Banana Cake, from the Coffee Loft.

Hong Kong, Hong Kong International Airport. November 2023. If you are flying Cathay Pacific or a OneWorld Alliance business class, then welcome to The Wing, Cathay Pacific's fabulous lounge near gates 1& 2. A long space with lots of light and views of the three story windows looking out on the gates. They say it gets overcrowded at times but this is a large lounge. The only minus is the lack of shower rooms - making The Wing Cathay Pacific's second best lounge, after The Pier. There is a small self serve buffet and beverage line to your immediate left. Go a little further and you'll find their signature Noodle Bar on the left. You can take your food and beverage anywhere in the lounge so I recommend you head to the Coffee Loft, all the way back on the right side. The Coffee Loft is the least crowded space and getting barista-made coffee w biscuits and pastries is a treat. Whatever you do, be sure to allot ample time to walk to your gate after you stuff yourself here.

I am grateful for Cathay Pacific lounges having showers especially after accessing the city during a long layover. It was such a humid day and having showers to look forward to before boarding a 15 hour flight to LAX is awesome. They have a noodle bar and just an okay food selection. There are 2 Cathay Pacific Lounges at the HKG. Make sure you access the closest one to your gate as it's a huge airport.

Nothing less than 5 stars for all the workers. From the girls at the front desk to the bartender, his manager, the waitresses and the women in the wash rooms, an incredible job well done. These people don't get enough compliments and tips for the job they are doing. I wish I could make a difference in everyone's life but I'm only one man. I wish you all the luck in the world and thank you again.. Carl, Ryan and especially Abby, young, beautiful and especially accommodating. I always prefer to pass through Hong Kong just because of the people I encounter here at the wing and pier.

Can't believe The Wing's last review was 2 years ago. This is an update as of 7/26/2022. Hope it's helpful for you all. I took my kids there and Cathay didn't disappoint! Same world class service. Food selection is a la cart instead of buffet style due to Covid. I ordered a cup of HK style milk tea, a plate of fruits, a bowl of wonton noodles and poached eggs. Food is fresh and delicious. The whole place is clean and well maintained. We spent a quick 30 minutes there and then head to our gate. Sadly, everything is closed at HKG except DutyFree for alcohol. Traveling is quite different nowadays, and we are grateful Cathay open up their beautiful lounge to us!

Awesome lounge with plenty of seating. Pretty good selection of food: hot food (vegetarian options and dim sum available!), cold dishes (sandwiches, wraps), and yummy noodles from the noodle bar (although my husband wasn't really impressed with the ramen, however I quite enjoyed the fish ball ho fan). Modern, well kept washrooms with Jurlique body lotion, cotton buds and make up pads available. Showers also available.

Oh my goodness, is this place for real? This is the only First Class airport lounge I've ever been to, and now everywhere else is going to look dingy compared to this spectacle. The Wing truly gives you a reason to come to HKG early (like even 5 hours early) to enjoy the amenities of a world class airport lounge. Their new restaurant "The Heaven" offers a wonderful buffet and dining area. The interior design is beautiful and the food selection is fantastic. Breakfast offers dim sum (the real winners here), congee, Western fair, cheese, fresh fruit, etc. During lunch, it switches over to more hearty dishes like roasted tilapia, BBQ pork, and more. You can also order chef specials and enjoy your meal with a nice glass of wine or champagne. Service is simply up there! After eating (and really, I wouldn't stop eating at this lounge), you can go relax in one of the cabana rooms. You can enjoy your own private space to bathe, shower, nap, or do work. You are given about 1.5 hours to soak it all in. I've never felt so privileged to be at an airport ever. There are wonderful sitting areas where you can also enjoy a refreshing beverage, do some business, and just relax. The Wing truly represents the exquisite service and nature of Cathay Pacific, and I hope I get the opportunity to return one day to enjoy this lounge once again.

plenty of seats, noddle bar and other options!

Great lounge with lots of space. Two floors with showers downstairs and workstations. Upstairs is a huge seating area with a buffet and bar. Don't miss the noddle bar, great little restaurant with side noddle options and big tables. Overall a great choice of you have a few hours to kill at this airport.

This is one of my favorite lounges that I've been to. Pros: 1. Very convenient if you are leaving from Gates 1-4. 2. Wide selection of food, including a hot noodle bar in the back. There is also a separate coffee bar with Haagen-Dazs ice cream available. 3. Very large space with lots of seating (and many different seating types). Cons: 1. Sometimes it is very crowded (although I've never been unable to get a seat).

