Altough it was not printed on the menu, you may request this with the waitstaff. The oil used to fry the tonkatsu, could of been hotter as it was on the greasy side. This was accompanied with a miso soup and steamed japanese rice. The quality of the rice was definitely not of good quality. This was a buzz kill as steamed rice is normally one of the highlights in most Asian cuisines. Secondly was the tempura soft shell crab, although most of the pieces where tasty, there was 2 pieces tasted like if was freezer burned. Lastly was the Dragon Roll which was a large prawn tempura wrapped in rice and topped off with tobiko and seaweed on the sides pf the roll. taste was good and would recommend to order this.

I mainly spoke in English because I was in Tsim Sha Tsui East, and because I don't want to look like a fool with my broken Cantonese. Anyway, that person spoke so softly. I couldn't hear much of what he says. When he spoke a wee bit louder, he mumbled more, and I still couldn't hear him. He called on for his coworker to assist him, and he was much more helpful. Thanks dude. Other than that, a good amount of people comes to this location. Many chairs and tables, but the restrooms are downstairs of the Toyo Mall. The last time I went, there were no toilet papers, so you obviously have to bring your own tissue. I don't recall elevators here... I've only seen stairs and escalators. I'm not 100% sure.

Super busy McDonalds…read more.. We ordered using one of the 3 touch screens available. We were looking for items we could only get in HK so I think the people waiting behind us were annoyed lol. I'm not sure how long we waited for our food, but there were at least 10 other orders ahead of ours so it was a while. Much longer wait than the ones in the US. We ordered a Corn Pie, Fries with Crab Seasoning, Milk Tea and Cookie McFlurry, and a Lemon Soda. Corn pie was a-okay.. nothing special. The fries were identical to US fries, but I was digging the seasoning. No need for ketchup with seasoning. You do have to pay extra for it and it comes in a separate package so you can determine how much seasoning the fries need. I never order McFlurries in the States, but when I saw it was milk tea flavor I couldn't resist. It was delicious! Flavors were spot on. The lemon soda was pretty good too. Refreshing. Very close to the Monster Building in Quarry Bay. Bathroom is located all the way in the back and outside of the McDonalds location.

This place is always packed. From what I've seen, every time I pass by the place it is almost a full house whether it is the early early morning (8am) or later in the evening so I can kind of understand not being able to seat 6 people immediately. However the situation was handled extremely poorly by their waitresses. THE SERVICE: First of all, one person from our party arrived early and asked for 6 seats and had stated we were willing to wait a bit since we understand 6 people is hard to seat together in such a busy and small restaurant. Fortunately, there were 6 available seats within a matter of minutes and so the one person from our party was told to be seated and was told that the other 5 seats were reserved for our party. Within a few minutes another group of people were seated in our seats that were reserved (keep in mind this was within a matter of a few minutes and wasn't like the seats were reserved with no shows for hours). Obviously this caused a huge commotion when the rest of the party arrived to our reserved seats being taken when we were promised we would be seated together. After all of this, we asked what happened and the waitress seemed annoyed and asked us to sit away from each other and obviously we refused since we had reserved the seats to be together and it was our last meal before my flight home. This caused a bit of an issue and we wanted to leave and find a different restaurant that would seat us properly, however the waitress became irritated and found us a new set of tables since people had coincidently just left. We finally sat down and decided to order, however, another waitress came to take our order and gave us attitude and grimaced at every single word we said to her. Maybe I was already put in a bad mood by the lousy service, but the noodles and beef were oddly greasy (as pictured) and not balanced at all. The beef tasted like it was not even seasoned one bit. I felt like the beef was cooked separately with 0 seasoning and plopped on top of the noodles and the grease just sank into the soup, making the entire dish just a messy attempt at satay beef and noodles. The eggs were also poorly cooked. The only good thing was the lemon tea I ordered. My other family members felt that the food was mediocre as well. I ABSOLUTELY HATE GIVING POOR REVIEWS and I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the blatant rudeness and attitude of the workers and the disappointment of the food was just awful. Honestly the city of Hong Kong is known for its amazing food and restaurants and I did not expect my first 2 star review to be in the city of such great food. I've been here twice now, and both times I've been really satisfied with my meal. The first time I had a spare ribs with hor fun with black bean sauce and cream of corn with fish over rice. The hor fun was perfectly stir fried, and I appreciated that there was a healthy portion of spare ribs. The fish was still crispy, even with the sauce on it. The second time I went was afternoon tea time so I had their BBQ pork with scrambled eggs and XO sauce over rice. I loved the extra kick that the XO sauce add, and the eggs were very silky smooth. We also got the beef chow fun which stir fried until it as perfectly dry but not too oily. It had a lot of "wok air", which implies the heat used to cute it was high enough. Lastly, we got the classic scrambled eggs with ham and toast. The eggs here were also light, fluffy and perfectly cooked. One of my favorite things about this place is the model of Hong Kong life! In a display case that spans one of the walls, you'll find what looks like a typical street in Hong Kong. It has the mini buses, taxis, people, short houses with clothes hanging outside. It's super cute! The inside is also decorated to look like a classic cha caan teng. Would I go out of my way to come to this place? Probably not, but if I were in Hung Hom it's definitely my top choice for Hong Kong style cafes.

