Oy kids gave us a gift certificate to Caleb's. We went on Tuesday which is burger night. My husband loves trying burger all over. He ordered that with soup and I ordered soup and a starter for my meal. I was told is is a small portion which I'm fine with. It was more than enough and I took a strip of it home. I had the short rib grilled cheese. No much of a cheesy taste but good. We took a crumble dessert home with us to share. Three bites each for a $8. dessert. We came for brunch upon the recommendation of a co-worker. Caleb's was gracious about accommodating an extra person in our party despite being very full. The interior is charming and the menu is fantastic. Our party struggled to pick just one selection! I came to grab a bite for lunch. I waited for awhile before being seated and they maybe had 3 table taken. And the room was full of open seating. After ordering a soda. The lady said she'd be right back well 20 mins later literally 20 mins later! And the place by then was getting pretty busy I watched all the servers take new customers and look at me as they pass by with other customers food. By this time I'm livid and leave a $10 dollar bill on the table for the soda and left. I will not waste my time going back. read more

What a delightful meal I had on June 18, 2020. I had the tofu dish, and the Salted Caramel Brownie dessert. But the highlight of the meal was the Chilled Pea Soup. It was the most delicious soup I have ever had. I am not kidding! I admire Caleb's creativity in his cooking, and it was evident in this soup. I am also so appreciative that he uses veggie broth in many of his soups. (I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian.) Been here several times. Tonight was a swing and a miss. Salmon overcooked to well done when requested medium rare. Rib eye steak was quarter inch thick that might be acceptable for a Philly cheese steak. This was supposed to be a 10 oz rib eye "special". My wife and I ate here last night for Valentines Day and were immediately treated to a wobbly table and a lengthy wait to put our choices in. The amuse bouche was tasty however the chestnut bisque that we chose was literally room temperature and we had to use teaspoons to eat it since the waiter didn't give us soup spoons or return to the dining room until we were finished with it. My wife's filet was so so, my lobster was cooked well but I had to ask for drawn butter and was told by the waiter that butter was already poured over the top. I asked him to please get me some additional so that I could use it for the claw meat and was a bit irked that I felt as though I had to explain why I wanted some more. After the entree plates were taken away the waiter returned about 2 minutes later with the dessert. We both wanted coffee but none was offered and the waiter didn't return to the table until we decided to leave without it. Overall it was a disappointment and we won't return. read more

This was literally the worst meal I have ever had. Everyone else at the table felt the same way and we all ordered different things. The appetizer was good (but simple) and our hopes were high. We had a horrible experience when we dined here. My burger was frozen in the middle and my husband's jambalaya included hot dog instead of sausage, he sent it back. Visited Caleb's for my mother's birthday with 6 adults and 1 child for dinner. This place was amazing. This is a small restaurant but the service atmosphere and food are outstanding. This is a BYOB so keep that in mind, we brought 3 bottles of wine and 12 craft beers to enjoy with our dinner. Appetizers Crab tacos 5/5 Tuna Poke 4.5/5 Stuffed mushrooms 5/5 My brother got the steak cooked to perfection, medium rare cool center. I Had the pork chop cooked to medium, this was the juiciest pork chop I have ever had. My wife had the shrimp with gnocchi. My mother, father, and sister all had the lamb shank and fettuccine huge portion juicy and full of flavor. I high recommend this restaurant to anyone that is Bucks or Montco area. We were so impressed the first time we came with your gluten free allergy friendly menu when visiting to buy a home in the area. We were like wow we found our new breakfast place. This was in July. Fast forward to September 15 and we're living in the area and came by. They now carry no Almond or Soy milk for coffee. This is unfortunate because so many wonderful gluten free options but who goes to a breakfast place if they can't enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. No good coffee with breakfast is very very serious infraction that would result in no stars if possoblFIX this grave restaurant breakfast place mistake as soon as possible. We will give it one more shot by calling ahead of time and making sure you have almond milk and soy milk in the restaurant before we leave the house and revise this review with an update at that point. I am happy to say they have corrected this and on the past two occasions the had proper almond milk or soy for coffee. read more

