It was fair, but nothing totally special. Some things on the menu were really good and scales with the price of the dish. This was kind of odd, because usually the dishes all are made to the same quality in a restaurant. Our group had two salads, a burger, and I got the Chicken Kebab dish. Both salads were good, the peach special came with buratta which was great, the Caesar was fair and matched the price. Kebab was cheap and the greens didn't taste fresh or crisp like the salads. The tzatziki sauce wasn't very flavorful. The burger was also good because they actually served it rare as requested, normally restaurants will overcook them. I'll also mention the tables around us were served significantly faster than us despite arriving the same time or later than us. Took a little over 30 minutes for ours. read more

We stopped in on a beautiful late October autumn Sunday evening and grabbed a bite to eat at the bar. The food is always good. The wine and drinks are good as well. What stood out to us was the service. The place was busy and clearly not all service staff showed up for their shifts. The waitresses did not lift a finger to help the bartender and were all complaints. One manager kept complaining and trying to tell the bartender how to do her job better but only slowed her down. He put dirty glasses in with the clean ones, took the wrong drinks to the wrong tables... you get the idea. Then there was manager Steve. We know his name because he was hard not to notice. As we ate our dinner at the bar, he slammed chairs into ours - he slammed every chair into place. He slammed dishes, threw menus down. Worst of all, without noticing and paying one single compliment to his bartender Stephanie who single handedly waited on the entire bar, high tops, and service staff for drinks, he yelled at her and criticized her in front of customers. Not only was he wrong, he epitomized poor leadership and everything managers should not do. Stephanie was outstanding in every way. She should be appreciated and applauded. The ambience is gorgeous, very well appointed you'll love eating in this place my scallop with mashed potatoes and green beans dinner was Heaven On Earth! Ate every bite and loved it We also got a steak over mashed potatoes again. You really can't go wrong here. The food is so delicious! Visited peddlers village with my husband over the holidays and decided to eat at Earl's. Our friends live nearby and recommended it and we were not disappointed. Definitely make reservations ahead of time as they do get super busy. We started off with the meatballs , lobster dumplings , burrata and tuna crisps . I really enjoyed all of it, it was delicious. I also got a butternut squash soup which was so good. For entree I ordered the shepherds pie and it was great and very filling. Everything was wonderful from start to finish. This is my second time dining at Earl's New American. Both visits were terrific! When visiting Peddler's Village, I would recommend making a reservation in advance. Earl's is no exception. For a large party, we booked 2 weeks in advance. The restaurants book very quickly during the holidays. It's a beautiful atmosphere with a wide bar area and tons of available seating. With our group, we were seated in a private area, which was perfect! Our waitress was excellent- knowledgeable and accommodating. She provided us with great menu suggestions. Earl's had a seasonal lunch menu. I ordered the butternut squash soup and chicken salad sandwich. Other favorites included the Turkey club and crab cake sandwich. They were terrific! Our party loved the winter sangria as well. We did order desserts, too. We found them to be on the average side. Earl's is also surrounded by some shops and a beautiful gazebo photo op! I have nothing but positive things to say for Earl's! This was our first visit after moving to the area and our first time to Peddler's. We came on a busy Sunday evening during fall festivities and walked in without a reservation. We asked for outdoor seating which they accommodated right away. The outdoor seating was wonderful on a nice day. Service overall wasn't the fastest but we didn't mind. For drinks: I was pleasantly surprised that they easily made me a custom cocktail with seasonal ingredients upon request (apple cider - since I saw it on the menu for other options - and bourbon). For food: The fresh bread to start was warm and perfectly sized. To start we shared oysters and the seasonal gnocchi, which I wouldn't order again. Our family held a baby shower at Earl's. Everything was perfect, from the initial planning, food, drinks, etc. They have a private room on the 2nd floor for events. The employees (Steve - Mgr & his staff) kept the food & drinks stocked & made things run very smoothly. The room was beautiful - they supply the tables, chairs, tablecloths & napkins, we supplied the decorations. The food was excellent - we had appetizers, a breakfast brunch buffet, soft drinks & they even worked with us on two different signature mocktails (which were both a big hit). We ate here again last night and I thought I would update my review since the last one was t years ago. The wedge salad before dinner was great. It had plenty of dressing and was the classic iceberg wedge. The fried porchetta was a great surprise and replaced the traditional bacon. It tasted great. The ribeye was cooked perfectly rare exactly how I ordered. It was tasty and was exactly what one would expect for the price. The service was great. The server even fixed our table as it was a little wobbly when we arrived. For wine, I had 2 glasses of the Zinfandel which was deep bodied and tasted great. Peddler's Village is a fantastic place for a restaurant and you can always walk around after dinner. The bottom line is that this is a very nice upper end steakhouse located within Peddler's Village. Well it started good & ended badly. Apps to forever, but were very good. I had the clams casino & my wife had the lobster dumplings. Clams were good, dumplings were better. Then it got ugly. We both ordered the prime rib, which we ordered rare & medium rare. Both came out dry & tough as shoe leather. The accompanying baked potatoes were covered with fried onions & covered with a thick piece of cheese. The potatoes were barely cooked, still hard & revolting. A great fine dining restaurant to go to while visiting Peddlers Village. We came on a Monday when it was quiet and