One of my favorite airport lounges in the world, and one that I frequent the most, as a Marco Polo club member. Whenever I'm flying Cathay Pacific, no matter the gate number, whether it's number 1 or 66, I almost always come to The Wing. Why? Because of their noodle bar. I must have a bowl of their Dan Dan Mian. It's not too spicy or bland, and the peanut-y soup has the perfect consistency, not too watery or just plain sauce. The noodles were also clumped together, but not impossible to separate, and bouncy and chewy. Also, aside from the noodle bar, they also have a Western section. For breakfast - delicious scrambled eggs, sausages, mixed vegetables, and roasted potatoes, alongside fresh fruit, yogurt, fruit juices and coffee/tea.

The Wing is Cathay Pacific's lounge in the Hong Kong Airport. It is a great place to relax before a flight. There are several options for food. I ate at the sit down restaurant and ordered from the menu. The Dan Dan Mein (Shanghinese noodle soup) was delicious. There was also a buffet with charcuterie meats, cheeses, crackers, fresh fruit and an assortment of mini desserts. Outside the restaurant there is another buffet with other appetizers, fresh fruit juices and more mini desserts. There is also a coffee stand where you can get a specialty espresso or coffee beverage. Right next to it is a tea stand where you can get loose leaf Chinese tea. If you have time before your flight, make sure to check out this lounge!!

This was my first time going to the first class area of The Wing as I typically only go to the business class section, so I had high expectations for Cathay's premier lounge. I knew it would be a great experience as I saw the champagne bar as I just entered, but that was the only thing that excited me initially. The dining area was great (the duck was cooked perfectly), so I spent most of my time there as the other areas were a bit boring. I had heard the spa cabanas were the best part of the lounge, so I eventually made my way over to put my name down on the list. Luckily there was one available immediately, so I get escorted over to it and was politely told that I have the room for 1.5 hrs. I was confused why I needed so much time there, but then I realized this cabana has EVERYTHING. Rain fall shower? Check. Tub? Check. Sink with vanity mirrors? Check. Bed? Got that too. I was looking into all the closets to see if I was missing anything and actually stumbled across a separate bathroom in there too. So yeah, I turned on my Spotify playlist and relaxed there for the full 1.5 hrs. Definitely book this service as soon as you enter. If they started delivering the food to the cabana then I would have never left.

Its Noodle Bar and Long Bar actually made me a delicious bowl of Shrimp Noodle Soup and a very decent, dry Martini! :-) 01.12.15

HK Airport VIP Lounge for Cathay Pacific, Dragon Air. It's a solid 4Star for its friendly staff and a few unique features. This was the very first time my wife and I visited this lounge in Hong Kong. We were immediately impressed by the graciousness of the hostess welcoming us upon entrance, offering shower services, etc. BUT, when we got into the front part of the lounge, we were a bit disappointed by NOT SO PLUSH furnishing...! UNTIL.... After reading the nice tips by Yelpers Miriam W and Barry T, as well as the reviews by Hansel B and Barry T, I finally pulled myself up from my non-plush chair in the front lounge to check out its 1. unique PRIVATE Cabanas, charming Coffee Loft; 2. very nice Long (Alcohol) Bar; 3. the wonderful, large Noodle Bar. And it was a good thing that I did! The Noodle bar made me a delicious bowl of Shrimp noodle per order! They gave me a pager and informed me when the order was ready! The noodle had the right "chew"; the soup was delicious, and the shrimp was crunchy fresh! It could rival any top rated noodle shop. The Long Bar? It actually made a very decent dry vodka martini! See pics. :-) Thank you Barry and Miriam! So, for lack of a high-end feel of a luxury VIP lounge in the front part of the lounge, "The Wing" surely excels in its other features! I'd give it a 4Star rating. To earn its 5th star, I think, 1. Its beautiful and friendly front staff should tell us about the unique features in more detail; 2. Upgrade the furnishing of the front part of the lounge. Jan 12, 2015

Sad to say that over the past year and having flown out of hkia for personal travel, I'm disappointed at how poorly this lounge is being operated. Sure the food options are still one of the best but I find myself more times than not bussing my own dishes or someone else's in order to find a place to sit. Tons of flyers visit this lounge and as CX cuts its FF benefits for next year and forward, I've been actively searching for a better OW partner to bank my miles with.

Review for the business class lounge…read more This takes the cake for one of the best lounges I have ever experienced in my life; the showers here were absolute game changers for my 30+ hour journey and made feel like I was alive again. I used this lounge as two different hours in the day; once in the afternoon/evening and once in the morning. I honestly faced much less of a crowd in the morning with 0 wait for the showers. In the afternoon, they quoted me a 30-40 min wait but I was able to get in within 15 min. The shower suites are great with an individual toilet, shower, and necessary amenities including shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, a dental kit, hair tie, blow dryer. Honestly, amazing. Kept quite clean between travelers as well. Now on to the food, good lord there is a selection of food here between the western items, the barista, the bar, the noodle bar, and the tea room. I mostly frequented the noodle bar which I loved for having so many veg friendly options like the cucumber, the wood ear mushroom, and the tomato vermicelli noodles. I also grabbed some garlic eggplant and scallion noodles on the side. I wish I had tried the coffee station but honestly, they had hong kong milk tea in jugs and you know a girl couldn't resist. The tea room also had hot teas and egg tarts as well as some small sweeter bites. The staff was friendly, helpful even when there was a bit of language barrier at times. Really well maintained, peaceful lounge which helped me survive my journey and feel refreshed.

