Update November 2018 Came here for an afternoon treat with…read moremy sons. Much better than its predecessor, Jaspa's. We did not sample the food, but other diners looked happy. We had a banana smoothie and a chocolate milkshake. Both were hits with the boys, the only fault being that the smoothie was still a bit icy. I had a sugarless mojito: tart and refreshing. Good to see environmentally straws in use. Disappointing. We used to go to Jaspa's frequently when we lived in Sai Kung. Family friendly, simple reliable food, great service. Their junk is also a great venue. When looking to feed and entertain our young family, you couldn't beat Jaspa's. We visited the DBN Jaspa's on Easter Monday. The plaza was full of families: Easter holiday, and the start of the school Spring holidays. Jaspa's? All tables full, and every table a family with kids. "Where's the kids' menu?", I asked. "Kids' menu? Sorry, no kids' menu this weekend. It will be back from tomorrow... ". And no option to buy smaller size serves off the menu. I am not sure what thinking applied here, whether they were out to discourage family diners, or to force families to buy adult size dishes. Whatever the explanation, this was not the family friendly place we knew and loved. I hope that the prevalence of families at their tables might have sent the restaurant management a subtle reminder!

The food itself and selection variety was actually better than our high-end hotel food. The staff far exceeded my expectations and were extremely Accommodating. Before writing this review, I watched the staff interact with many customers (this was lunchtime on a busy sunny beautiful day). If you are first timers, relocating families, and/or just here, this is a great place for local information on subjects from A-to-Z, especially on housing and best ways to purchase goods of all varieties! This is like the best relocation service with extremely delicious food to boot! But you don't have to take my word for it, stop by and ask for Sanjay. The food was so good, I ate there several times.

It comes out on a tray and you pay for at the cashier. As with anything Disney, the food here is pricey. Most of their combo meals run about $20US. It' whatever entree you choose with a drink. The side order of wings were 3 for $6US. We ordered the Hawaiian Pizza Combo, Mickey Sushi and Maki Roll Combo, Curry Pork Chop Combo, and Curry Chicken and rice Combo. The food was good. The pizza was thin crust and crispy. It was loaded with toppings (tomatoes, green peppers, onions, pineapple, ham, and cheese) and shaped like Mickey's head. The Mickey Sushi was also shaped like a mouse head. It was sushi rice and tobiko. I liked the fried chicken wings the best. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. When you're done eating, you just leave it on the table. The workers will come around and clear it.

Most of the restaurants in Disneyland are not as good as decent restaurants restaurants in town. Coffee is included but any other drinks are extra. I strongly recommend this buffet if you come here on the weekend. (They're doing buffet on the weekends and holidays from 5:30pm).

For starters, they had a fairly big selection of items - salad bar, cold cuts, fried chicken, and international fare like masala lotus root with potato, carrot and cashew and pork floss salted egg yolk sauce with purple sweet potato. Nothing was particularly good, but I was glad to at least get some veggies in the salad bar. We both selected the beef noodle soup for our entree. I was a disappointed by the lackluster broth and the beef was not as tender as I had hoped. There were a ton of desserts with international flavors - Russian honey cake, Egyptian Earl Grey tea cheesecake). Normally I would have been excited to eat as many desserts as possible, but while they looked pretty, they failed to dazzle. At least there was fresh fruit an orange juice available. I just saw that the semi-buffet option is no longer being offered at lunch, only for dinner. At least the Explorer's Club is a nice place to sit and escape the hustle and bustle of the park.

For the star lines, one of the best clubs to be able to enjoy is Singapore's club. If flying Thai Air, it worth the super long walk to enjoy the food at this club. The offering at this club are solid: the club featured soup, salad, multiple entrees. They even had dim sum. Plus the club has a full bar where they were making martinis. What the club doesn't have is space and a view. The club gets super busy. Seating can be challenging. The club does not have any windows, so quite dark and biting to sit for long times. As the club is not super large, the bathroom amenities are minimal. The bathroom only had a few stalls. There are showers, which is great if you've been traveling for a while. Not there is a first class club next door which was quiet. Worth the stop for the food, not the views!

What quintessentially Hong Kong food would I eat? Delicious Cantonese noodles with dumplings? Roast duck, or maybe some roast pork with the skin perfectly crisped? No. Not unique enough. Instead, I would choose the most obvious candidate at Hong Kong International Airport. Popeye's. Popeye's, located on Level 7 in the Departures area, is a worldwide icon, and I couldn't pass on the opportunity despite literally hundreds if not thousands of locations in my home country. At a pricepoint of about $9 USD, the wings, cole slaw, pepper fries, and Coca-Cola was a steal compared to the gourmet Japanese ramen and Cantonese delights which would easily empty your pocketbooks. OK, who am I kidding? It's Popeye's. I was super hungry, and the line was like 1/100th of McDonald's. Don't worry, I ate some good Cantonese food later. Accepts most credit cards/HKD; they can speak English so don't worry; the food was great quality and less greasy than that of the States. And also, if you read this and ate here, definitely let me know because we are now together in this exclusive club.

Coming to the Wing this time, really impressed me. While it may not have much seating, its food choices have vastly improved. There are many different culinary areas with enticing food choices. Most significant, there is also a noodle bar, which is nothing short of spectacular. What is disappointing here is the bar. All the Spirit brands are low tier. If you can stomach that, the service her is exemplary. The staff is happy, accommodating, polite and friendly.
