I was a little disappointed with the lounge given most Asian airport lounges are amazing and this is definitely not up to par with the others. It did its job offering a space for you to rest and a buffet which includes hot food items. I came in the early morning so was offered breakfast and found the selection to be minimal. I did not make use of the bar since it's so early in the morning (but they do offer alcohol) so decided to opt for tea with my breakfast. Unfortunately, the tea selection was next to none. You can choose between English breakfast, green tea or camomile and I found that depressing. The space is much smaller than expected and had mostly uncomfortable wire chairs and not a lot of loungers. The service however was impeccable. Everyone was friendly and courteous with a smile on their face. I probably won't return to this lounge next time I'm in HKG
One of the better Centurion Lounges I've visited. No made to order food but they keep their hot food bar well stocked. There's a line, as with many of the Centurion lounges, to get in during peak times, and a line for the food, but they do a good job of making sure you have a seat once you're admitted into the lounge. One of my favorite features here is their fridge filled with Movenpick ice cream (strawberry, vanilla and chocolate flavors) and they had the best airport coffee- ask the barista to make it for you instead of getting it from the machine. I also enjoyed their Chinese style soups. Bathroom is small but clean. And they have a few comfortable lounge chairs in the back.

Compared to the one in LGA and JFK, this one is kind of like "mish mosh" with uncomfortable wire seats... and some bench seating, still uncomfortable... Expected the bathroom to be a tad nicer. I mean... the bathrooms from the Delta Sky lounges are amazing... so why wouldn't Centurion have really nice bathrooms as well? The food selection was not very good. I mean, it does the job of feeding you, but didn't taste good. I did enjoy the fresh fruit tho. Bar is nice. Coffee station could be better... nicer cappuccino machine would be great. I love the citrus sparkling water from other centurion lounges... sadly this one does not have that offering. I've been to 3 of the Plaza Premium lounges here at HKG... and while smaller, their food is more on point. The staff are nice and welcoming. Check in process was smooth. We got the eligibility code, but was 30 mins early to the "3 hr" allowance, so was asked to come back. But at least they held our spots and didn't have to get a new code for entry. We went to the Priority lounge while we waited the 30 mins. Which is across from this lounge.
This is the first time I have used this lounge. The service and the food blew me away. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a group of front-desk staff, who made me comfortable. The other good thing about this lounge is that they will ensure you have a table before entering, which is a big plus. This helps me avoid waiting, and that is welcoming. The food that was offered at this lounge was delicious and had a lot of varieties. It has a tasty(花膠湯). Popcorn chicken, dim sum, and desserts. The location of this lounge allowed me to see the air stripe, which satisfies my childhood imagination.
The food in general is average, and the only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because of the Chinese herbal soup which was good and not so common in lounges. Kudos to American Express for offering a local soup in foreign countries. Service was also good as the receptionist called an attendant inside to find me a table while I was checking in so I didn't have to find my own table.
The Centurion Lounge in Dallas has spoiled me too much. This is the 3rd Centurion we have been to, and it's a shame to say it's last on our list. They do have a nice bar and decent food options. However, the seatings are not comfortable at all and very limited. Not sure if this has anything to do with the Centurion Card (Black Card) Access Lounge that's located inside here. If drinks and sweets are your priority, this is the lounge. They offer several different dessert bites. Also this is the only lounge we've been to that has the whole fresh honeycomb for you to get as much or as little as you want!!!! Since there are several lounges at this airport, and one another just right around the corner, we decided to make our way overthere for more comfortable seatings and also noodle soup! For now, Centurion Dallas continues to be my favorite!
I love this Centurion Lounge in HKG. Usually I hang out in one of the Plaza Premium Lounge when I fly out from HKG. But this Lounge is so much better. Less crowded. A full well stocked bar where they have a Asian Inspired cocktail menu or you can ask the bartender to mix you anything. Food selection is decent. Plenty of seating options. Compares to the Centurion Lounge I had been in North America, I found HKG is not as busy and with more food selection. I really can just spend a few hours and try out all the cocktails on the menu and just eat Har Gow with Chilli oil and be happy. Hopefully it would stay not too crowded next time when I route through HKG.
This is the only Centurion Lounge I've been to (so far) since my husband has the AmEx card. It's a great addition to the already amazing HKG, the only reasons I'm giving it a 4-stars is due to the UN-comfortable chairs. Some has cushion which are hard to come by, but the rest of the chairs are these metal ones with gaps. I can see they don't want you to get TOO comfy and stay too long. After you check-in, there are also 2 conference like rooms on your right before you get to the general public area. Sometimes I see family with small kids or businessmen doing work. I'm not sure if those if those are time based reservations, but I'm usually in the general area where the food are. Another reason for a star knocked off is their women's bathroom. The lights are too dim to put on make-up and there are only 3 stalls, so sometimes you have to wait. The lounge is near Gate 60. It is not that big but I love the big bright windows where you can see the runways. (Unlike the Priority Pass lounge at HKG by Gate 1-4) There are many kinds of hot tea bags, juices, sparkling water and a coffee/latte machine. I don't drink alcohol but there's a large bar with a bartender. Various salads, appetizers, soup, entrees, and plenty of Movenpick ice cream that's always refilled. Service is fast and they are always cleaning up your table.
The Centurion Lounge at HKG Terminal 1 is an open terrace like space that is sleek and modern. The bar holds fort in the middle and provides signature cocktails by Jim Meehan from PDT at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong. They also have wines handpicked by a renowned wine authority by the name of Anthony Giglio. For quick stop, the seating is sufficient but for a longer rest, they are lacking big comfy chairs. In the very few booth tables they have, there are electrical outlets. Food was okay but the Cathay business class lounge food is definitely superior. A variety of western and local food was provided. Service is friendly and they have people cleaning constantly. Overall I would give this lounge a 3.5.
The Centurion Lounge had took a step down. While I still appreciate its offerings, it feels like it used to be a slightly better lounge. Some cutbacks are definitely noticeable, especially with the absence of TWG tea and fewer quality food and plant-based options available compared to before. At times it feels like they are just winging it and see where we land. Pun intended. That said, the staff remains kind and helpful. Special thanks to the cleaning staff who managed the facilities who enhances the experience. The showers are fantastic. A refreshing break during travel. The L'Occitane amenities are a lovely touch. I also enjoyed the whimsy of having a non-alcoholic drink dedicated to Sir Charles Frosty Blue. American Express' apparent loyal watchdog in every lounge. It added a fun element to my visit. While there are some improvements needed, it still has its charm. It is still plane awesome in many ways. read more
This lounge although not very big does offer all the amenities as other centurion lounges. The items offered at the buffet were good but I felt more of a variety could've made it better. Upon entering the lounge I was met by a Centurion representative who escorted me to my table. Unlike other lounges where you're often left to find your own seat this was a welcome surprise. The lounge was clean and well kept and the tables were cleared upon each guests departure. The staff were very friendly and interacted with guests as they walked around. read more
This was our third lounge visited during the layovers we had in HKIA. I've never visited a Centurion Lounge before so one of group got us in as a Platinum AMEX cardholder. The entrance was the most impressive of the three. After checking us in, we were escorted to the back and then shown to an available table. Some of the other tables had reserved signs on them so I didn't know that one could do that in a lounge. Definitely a couple lounge firsts on this trip.. However,the ambiance was bit underwhelming and spacing seemed a bit tighter than the other two HKIA lounges. If I had to do some work while waiting for my next flight then I'd prefer the Chase Sapphire Lounge Having eaten earlier, I just cruised the buffet line and the food selection was fairly typical so I ended up passing. The bar was busy and looked well stocked. There also seems to be a good number of staff checking food levels and clearing tables regularly. read more

