This is an excellent lounge and a great way to spend some time in Hong Kong airport. As I visited in the morning, all of the breakfast options looked actually delicious (which cannot be said for some other airline lounges out there). The team is very friendly and efficient which made the place an overall welcoming place to be. There are two main seating areas--at the time I visited, I found the seating area tucked away in the back and by the noodle bar and Asian food selections to be the less busy and quieter area. The place is clean and comfortable-I would look forward to my next visit! read more

If you travel on Cathay Pacific to Asia, you will most probably route via Hong Kong International Airport, their home base. As a business class traveler, with a layover, you will have access to 3 of their lounges. They are spread over 65 gates in Terminal 1. So it depends where your connection departure gate is. In my case, that meant that I should visit the Wing. I have been here a year ago, when I had an almost 12 hour layover and visited all the 3 lounges. Coming to the Wing this time, really impressed me. While it may not have much seating, its food choices have vastly improved. There are many different culinary areas with enticing food choices. Most significant, there is also a noodle bar, which is nothing short of spectacular. What is disappointing here is the bar. All the Spirit brands are low tier. If you can stomach that, the service her is exemplary. The staff is happy, accommodating, polite and friendly. read more

The Cathay Pacific lounges in HKG are amazing, each in their own way. The Wing's First Class Lounge has an amazing seated dining room with outstanding service. Been there a couple of times and each was amazing! This particular lounge, The Pier First Class Lounge offers massages for free! They have 3 styles to choose from (neck, feet and one other) and each are 15 mins long, which is great for the neck massage to help rejuvenate your neck before or after a 15 hour flight. This lounge also offers a seated restaurant experience and bars as well. They have quiet lounges and a shower area with plenty of nice, clean, fully-stocked rooms to shower in. Definitely enforces my feelings about Cathay's great customer service and offerings to their travelers. read more

If you are flying Cathay Pacific or a OneWorld Alliance business class, then welcome to The Wing, Cathay Pacific's fabulous lounge near gates 1& 2. A long space with lots of light and views of the three story windows looking out on the gates. They say it gets overcrowded at times but this is a large lounge. The only minus is the lack of shower rooms - making The Wing Cathay Pacific's second best lounge, after The Pier. There is a small self serve buffet and beverage line to your immediate left. Go a little further and you'll find their signature Noodle Bar on the left. You can take your food and beverage anywhere in the lounge so I recommend you head to the Coffee Loft, all the way back on the right side. The Coffee Loft is the least crowded space and getting barista-made coffee w biscuits and pastries is a treat. Whatever you do, be sure to allot ample time to walk to your gate after you stuff yourself here. read more

This First Class Lounge blew my mind. The Wing is the first left after clearing immigration and security and Cathay really set a new bar for the lounge experience here. The layout is long as it runs the length of one of the gate corridors (First Class extends into Biz Class). It's a mezzanine that overlooks the gates so the open air gives it much natural light. The first section is a Champagne cart with a selection that includes my fav Champagne. Next is the bar with a great selection, lots of seating throughout. As you quickly pass by a couple of business workstations there's a light buffet and so ends the outer walk. Turning into the inner channel from there is The Haven which is an interior-facing restaurant with very nice a la carte options. The crown jewel is The Cabanas, which are HUGE bathrooms and day beds for taking a shower or bath or simply getting some retreat from the bustle of the airport scene. Users are asked to limit themselves to 90 minutes of the oasis experience, and that's fair enough as there's a lot to experience here. A must-visit for any Oneworld top tier member flying out of HKG. read more

Can't believe The Wing's last review was 2 years ago. This is an update as of 7/26/2022. Hope it's helpful for you all. I took my kids there and Cathay didn't disappoint! Same world class service. Food selection is a la cart instead of buffet style due to Covid. I ordered a cup of HK style milk tea, a plate of fruits, a bowl of wonton noodles and poached eggs. Food is fresh and delicious. The whole place is clean and well maintained. We spent a quick 30 minutes there and then head to our gate. Sadly, everything is closed at HKG except DutyFree for alcohol. Traveling is quite different nowadays, and we are grateful Cathay open up their beautiful lounge to us! read more