The soup was tasty, but they had tiny stringy shards of chicken that messed with the texture a little. On the bright side, there are no lumps. The sole risotto was also very good. The sole was perfectly cooked- flaky and flavourful with a very light crust, and the rice could only be described as al dente. The crouton was a very strange choice, but I'll let it slide. I topped off my meal with a coffee. To be brutally honest, it's definitely best served cold. I ordered a hot coffee and their supplier could have done a better job of roasting the beans- the coffee tasted burnt. Overall, I think this place is worth a visit. It offers decent food at a reasonable price... just avoid ordering a hot coffee.

Best Steak House in Yuen Long…read more I have been coming to this place for 6 years. The owner Randy is one of the friendliest owners in Hong Kong. He spent some time in New York, that's why he named this restaurant New York Cafe. They just recently expanded into 2 units and added Seaport Bar n Grill. This place is not like any steak house in New Territories. It's own by a humble man who cares about his customers and gives you the food quality without charging you a fortune. That's really rare in Hong Kong. Furthermore, you really don't get a lot of good western food in New Territories, even harder in Yuen Long. Both steak and seafood here are imported. Amazing Australian Prime Rib, Boston Lobster, and huge Mussels. For dinner sets, 8 oz Beef Tenderloin, Cajun Chicken Pizza, Fish & Chips are just mouth watering good. You just can't get this kind of food quality from local chain like King of Steaks. They also have a great wine selection. The owner Randy is a big wine drinker and cigar smoker. You would see him hanging out with a few friends smoking cigar here around 9pm every night. The wine priced fairly and I am sure the owner hand picked them individually. This is a 5 star restaurant for the quality of food, service, and particular for this location (Yuen Long). You can of course find better steak and seafood restaurant in TST and Central that charge you $1000+ a person. For $150-300 a person, the food and service is way beyond its value. I have recommended all of my friends and family to come eat here. Everyone has only praises about his place. I will add more photos later.

I recommend you don't go there at 12-1pm since the whole shop will be crowded with people and they will not let anybody in. I ordered the "King of Devil" beef burger ($66) with French fries (additional $12) and a cup of coke(free), and my food came within 10 minutes. The fries are exceptionally good, crunchy and well flavoured with salt. Good quality potato was used in making these fries since you can really taste the rich potato flavour. Coming back to the burger it self, it was marvellous comparing to other burgers with the same price. You know the beef patty is using high quality beef at the first bite, and the party is cooked on point with medium rare. Accompany with the sauce (yellow mustard and lemon juice I guess?), fresh tomato and sprouts, the burger was in its very best. Dining here was a great experience, and the decoration of the shop was on point, very vintage. They said they will provide beer as well later next month after they get the license, so I'm looking forward to eat there again (Service charge is not required)