To be honest this Centurion lounge is pretty disappointing. It's definitely on the bottom half of the Centurion lounges. Not that there is anything particularly wrong with it. It's just not as nice as you would expect from a Centurion lounge. read more

Centurion Lounge officially opened on October 2. Just over a month old, this place is better than the United Club or the Silver Crest lounge in Hong Kong. I have been to a few premium lounges which you can access to using Amex Platinum card but this one is better I think because of the lack of riffraffs, fewer people means the facility is kept nice and clean and plenty of good seats and view. I liked the shower very much, though they did tell me that there was no blow dryer so I did not wash my hair. The buffet is okay, nothing to write home about, but I'm on a diet and I prefer less food and more space to sit around which this place has. It's on top of gate 60, and it's right next to a bunch of other lounges, and there is a Premium Lounge right across, I may pop on in to see if they carried bottled water to take onto the plane. One of the previously reviews did state that this place is nice but nothing to distinguish itself with the other lounges. I think there is some truth to that. The Dallas lounge has southwestern food and massage; the SFO one is good with their wine selection and gourmet Californian style food; the Vegas one is known for its cocktails, even the mini Seattle one has sort of high tech feel and health food kicks. I don't know what the theme is for the Hong Kong one. I was a bit disappointed by that. The food is hodgepodge of east vs. west but there isn't anything that screams that this is a Centurion Hong Kong lounge - which is a bit odd considering that's sort of their shtick in the States. I have been to the one in Mexico City which gives the same meh vibe when it comes to food, so I imagine that their international strategy is different than its domestic strategy. Regardless, I liked the open air atmosphere, and the password is the same as the rest of the lounges. They lent me a outlet plug which is helpful as I didn't bring a Hong Kong plug this time. There are plenty of bar seats with power outlets and USB ports. So from that perspective, this is quite the home away from home. For Americans, no matter what we do where we are, when abroad, we want something that reminds us of our home. This is one such oasis in Hong Kong. Highly recommend. read more