As far as airport lounges go, this is one of the better ones. Service is good and I could hang out at their noodle bar all day! Sadly, it can get really crowded and finding a place to sit can be a challenge. Still, some of the other lounges I passed to get to this one had lines out the door. I was able to just walk into this one. Clean bathrooms and a coffee bar where they'll make an espresso drink for you if you don't want to wait in line at the auto-espresso machines in the other areas. I think they also have alcohol there, but I rarely drink before getting on a 10+ hour flight. Dan Dan noodles are a must. Try them at least once unless you've got a peanut allergy. read more

Oh my goodness, is this place for real? This is the only First Class airport lounge I've ever been to, and now everywhere else is going to look dingy compared to this spectacle. The Wing truly gives you a reason to come to HKG early (like even 5 hours early) to enjoy the amenities of a world class airport lounge. Their new restaurant "The Heaven" offers a wonderful buffet and dining area. The interior design is beautiful and the food selection is fantastic. Breakfast offers dim sum (the real winners here), congee, Western fair, cheese, fresh fruit, etc. During lunch, it switches over to more hearty dishes like roasted tilapia, BBQ pork, and more. You can also order chef specials and enjoy your meal with a nice glass of wine or champagne. Service is simply up there! After eating (and really, I wouldn't stop eating at this lounge), you can go relax in one of the cabana rooms. You can enjoy your own private space to bathe, shower, nap, or do work. You are given about 1.5 hours to soak it all in. I've never felt so privileged to be at an airport ever. There are wonderful sitting areas where you can also enjoy a refreshing beverage, do some business, and just relax. The Wing truly represents the exquisite service and nature of Cathay Pacific, and I hope I get the opportunity to return one day to enjoy this lounge once again. read more

One of my favorite airport lounges in the world, and one that I frequent the most, as a Marco Polo club member. Whenever I'm flying Cathay Pacific, no matter the gate number, whether it's number 1 or 66, I almost always come to The Wing. Why? Because of their noodle bar. I must have a bowl of their Dan Dan Mian. It's not too spicy or bland, and the peanut-y soup has the perfect consistency, not too watery or just plain sauce. The noodles were also clumped together, but not impossible to separate, and bouncy and chewy. Also, aside from the noodle bar, they also have a Western section. The Wing is Cathay Pacific's lounge in the Hong Kong Airport. It is a great place to relax before a flight. There are several options for food. I ate at the sit down restaurant and ordered from the menu. The Dan Dan Mein (Shanghinese noodle soup) was delicious. There was also a buffet with charcuterie meats, cheeses, crackers, fresh fruit and an assortment of mini desserts. Outside the restaurant there is another buffet with other appetizers, fresh fruit juices and more mini desserts. There is also a coffee stand where you can get a specialty espresso or coffee beverage. Right next to it is a tea stand where you can get loose leaf Chinese tea. This was my first time going to the first class area of The Wing as I typically only go to the business class section, so I had high expectations for Cathay's premier lounge. I knew it would be a great experience as I saw the champagne bar as I just entered, but that was the only thing that excited me initially. The dining area was great (the duck was cooked perfectly), so I spent most of my time there as the other areas were a bit boring. I had heard the spa cabanas were the best part of the lounge, so I eventually made my way over to put my name down on the list. Luckily there was one available immediately, so I get escorted over to it and was politely told that I have the room for 1.5 hrs. I was confused why I needed so much time there, but then I realized this cabana has EVERYTHING. Rain fall shower? Check. Tub? Check. Sink with vanity mirrors? Check. Bed? Got that too. I was looking into all the closets to see if I was missing anything and actually stumbled across a separate bathroom in there too. So yeah, I turned on my Spotify playlist and relaxed there for the full 1.5 hrs. Definitely book this service as soon as you enter. If they started delivering the food to the cabana then I would have never left. read more