Food was delicious, but can't say it was fabulous service. Our waiter never checked on us, even when it took nearly 30 minutes for our breakfast to come out. Neither management nor servers seemed to care and definitely didn't acknowledge that the kitchen was taking so long. Went there for breakfast. First thing I noticed was the loud music and type of music. Not interested in loud paul simon era music at breakfast. The food was presentable but tasted bland. I had an egg sandwich which looked nice but not much taste and $9.00. Service was nice and efficient. Coffee was average but not great . Prices were high and overpriced imo. I have been there twice and had the same experience. Fyi- Music should be used for background and not to drown out conservation. I can safely say we won't be returning. We walked in to the empty restaurant at 4:50 on a Saturday for an early dinner and stood by the door not knowing where to go or what to do as we watched the staff stand and talk to each other. Finally my boyfriend had to ask "are you open?". We were met with a couple blank stares and then a "are you here for lunch....?". We weren't, but said ok and the hostess seated us. I was SHOCKED to find out she was our hostess. She was walking around with a tiny black skirt, a mismatched shirt, and thick black motorcycle boots while everyone else wore long pants/sleeves and a fancy vest. It was completely unprofessional and I thought for sure she had to be a customer. We were seated in front of the air conditioner and I was immediately freezing. I looked around the empty room at 3 dirty tables with breakfast plates that hadn't been cleared. Keep in mind the restaurant was empty and the staff was talking when we walked in, so this should not have been an issue. (In all fairness, our waitress was rolling silverware when we walked in). The glasses we were given for water looked filthy, but upon closer inspection seem to all just be worn/scratched badly as they were plastic. My boyfriend got the burger and I got the fish tacos. The food took so long my boyfriend considered having us just leave. I could understand a long wait if it was busy, but we were literally the only table. I think the worst part was when another woman came into the room at this point and started sweeping the stairs while we were waiting for our food. She was sweeping everything that was on the stairs onto the floor by our tables and I was instantly repulsed as I saw debris and dust flying every where. It was disgusting. The whole time i felt like I was almost intruding. The hostess at this point was trumping back and forth in her Gestapo boots cleaning and setting silverware on the tables around us. The staff was yelling to each other across the room and talking the entire time. The Food: It was just ok. Boyfriends burger was "fine", but very small for a restaurant burger. fries were good. My fish tacos were alright, it literally the equivalent of one fish stick in each taco (and there were only 2). The rest was just tomato and filler lettuce. I left hungry. The only positive was our waitress Hollene was very sweet and attentive. She even noticed me freezing and turned off the air conditioner. We waited over 30 minutes for three salads and when they came, the greens were warm and wilted. We would have been better off going to Panera. There, the greens are always cold and crisp. We first experienced Caleb when he was head chef over at Marsha Browns. His food was always excellent and he would graciously greet the diners when possible. Fast forward and it has been some time now since he left and opened his own place just past Peddlers Village oddly enough named.......Calebs. LOL We usually head to the area early morning so this has become our breakfast stop. Super fresh local ingredients nicely done. You can literally taste the difference as opposed to a diner breakfast. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This time around, it was restaurant week and we finally got to try dinner here. A fixed menu with a few options for apps and entrees. My app was the mushroom bisque which was excellent. Perfect consistency and that earthy flavor that mushrooms are all about. Entree was the surf and turf. Filet medallion and crabcake. The filet was cooked medium as requested and the crabcake was what it should be..........real crab!!! Twof of the greatest foods on earth combined in one plate. You can't fake a steak, but with crabcakes, many try. Probably 80% of the time you will get fake or little crab meat and more breading than crab. Not this time!! Dessert was a trio of offerings. A little too much wine has me struggling to remember what they even were other than we all cleaned our plates of it!!! A great spot for breakfast or dinner when in the are. They ger very busy and the parking is limited. There are a few spots on each side of the restaurant so be aware. read more