I've always heard great things about Centurion lounges, but only recently jumped the bandwagon of obtaining access. Thus far, I can only compare this to the Centurion Lounge at SFO. I think the food here (HKG) is better, but the drinks and seating arrangements are slightly better at the SFO lounge. However, the bathrooms are very clean and this lounge was half-full at most, so we definitely felt comfortable and relaxed while we waiting for our flight. We may have overindulged on the crab cakes, but no regrets! My alcohol tolerance has decreased to such a level that my face turned beet red after a few sips of champagne, and before I knew it, the bartender graciously placed a glass of water next to me. *_* Definitely a nice spot to get away from the airport hustle and bustle, and less crowded than the PP lounges! read more
This lounge is a great escape from the bustling airport and the other crowded priority lounge. I was here twice within the past two weeks and it wasn't crowded both times, with and ample amount of seatings. The food offerings were decent, nothing spectacular, and they didn't refill on certain things at times. However the mixed drinks are where they shine. I had the gin basil collins and my friend had the tea-quila highball. Both were great and the bartender does not skimp on the alcohol. The second visit, I asked for the gin basil collins but with whiskey. The bartender thought it would be weird but told me he'll improvised. It was delicious! It was like a whiskey sour with a hint of yuzu and herb. Yum! He even came by our table to inquire on the drink. The coffee are also great here as they use Lavazza coffee and has each espresso drink made to order. read more

Omg I love this lounge so I'm so sad to give this place one star. But... I have to. I ate something here and got extremely extremely sick... To make it worst, I had to get on a 15 hour flight back to Washington DC. I was shaking from my pain. I could not eat or drink anything on the flight. I was so ill that I couldn't even drink water. I was shaking on the flight. Im so sad to give this place one star, but I have to. read more
We were really excited to check this lounge out since the LAX location hasn't opened yet and had a 2 hour layover thru Hong Kong. Got there for the breakfast menu and was so incredibly disappointed by the selection choices. More than half the selection had pork, and you're out of luck if you have dietary restrictions. The customer service itself was great and location was convenient to get to in terminal one. read more

A nice lounge although seating is not as ample as one would like. For me as a single traveler it was fine, but if I were with a companion it would have been more difficult. Food selection was a great spread, refreshed constantly, and delicious taste. Better than any HKG restaurant. PLEASE note that if your flight is at one of the lower numbered gates, you *cannot take the train back to that area. You must walk as the train is one way only! Keep this in mind so you don't miss your flight! read more

This would be my first international Centurion Lounge experience. I must say I was really impressed with the layout. The lounge has several rooms that serve different purposes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing that was neglected was the variety of the food available. But overall it's much better than the local ones here read more
I'm glad to have the chance to check out the Centurion Lounge in the HKG airport. The lounge itself is not that big but they made use fo the space nicely. The food served was delicious and I really like the bar area. I prefer this lounge over the Cathay lounge as it's more intimate and exclusive. read more
Overall the Centurion Lounges are the best I've been to. It would be 5 stars if not for the lack of seat availability. Location: The lounge is near Gate 60. You can either take the tram one stop or you can walk the long hallway down the middle. When you get off the tram, you will see a big sign for Cathay's The Bridge lounge. The Amex lounge is basically above you. Head towards Gate 60 and you will see an escalator that takes you up to the area with all the lounges. About the lounge: Smaller than I expected but the nicest lounge I've visited in terms of quality. Everything looks high-end. My previous favorite lounge (Cathay's The Wing at HKG) is much larger and has a wider food menu, but the Centurion is more upscale and the food quality is superior. Seating is tight and the main weakness of this lounge. Instead of picking which seating type you'd like, you basically take the only seat that is remaining. Drinks: There is a large bar with bartender. The OJ is delicious. Near the flight screen is a hot/cold water dispenser and a fridge with carbonated drinks. The sparking water is on the counter next to the water dispenser. Food: The best way to describe this is with pictures, but my favorite two entrees on this day were fried shrimp wrapped in this potato "string" that makes it look like a cocoon, and a crab shell that is stuffed with crab and mashed potatoes. There are salads that actually look appealing, and other hot entrees including roasted root vegetables. There is a rack of fresh/raw honeycomb next to the bread, and instead of peanuts there is a bowl of dried apricots. Everything is just nicer. Food is super tasty, and better than many airport restaurants. Service is good, food is quickly restocked before the trays go empty, and plates are cleaned up quickly. There are two large TVs showing the news, and a screen with the latest flight info. There is also a meeting room available that looks like a nice conference room that you'd find in a corporate office. read more
I've been to three - LAS, SEA, & HK. What's compelling is that here's delicious asian food here in Hong Kong which is not found at the other two. Thus far there are differences with other lounges like priority pass or United, American, & the Escape brand. That means if I plop you down blindfolded, you'll know which Centurion Lounge you have been sequestered in. Firstly the Asian food, er Chinese is great. 'Nuff said. Next let's talk about the outstanding full bar (or to insiders : leg!) with it's own special menu different from the other 2 centurion's. Like all Centurion's, you want, they have...botanist gin from IR, cognac & etc with no problem & no throttle (see LAS review where they only give you 1 cocktail with your id; you can't even get the 2nd for your husb, wife, friend, or travelling companion as they must come to the bar themselves) Here, they turned the tv on to the superbowl for us which was great as we were travelling that day & had a 3.5 hr layover. The biggest drawback is the space with people constantly coming & going... never was crowded the 2 times I was here but I can see where it could get to be that way. There's only one shower so make sure to sign up as there's certainly a wait but several no shows so I got in in about 35 minutes. I'd definitely come back here but don't think it's going to be like the Pier (a famous HK airport lounge). read more