peaceful to see the scarecrow after bike riding on the D &R trail. We sat outside where we were surrounded by beautiful flowers. The service was very quick. I ordered the short ribs and it was delicious! Only complaint was the carpets were not fully cooked. As someone who is fortunate enough to spend many summers in NJ, my standards for seafood are very high. I started with the crab soup and it was very creamy with lots of crab meat. The star of the day was the crab cake sandwich. Without a doubt, the best crab cake sandwich I've ever had. It was recommended by one of the servers and he wasn't wrong. It was all crab with a tangy sauce and some corn that perfectly complimented the crab. It was amazing. I'm still thinking about it days later. Had lunch at Earl's for the first time. we were there early and it wasn't busy yet but it still took longer than expected. we ordered the pork schnitzel sandwich and the shepherds pie. Our waitress said the delay was due to the shepherds pie needing to be baked which would have been ok if it was good but it wasn't. There was hardly any meat and not many vegetables (no peas at all). The calamari appetizer? Amazing! Crunchy and delicious, we all ate it up in minutes. The chicken thigh sliders are consistently delicious. The hand cut fries and chips are a highlight for me personally. December is a busy month so make sure you make reservations! I haven't tried any desserts yet, but that will be my mission next time. We have been going to Earl's for years. Primarily to savor ( and I mean SAVOR) the she crab bisque. It is truly spectacular! Every spoonful is like culinary heaven! We had a wonderful, comfortable meal at Earl's on the first night of our vacation. I normally don't think much of restaurants in malls, but this one was special. Very nicely done interior--just what we were looking for after a long day in the car. My husband had the 5-hour Braised Short Rib and loved it. I had the Pork Chop which was juicy and tender and came with mashed split peas (first time I've ever eaten them and they were really good). Chocolate cake for dessert. Beautiful fall day...Indian summer as it was 80 degrees. Perfect day to dine outside at the height of busy season at Peddlers Village. The popular scarecrows all around. I kept forgetting about Earls and finally today my friend and I decided to have lunch there. Weekday...but still very crowded therefore we were surprised to be able to get an outdoor table at lunch. Once we were seated and ordered our drinks and food we realized just the reason only patrons with dogs were sitting outside at their beautiful patio. Bees! Yes, they were annoying as we swatted them away throughout our lunch. It was a bit uncomfortable but felt stuck at this point bc the inside was full. Now I understand the surprise look the host gave me when I requested outside seating. We should have been warned about the bees. The umbrellas did NOT do a good job of shielding the strong sun and that added to an additional annoyance. Sitting outside was definitely a poor choice. Our bad and hopefully learned from this mistake. The menu was not large but had nice choices. I started with their fall featured martini which was a "ruby tini." It sounded interesting but unfortunately it sounded way better than it was. Not a great pour and was a bit overpowered with grapefruit. I don't recommend. My chicken panini was good (not memorable) and homemade chips were quite good. I took half my sandwich home which was not great as a leftover. Just too dry. My friend started with the lobster dumpling which she enjoyed. She also ordered a humus plate. The very small amount of hummus was overpowered with oil and the pita bread was disappointing...needed to be softer, grilled or whatever...it just didn't work. Seemed like it came right out of the package and onto the plate. Overall, I was glad to try Earls but since we were not blown away we will move it to the bottom of our list. read more

So, the five of us could have been seated and ordered drinks and appetizers. Instead, we stood and waited. Foolish on the part of management - they lost sales. We order the Lobster Dumplings with sweet soy for the appetizer, and the Pan Seared Scallops and Pam Seared Salmon for our entrees. Wow all dishes were exquisite and the flavors so unique and original-like! The scallops were curried and had a hint of peanut butter. The salmon was over a bed of chickpeas with light tandoori spice and yogurt dressing with cucumber, golden raisins, honey, lemon, and mint. I also had a pear drink with rosemary that was okay. I felt it needed some more flavor to it as it was too subtle, but it didn't take away from the amazing meals. Stopped into Earl's after very cool aquascape class that was held upstairs. Sat at the bar for a late dinner and glass of Prosecco. We were able to order some food before the kitchen closed at 8. I was so pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing and fresh flavors abounded. Complimentary warm rosemary bread with a whipped sweet butter came out while we were waiting. Raw oysters in the half shell, lobster ravioli and the she-crab soup were amazing starters. The soup was fantastic actually and maybe my favorite. Enjoyed the fried tomato and burrata and swordfish specials for an entree. The swordfish was fresh and served with a fantastic cucumber peach salsa. So happy we decided to stop for dinner. We were visiting peddlers village for the day and planned to have lunch here on Sunday afternoon. We were seated immediately at a window table which l always love because we can people watch. We started with shrimp cocktail which was served on ice, that's exactly how I like my shrimp served! The she crab soup, and lobster dumplings. We shared everything, the dumplings were the best we ever had. They were cooked perfectly and the sauce was perfect. We also shared the crab cake sandwich, which we always get with no bun. I'm shocked how many positive reviews this place has. I've eaten here multiple times over the last year and my biggest complaint is the lack of consistency. The drinks are rarely good. I've ordered martinis and mixed drinks, and they struggle to produce a decent drink. The food is also mediocre at best. I've had a few good meals but also bad oysters, poorly cooked steak, gross sauces and incredibly slow service. I'm sure if you're visiting it'll be ok but for a regular this place needs some upgrades. read more
