corn grits which were both fine. Our plates came out with the sides switched up. Not a big deal. Not bad for a western breakfast in Hong Kong. Not great either. I've had better western breakfast in Shanghai, though you would think Hong Kong being the international hub it is, would have even higher standards for western foods. Eggs Benedict: 85HK. Unlimited coffee: 35HK. Using a restaurants own WiFi to post a 2 star review about them: Priceless.

I went with an Eggs Guacamole and a mango juice and I thought it was all pretty awesome overall. The food isn't overly expensive, you get fairly generous portions, and they definitely don't skimp on your free sides. The potatoes were a tad dry and I probably wouldn't go with them the next time around, but their grits aren't half bad. Hollandaise sauce is thick, yet runny, and the eggs were poached perfectly. The guacamole was offered in generous portions, and the only thing that I could possibly say they weren't generous with, in terms of portion size was my juice. That's fine though. I'll definitely be back to try a few other menu items.

Ok, first of all, I have to admit I was totally here for the HKD$38 happy hour deal. They have a…read morequite extended happy hours over weekdays, from 12pm to 9pm, and we were here at 6pm sharp. Branded as Korean American gastropub, surely I wanted to try both their drinks and food. The happy hours menu is off the chart - they had 27 different drinks including beer, wine, liquors, soju cocktails (and I'll explain why I know the count so precisely...). If you check in to Yelp you got a free popcorn chicken per table too, boom. Free stuff is always the best stuff, and the popcorn chicken was actually very good and we ended up ordering another dish. Now on a chill evening of the last day of the a long weekend, we shouldn't really be drinking too much. But then, when the first round of drinks arrived, we were kind of skeptical about the portion of soju actually added to the cocktails. We blamed that to the Appleju where the apple juice masking the taste of the alcohol. But when we ordered the Sparkling Citron and they were still kinda of more like mocktails than cocktails, we quite shamelessly asked the staff if they could put more soju/liquors in our next round of drinks. I know, it's only $38 after all... Back to the food. They were amazing. Kimichi fries was good, and from a person who actually doesn't like kimchi AT ALL, this compliment does carry a lot of weight. We tried also the spicy fried chicken wings (not spicy enough), the salt and pepper wings (VERY GOOD), cheesy kimchi sliders (good, and again from the mouth of someone who doesn't like kimchi). Three hours passed right in front of five of us, as if the time went quicker when you were sitting at the chillaxing front door table. The drinks got better (i.e. stronger) afterwards which was definitely a plus. One of our friends wanted to challenge to finish all the drinks on the happy hour menu but we only managed to go through the right half of it. But I wouldn't complain at all having 20 cocktails in total among five of us and still managed to get down to HKD$350 per person, including the food we had.

The chef is a homegrown Hongkie however has studied food in both LA and Seoul, so the fusion food that is served here really hits the spot for me as I have a similar mix. The highlights of the evening: CHICKEN WINGS! The wings are smothered full of flavor, cripsy, juicy and overall deliciousness. I just wish they had more of it! Check out Wings Monday which is only $5HKD per wing with every drink purchase. Bulgogi Sliders- also delicious. High in flavor and raw garlic and jalapenos make this tasty slider packed with a punch. I perfer even more heat with more chili, but that is easily solved by just asking for some extra jalapeno. Kimchi Grilled Cheese- so easy yet so satisfying. Grilled with two types of cheese and layered with kim chi, this really sings comfort food for me. You can add an assortment of things to the sandwich, including fried egg- perfect. I also got to try some of the special homemade Korean spicy sauce and Siracha mayo- delicious. The drinks- they have Soju infused cocktails that are sure to please. Chili Mango, Yuzu, Milkis are all quite unique. Want the whole bottle straight up? No problem- very reasonable in price. Soju not your thing? They have a regular wine, beer and cocktails list too. Chef tells me they will be having some cool happy hour deals too so stay tuned. Overall, love this small cozy space. I am a huge fan!

It otherwise had a very pleasant flavour profile. They also made a decent gin and tonic. I tried the Calamari, a Hawaiian and Supreme pizza, jalapeno cheddar fries and potato skins. The Calamari was good, crispy on the outside, and only slightly chewy on the inside, though the tzatziki that came with it was a bit too plain. It could've been more acidic, and had more cucumber, but otherwise it was a nice effort, considering how Greek yogurt is hard to come by in Hong Kong. I the Hawaiian and Supreme pizza are okay. The Supreme pizza had a strange bitterness to the crust, but the Hawaiian pizza was quite good, soft crust, flavourful toppings and stringy cheese. The jalapeno cheddar fries were crunchy, but the use of those individually vacuum packaged "cheddar" that they sell on at grocery stores and try to pass off as "cheese" really let the dish down. I mean sure, it's not a particularly expensive item, but people like their cheddar fries a bit gooey, not slimy. The potato skins were good, with just enough toppings to match the potatoes. They also used proper cheese cheddar cheese (strangely enough), so I was pleasantly surprised by it. I like how this location is much more spacious than their other Wan Chai locations, while still maintaining the same mid-range prices on drinks. Having brewed in-house craft beers is a huge plus for this place, but it seems that the brews just need to be polished a bit more before they can be truly great.

However, they've since moved to a bigger space so I'm ok with sharing my not so secret place. I've tried almost everything on the menu and basically everything there is good. The burgers though-they have burgers with chicken, which doesn't count but are still delicious. Why come to a burger place though and not order beef? The beef here is fresh and delicious and it's cooked medium rare-medium. I only eat burgers at that level if I trust the beef to be high quality. I always get the burger here at that level. Price wise, compared to what you can get at other burger places it's just...you can't compare. While other places have a quality burger you pay-what you get here for the price is ridiculous. If you think that's subjective then they have a set for 68 bucks carry out during lunch: burger, fries, drink.