When we arrived at the Bridge, there were 2 escalators connecting the gate level with the lounge, one going down directly to it, the other going back up.  In the center was the reception area of the lounge where friendly staff welcomed us.  She told us that Chinese/Asian food was to our left, and western food to our right. The 3 of us turned left for Chinese food.  It was a long lounge and very crowded (I found that this was due to another CP lounge was closed for renovation).  There were sections of different seats, but most of them seemed to be filled.  When there seemed to be no further section, my husband asked a staff, and the answer was there was another section farther down, that's where we settled down.  There was decent Chinese food, including their signature Wonton Noodle Soup at the Noodle Bar.  I ordered at the bar, the cook gave me a buzzer, its red lights lit up when the noodle was ready for pick up.  It only took 2 minutes.  I had to transport the hot noodle back to my table, though.  I also picked up a few dim sum and several pieces of steamed rice rolls and added peanut sauce and sweet sauce to them (HK street food).  These were all pretty good.  I was going to get a bowl of congee as well, but was happy that I didn't.  If I did, I would have no room for the food that I actually loved! What made me crave were to be found from the other side of the reception area, where  I decided to explore the section with western food as well.  Long story short, the little bite sized cake and a mini twist pastry with fruit bits were surprisingly delicious.  I only took one of each and walked all the way back.  When I decided to go back for seconds, they had totally switched from breakfast items to lunch.  I picked up 2 savory appetizers and 2 mini lemon tartlets, one intended for my husband.  They were also very good, but the freshly baked mini pastry with crispy edges still lives rent free in my head weeks later! If I ever go to this lounge again, I will split my visit between the 2 sections.  First go to the Chinese wing, and then our entire group of 3 would go to the western section to have pastries and coffee, or other drinks from their bar. Since I have not tried their hot cooked food in the western wing, I could not comment on those. I should mention that all the staff there were very friendly and polite.  The whole place was modern and comfortable, and was kept very clean.  It was a nice lounge to relax and stretch before a flight, especially a long haul one.  I truly enjoyed my 2-hour visit there!

Grateful to have access again to this lounge on this trip to SE Asia. The staff are very attentive…read moreand I did enjoy the single serving beef bourguignon on this visit. And they have a nice selection whiskeys. Very relaxing stop to recharge before my flight. It was a positive lounge experience.

There's not many places to grab a drink or eat once you leave CityGate. Well, for that matter,…read morethere's not many decent places to have a drink or eat even in or near CityGate. But honestly, I don't think one would specifically trek outside of CityGate to come and find this place if you weren't en route on your way home. Well, because that is how Hubby and I literally stumbled upon it because we were on our way home and I remembered there was a 759 store nearby. I digress, the Tavern is located on the G/F of the Coastal Skyline. Once you leave CityGate you will start to pass an area with many real estate offices in a roundabout area. There are stairs or a ramp down to the ground floor. There on the GF you will find My Thai restaurant and the now relocated 759 store. Initially, we were going to nab a table outside the front entrance but decided upon sitting at the bar instead. The place had only a few afternoon guests enjoying the day both at the bar and outside. I think what caught my eye ...and the most important thing was their sign that read "happy hour until 10pm" Surprisingly, most HH don't usually they don't start until 3pm the earliest and while we were there around 4pm ...happy hour had started five hours earlier! The place feels like you are sitting in someone's basement, honestly, more like a real man cave. It has a small intimate bar with seating for 6? A nice, plush, booth/chair/table area with a checkerboard black and white tile floor and large screen TV's for catching the big game or any sporting event. The bar area is dimly light and the table areas are cozy yet not too romantic if you know what I mean. I guess having those big screens they wouldn't want to scare away those Manly men to come and hang out! Our bartender was quick and friendly. After our drinks were poured, he provided a nice little snacking dish of rice crackers, peanuts. I love when places give you little munchies...of course it makes me want to stay longer so I know they never mind refilling it! Lol! I believe at some point during our leisurely period, I struck up a small conversation with the manager who was talkative and friendly. Hubby and I both agreed we'd definitely come back not just for the drinks but also to try out some food menu items as well! I think it will become like Cheers to us soon! At least I hope they will remember my name! Ha!