The only bummer that comes to mind is having to spend the night in this airport, it's big and it's cold. Three hour layover is best but it's usually only 90 minutes. Not as great as Cathay's newly-renovated The Pier Lounge, but still pretty awesome. I'm a One World elite, so I travel through HKG a lot and The Wing is my go-to lounge when my flight is taking off from any of the nearby gates. The showers are heavenly and never crowded. I've never not gotten a shower room immediately upon arriving, and they don't rush you out of them, either. They use Aesop toiletries and will basically provide you with anything you need. After a shower, you can head upstairs to the noodle/dim sum bar. You'll have your choice of several delicious noodle dishes and some fresh dim sum options. They are also usually other food options laid out as a buffet. The pork buns are amazing - they are small, but you can order as many as you want! Once you've stuffed yourself full of noodles and buns, go down the hall to the coffee bar and have a coffee (or milk tea) and some dessert! Overall, the lounge is filled with attentive staff and lots of comfortable seating. It's a great place to spend a layover. I love Cathay lounges so much that to me they are even worth arriving to the airport early for! read more

HK Airport VIP Lounge for Cathay Pacific, Dragon Air. It's a solid 4Star for its friendly staff and a few unique features. This was the very first time my wife and I visited this lounge in Hong Kong. We were immediately impressed by the graciousness of the hostess welcoming us upon entrance, offering shower services, etc. BUT, when we got into the front part of the lounge, we were a bit disappointed by NOT SO PLUSH furnishing...! UNTIL.... After reading the nice tips by Yelpers Miriam W and Barry T, as well as the reviews by Hansel B and Barry T, I finally pulled myself up from my non-plush chair in the front lounge to check out its 1. unique PRIVATE Cabanas, charming Coffee Loft; 2. very nice Long (Alcohol) Bar; 3. the wonderful, large Noodle Bar. And it was a good thing that I did! The Noodle bar made me a delicious bowl of Shrimp noodle per order! They gave me a pager and informed me when the order was ready! The noodle had the right "chew"; the soup was delicious, and the shrimp was crunchy fresh! It could rival any top rated noodle shop. The Long Bar? It actually made a very decent dry vodka martini! Sure the food options are still one of the best but I find myself more times than not bussing my own dishes or someone else's in order to find a place to sit. As a One World member, I love HKIA because not only is there a Qantas lounge available, there are a total of 4 lounges (named The Wing, The Cabin, The Bridge, and The Pier) in Terminal 1. There is also an arrival lounge which is perfect for taking a shower when landing from an overnight flight which is handy if you can't get to your hotel right away and would like to freshen up a little. My favorite lounge is the Wing which has private cabana suites (like a mini hotel). I heard the Pier will have this as well soon. The food of choice to try is the signature dan dan noodles here. A favorite by every frequent flier ever, and also recommended by cathay pacific to try out. The only thing which some people may not like is that there are no flight announcements in the cathay lounges. But this is actually good because you can work in peace and quiet or even do a remote meeting. For the flight announcements, I just use the HKG mobile app which gives you a push notification when boarding starts (get ready to leave), gate changes, delays (yay more lounge time), and final calls (Ok, it's time to leave the lounge). read more

This is Cathay Pacific's Flagship lounge with very nice shower facilities and dining area. The food is very good and comparable to any of the good restaurants. Service is also very good. Whilst it is smaller than the BA First Class Lounge in London, I find the service and food here superior. Maybe the BA Concorde Lounge in London is better with table service and selection of meal plus a direct boarding to the plane. I always look forward to spending time in this lounge either when passing through Hong Kong or waiting to depart. Next to this First Class lounge is the Business section. Food is a little different. There is a noodle bar where you can order a variety of noodles cooked in front of you. Of course you can still order the same noodles from The Wing. read more

I have only being to the First Class side at night, and I think it was probably the best lounge I have ever being in. I didn't even go eat the food, this was just based on the bar, the reception and the showers. First of all this place looks amazing when you first walk in, they were really nice and friendly. The bar is nice, it was white marble, with couple of seats, they got the good stuff here, you won't except anything less from the First Class bar though. There are large-large windows to see the planes but since it was dark I didn't see a thing. After a long day in Hong Kong I figure a shower before the 12+ hour flight would do me good, and it did. The shower room is big enough for like 3 people to do PX90 in, the fixtures, and tiles were first class touches. The soap, shampoo, towels ,etc were top notch, the water pressure was dope too. Next time I m coming back with a couple of hours to spare so I can really sprawl out. read more

