Beautiful place but you can stop there! Get ready when you walk in to be checked out from head to toe by the hostess that by her attitude I would assume is the owners daughter. She did not greet us at all instead we had to ask if they were open and serving lunch, to which she replied, " we are actually not open and the hours fluctuate until maybe mid April? She said we could look around but that the kitchen was closed. Again, the decor is beautiful and it does look like it could be promising but after the way we were greeted and reading the other reviews we don't need to experience anymore. Excellent food! Excellent quality! You won't go wrong with the cheese and charcuterie appetizer, which by the way, it's good enough for four.....if you are willing to share. Food is not bad but the parking situation is horrible. Today was my second visit there and I got towed for parking in the CVS parking lot due to their lack of availability for parking. The lot they towed my car to was all the way in Hialeah I had to pay 145 dollars and I'm almost 3 hours late to work. Very unfair. This restaurant needs to sort out the parking situation or I wouldn't be. surprised if they go out of business. read more

This restaurant is absolutely beautiful and when if first open the food was fresh and delicious. However, not that they have been open for a few months the food quality has gone south. Several times we've gone for breakfast and mention to the waiter we would like a tortilla. My husband always request the same thing, please heat it up in the oven. Originally there was no issue. After a few visits a waiter told us "there's no oven to heat up the tortilla, we only have a microwave. " can you imagine? We're paying very high prices for food to be heaters in the microwave?!?! I can do that at home. The last few times the tortilla came refrigerator cold. This is completely unacceptable for what is considered to be a high end place. Although we had several bad experiences for dinner we did decide to try the restaurant for dinner. When we walked in the hostess asked us if we had a reservation; a pretty typical question. We had chosen this restaurant for dinner at a last minute and did not have a reservation. At this comment, she immediately looked down on us and said there was only one table by the door that she could sit us in, despite having several tables and booths available throughout the restaurant, no patrons waiting and no patrons behind us. This hostess is completely unfriendly, and should not be the face that people encounter when they first walk in. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. read more

I went to CalaMillor for lunch on father's day and I did not enjoy the food nor the bill. My wife and daughter's had the special rice with shrimp, calamari, and other seafood and the food was real fishy. I had the other pork special and the food serving was the size of a tiny appetizer, it cost $48. The rest of the appetizers were OK but nothing to write home about. I even got charged for a couple of slices of plain bread to eat with the Iberic ham. The service was not bad! read more

What an amazing experience! FINALLY, a Spanish restaurant worth its weight in jamón ibérico de bellota! (Since Begoña sold "Xixòn", there's been a dearth of quality Spanish restaurants that are not owned my José Andrés!) From beginning to end, the service and food were first rate. We had the Ibérico ham croquettes (for which the bechamel sauce was divine!). They were quickly followed by just-as-amazing shrimp in garlic sauce croquettes. Next up: octopus in a Parmentier sauce (so rich and delicious); shrimp in garlic sauce (just the right amount of garlic); the steak tartare followed and was eaten up by the table in seconds flat! Finally, the creamy seafood rice made its entrance - it was a creamy seafood paella with tastes that remind of the wonderful seafood available from the Mediterranean. For dessert we chose the Black Forest cake and the Lemon Pie. The perfect ending to a wonderful meal; they were not overly indulgent; but satisfied the sweet tooth! Executive Chefs Javier and Luis Miguel came to the table to make sure we had enjoyed the lunch and to make sure that all the dishes lived up to their standards. Owners Alberto García and Alexandra Gisbert also came to the table to ask us how we'd enjoyed the meal. This personal touch by those involved in providing such an amazing culinary experience made that experience that much more amazing, pleasurable, and ensure that I will return over and over again. I highly recommend Cala Millor to anyone looking for an amazing Spanish culinary experience - and not one that is the cookie cutter "tavern of Spain" menu that permeates most Spanish restaurants in Miami. read more

Start to finish this was a really bad first experience. We waited for 20 min to get seated and once we were seated, we waited for almost an hour before anyone came to take our order. We were about to walk out when our table was finally approached. At the time they took our order we were advised that the items we ordered had ran out. We ended up ordering from the bakery and the only good thing were the croquettes. Went Friday for lunch, very nice place, we had paella and it was disappointing, great bread which is not free, and the crema catalana was excellent. When I requested the check, the waiter showed me the bill on his computer, and asked me to sign after tipping, except that the bill already had the tip included. No wonder it looked a little pricey.