This restaurant deserves to be successful. Firstly, the food is very high-quality with an innovative choice of dishes made with fresh, local ingredients. But the added bonus is that this is also a great destination for gluten-free diners as Caleb goes above and beyond to cater for us, many gf options are marked on the menu and the staff are extremely knowledgeable about food intolerances and allergies. They even have Udi's gluten-free bread and rolls! I believe Caleb's consideration of the gluten-free diner is because his own daughter has celiac, so he is well aware of the challenges we sometimes face when eating out. I love the way they have breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is hands-down my favorite breakfast spot in the area. The other reason this place deserves to be successful is that, unlike other upscale restaurants in the region (ahem, D'Floret in New Hope), the very personable chef Caleb will come out and talk to diners and he always remembers my husband and me when we come in. He is not afraid to consult with you if you have any questions on food intolerances or allergies either. That personal touch really makes this place extra special and memorable. There's nothing worse than shelling out for a good meal at a place where the chef is too arrogant to come out of the kitchen, but this is not the case at all here. Try it, enjoy it and come again! After passing this spot daily for the last eight years, albeit under another name, I noticed the name had changed. The new sign had a clean, sophisticated look that made me want to check it out. It's a BYOB, so we brought our favorite red and entered from the backdoor, considering there is parking behind the restaurant too. We were greeted at the door by Caleb, the chief/owner which was a nice start. The vibe is the room was cool, with two levels to dine. The upper level was more chic, with earth tones and modern decor. A few steps down is a very open, glass enclosed room that must be full of sun for breakfast, but was very romantic at night. Before we ordered, we got warm, crusty bread with delicious EVOO poured over fresh herbs for dipping. Nice presentation. Once greeted by our waitress, we questioned an item on the menu upon which she offered to ask the chef if he could accommodate us. The effort was noteworthy. I got the tuna poke, which was fresh and served on a bed of shaved cucumber in a Martini glass. I requested the roasted macadamia nuts on the side because I wasn't sure it would work. My beautiful wife ate the chop chop salad which she enjoyed but I thought needed a little more texture. For entrees, I got the seafood risotto with two seared sea scallops on top. It was creamy with large pieces of lobster and shrimp. The Bistro steak was perfectly prepared medium rare. Once cut into, the juices came out and it was evident it was going to be very tender and it was. My wife really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it. For dessert, we had the flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream & chocolate syrup drizzled over to the top. When it arrived it at the table it was nice & warm. My husband and I went to Caleb's for our anniversary since we'd heard lovely things. And most lovely things were true. The restaurant is cute, the food is good. The big issue we had was about customer service and kitchen cleanliness. When asked about dietary restrictions, my husband said he doesn't eat any pork products. He asked if a salad could be modified to not include bacon and our server said that would be easy. However the salad arrived and there was bacon in it. We asked to send it back and were refused because the chef said he didn't put bacon in it. Long story short, he used the same bowl as he does for every other bacon-filled salad and didn't bother to even pretend he cleaned it in between. He did eventually send us a new salad, but wasn't particularly apologetic and did not comp us anything. The experience was less pleasant as a result and now I worry about how clean the kitchen is or how they could possibly handle people with food allergies Just a warning to anyone with serious food restrictions! read more

We stopped in today after a morning of strolling around Peddler's Village, and I'm so glad we did! Peddler's Village has been known for some fairly unimpressive restaurants and we were hoping to get something that wasn't your run of the mill lunch. After reading some quick reviews, we decided to take a few minute walk past the shops to Caleb's. We loved the decor of the restaurant. It felt a bit more modern than other local restaurants without being pretentious and was perfect for a nice lunch. We started with the potato soup (free, thanks to our yelp check-in) It was delicious! It was buttery and creamy and all good things a cream soup should be. We ordered the Noble Pig and the Monte Cristo. YUM!!!! These sandwiches are seriously delicious. The Noble Pig had a pulled pork on it that was stellar. It was seasoned perfectly (garlicky, herby and delicious) and tasted similar to carnitas, and paired with bacon marmalade and spiced ham. We also shared the Monte Cristo, which was on an amazing french toast brioche bun. We loved every bite!! The fries were a bit average, but were nice and hot so they were a perfect lunch side. Our server, Fabrizio, was attentive and friendly. We had a great experience and will be back soon! read more

I'm a New Hope resident. I've only been to Caleb's twice for dinner. The food ordered was good, the décor is clean in a minimalist, modern style and the servers are attentive. However, my complaint is that the "vibe" of the restaurant which is slightly pretentious, possibly snobbish. Granted, maybe I've come on off nights but that's been my experience on both occasions. Too hot to cook tonight, and tired of the usual suspects. We've always wanted to go when visiting Peddler's Village, but it never worked out. We called, Caleb answered and we had reservations for 2 in no time! Caleb confirmed it was a BYO and we were all set. The menu has a wide variety, it's unusual to find one where every item was one I wanted to try. We had the beet salad, lobster rolls, sustainable salmon, and the crab cakes. Each was memorable. Can't wait to return for dinner, or brunch to try everything else on the menu. I see that Monday is locals 3 courses prix-fixe $24, Tuesday's is burger night time to build your own. Needed a bite to eat with the family after checking out peddlers village. Decided to walk the 100 yards away from the village because of the Yelp reviews for Caleb's. It was absolutely the best decision of the day! Everyone loved their lunch! Burgers were excellent and my wife had the avocado BLT. Meanwhile I thought the Ahi Tuna sandwich was outstanding! Was in town with my mother. This place came recommended. Excellent service. I love that it is BYOB. We shared the HALLOUMI & HUMMUS salad. It was good but tiny. The menu highlights a couple of ingredients that were basically garnish. Not good value for the money. The entrees, on the other hand, were larger portions than I expected. My mother thoroughly enjoyed the SUSTAINABLE ATLANTIC SALMON. I ordered the BEEF FILET MEDALLIONS. The beef was perfectly cooked, the decadent potato croquettes werr delicious and they veggies were cooked perfectly - bot too raw, not overcooked. We were unfortunately too full for dessert.