I give it a four stars as the ladies/agents at the entrance of the lounge were extremely rude and unpleasant to speak with. After a long flight of 14+ hours you really need to be pampered. With that said, once you are in the lounge, which is on the 2nd floor, service is very friendly and attentive. A good place to wait for your next flight. There is plenty to drink and eat. Such a spectacular First Class airport lounge! I can't rave enough about The Wing at Hong Kong International Airport. From the decor, ambiance and service to the food selections, amenities and R&R - they thought of everything and touched on every detail! All incredible! First Class tickets will allow you entrance to all areas of The Wing. Business Class tickets will only allow you in the Business Class area. The difference? Of course everything is a couple notches nicer in First Class but they do provide parallel amenities in both. But if you like to freshen up and shower before boarding, the First Class shower suite is hands down MUCH nicer! There's a soaking tub, a shower, a vanity sink area and also a nice lounging sofa. As for food, I usually just like hot tea and a hot soup or noodle bowl during travel. The selection has always been good and although taste is no 5-star restaurant, everything I've had has been pretty decent. The restaurant is nice but nothing beats the beautiful lounge areas. My favorite spot has always been the red leather couches by the booze bar - even though both my husband and I don't drink. Hong Kong International Airport is one of my favorite airports in the whole world. Maybe because it's a gigantic, never-ending shopping mall?! This was my first experience in a business class lounge at an international airport and boy, was this so much better than an American business/first class lounge! Cathay has been famous for their hospitality and their lounges, so I arrived at HKG much earlier than necessary to try out The Wing. Unfortunately I wasn't able to visit any of the other Cathay Lounges. The lounge was grand and luxurious with an awesome view of the scenery outside. The noodle selection at the bar was alright - the "ramen" I had was a bit lackluster and I didn't see a dan dan noodle option as the previous reviewer said (but I got it on the plane!). Pastries were stale. However, you have everything you would ever need at this lounge. For some reason all of the bathroom stalls were always occupied except for one single one the two times I went. I didn't see many ladies out there, so not sure what the deal with that was. The one stall was actually quite dirty as well... Kind of expected more from an otherwise classy lounge. All things aside, this was a nice place to chill before my 15 hour flight. read more

Truly awful customer service. I wanted to change a flight and when I went to the lounge, they said they had a service agent who could help. The service agent said because I booked an award ticket that she "can't" change my flight. Being a frequent flyer, I knew that wasn't true but decided to take her word for it. After I left and went to the gate, I decided to ask the gate agent who said he would switch me, but after he looked at the flight it had just filled up. This review is for Business Class only. The Wing is a fantastic airport lounge - clearly better than anything I've experienced in the US - but is not without its flaws. PROS: - Showering before an overnight flight is always the best way to start your trip. - The Wing offers lounges both downstairs and upstairs with a variety of seating areas and food types with the Coffee Loft (with tables good for couples and groups), the Noodle Bar (with barstool counters as well as shared picnic-type tables), as well as sofa seating and the C-shaped Solus chairs which offer privacy even while surrounded by other travelers. - The Noodle Bar serves good food - wonton noodles, ramen, udon - as well as dumplings, siu mai. The steamed BBQ pork buns were excellent - and even better than some of the ones I had in Hong Kong. - The upstairs portion of the lounge utilizes the airport's high ceilings and allows you to look down on the poor souls who are stuck flying economy. The open design takes away from some of the claustrophobia that can accompany a long wait for a flights. - The Wing is located right above Gates 1-3, so you should be close to the boarding area for most of the long haul Cathay flights. CONS: - A lot of long-haul flights leave around midnight and the upstairs portion of the lounge can get very crowded making it difficult to find a seat - let alone two together. - The gate/boarding announcements aren't always clear so make sure you pay attention to the TV monitors or ask one of the agents. - There are not power plugs at every seating area so you may need to look around to recharge. read more

Walk in here and you think "wow... Its tiny!" And downstairs is with a club-like feeling. Then you realise upstairs there's a noodle bar, a coffee loft and a 23-meter "long bar" and you see it's rather large. Food options are pretty good with hot and cold options ... But The Noodle Bar is where it's really at! Reluctantly declined noodles so as not to fill up, and settled for a sandwich and a Pina Colada instead. Absolutely love the Solus "pod chairs" Cathay designed. Very private and versatile. Thumbs-up for this lounge. Nice and quiet too when I was there. read more
