Great fresh food. Nice friendly staff. Everyone seemed very happy and we really enjoyed the food. We ate breakfast and lunch items. All were good. My one year old grandson was with us and they were very accommodating, his Mac and cheese was the perfect temperature, not too hot! Service with a smile and on Monday's, free drink was included with the tacos! That was a nice surprise. $8 drink included, yes read more

Delicious. Quick, friendly service. They were busy and almost every seat was filled, but you would never know it... the service was spot on and food was amazing. We will be back. read more

Tried this place out for the first time and have mixed feelings. I ordered the cinnamon roll french toast for $14.00, which is described as "2 cinnamon rolls dipped in our house-made french toast batter topped with powdered sugar and fresh whipped cream," but what I received was a single cinnamon roll cut in half (which is what I guess they count as two), barely any powdered sugar, and no whipped cream. The bottom portion of the cinnamon roll was slightly burnt as well. My wife ordered a California chicken sandwich with cajun fries. The fries were good and she enjoyed her sandwich, which is why I gave it 3 stars. Tl;dr: Avoid the cinnamon roll french toast. It's not worth the price. read more

I didn't know what to expect, but I got a fantastic Thai beef salad. The meat was cooked to perfection the way I requested. And the vegetables were crisp and fresh. Service was quite attentive, and I would definitely go back again. Someone else at a table, got the onion rings which were crispy and the coating was also quite tasty read more

We came here one day to give it a try and it doesnt disappoint. Had their chilaquiles and they were really good. The plate is huge with large portions. Had some fries as well and they were really good. The other person in my party enjoyed their eggs benedict but really wanted to try the crab eggs benedict, next time. So glad to see another restaurant. Hoping they do well as places in this plaza have had a terrible track record. read more

Had a great BLT and Caesar salad for lunch. Staff is so friendly and food is fresh and always delicious. Highly recommended.

Tried this place on the way home from San Francisco to Modesto and it stuck out from the popular reviews. This place EXCEEDED expectations. Great food & service. 10/10!!! read more

Calafia Kitchen - It's The Simple Omelet & Breakfast Burrito - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Livermore, California

The service here is top notch! They treat you like family! The owners are the sweetest people!!! All the food is amazing and made fresh. I love their salads! Everything I've had here is delicious! I highly recommend this place! read more

Calafia Kitchen provides great food and service! We ordered burgers and tacos to-go from their grand-opening menu, and we were delighted by the quality and quantity. We knocked one star off for mixing up our orders (onions and jalapeños were inadvertently added to one of the three burgers, and one burger was missing the second pattie). However, the sensational tacos and fries made up for the burger blunders! read more

My wife and I went to this restaurant right after its grand opening. The owners were extremely cordial. The server was attentive and made sure that we were well taken care of. The atmosphere is quaint. Something that you wouldn't expect. There are not many tables; however, everything is clean and immaculate. There is a nice patio for outdoor seating. They have a nice selection of wines and they even have tasty beers for those into IPAs. Best of all is the food. During our initial visit, we ordered from the breakfast portion of the menu. My wife got the Brazilian Omelette and I got the Calafia Omelette. Incredible! Very good and each time we have been there, it is the same. Super flavorful. Don't sleep on their Tacos! Off the chains. My favorite is the Calafia Burger. Fire! So juicy! What sets it off is the fried egg on top. Try it! You won't be sorry. What makes me happy is that this is the place that we go to each Sunday and the owners make us feel like we are home. read more

Last Monday I went to eat at Calafia and food was amazing ! Romeo was my server and he was so professional everything was on time on my table I didn't need to ask plus his recommendation with the Chilaquiles on green sauce was amazing. I really cannot believe that was my first time over there. I leave in Livermore since 20 years ago and I'm so glad to know this restaurant thank you Romeo for everything. Excellent Service make a big difference read more

This place is fantastic, I came for breakfast and had the mr fresh omelet, only because when I red egg, provolone and pesto sauce I thought strange combination. O my god! it was amazing I enjoy every bite, veggies were cooked perfectly, also presentation was great. I also had their cafe de olla, I definitely think this is the best I have tried ever and should be their star item since it is so unique, the flavors come together perfectly and its not too sweet. I can't wait to come back and try their whole menu. Overall I enjoy the visit, place is warm, cute with friendly staff and the service was excellent. read more

I ordered the trio tacos: shrimp, steak and fish and it was not good. Meat was bland, they just drenched sauce on top of it and steak was chewy. I had high expectations considered the ratings. read more

All the meals have been wonderful. Breakfast, lunch and dinner try it all. Service was outstanding.

We decided to give this place a try based upon all of the good reviews, and we wanted to try something new. We went during prime dinner time on a weekend and there were only a handful of people there eating there, which struck us as odd. Our server was nice and somewhat attentive. The food was lacking across the board. I ordered a salad with steak which was okay but the salad lacked an acid punch and was bland. It could be good if it just had a little bit more seasoning or that acid kick I mentioned. We also tried the kids macaroni and cheese, which is good but not for children. They are using sharp cheddar so neither of my kids liked it. I will give them kudos for at least making the macaroni and cheese and not serving Kraft. For children a good Velveeta style macaroni and cheese would probably be better. We also tried the chicken strips and those taste like they're just out of a bag and thrown into the deep fryer but also lacked seasoning and we're bland. It was also served with some sort of blue cheese sour dressing that my kids definitely would not eat. The last dish we tried was the chicken sandwich which was the smallest piece of shaved chicken it was like half of a chicken breast and again it lacked seasoning and not enough sauce, if there was even sauce on it. This place could be good but somebody is not quality controlling food. When your restaurant is nearly empty you should be bending over backwards to ensure your food is good and your customers are happy. This is on the other side of town for us so I don't think we will be back. read more

Calafia burger was excellent it was huge and delicious. My wife ordered the chicken apple salad it was super yummy. I am going to try the breakfast next. read more

Great find in the tri-valley. Super nice staff and sold food. Can't wait to go back and try more from the menu.

Great service and friendly staff. The ambiance was perfect for a quick lunch with friends.

The food was good, big portions. The cafe de olla was amazing. The service was a little slow, the ambience was great. We sat inside, they also have sitting outside. read more

Posting this for my parents: They have been here a handful of times now and have loved everything -- waffles, eggs, burger and fries, fish tacos. And the service has been amazing as well. My dad is a stickler for prices and hasn't complained once. We live about a block away and will be keeping this place in our rotation. Welcome to the neighborhood! read more

Let me start by saying my new fav restaurant in Livermore. I went with the cheesesteak. Cooked to perfection and Their own special twist to it with jalapeños and seasoning. Their speciality is their onion rings which were absolutely amazing. Almost would describe as a tempura style lightly battered. Their not tempura style but that's my closest description. Finally the staff couldn't of been more friendly. Support this place Livermore. We need good eateries. The price reflects the quality of the food. Well worth it and zero complaints here read more

Very mediocre food. The service was not very good. We were constantly interrupted. And not understanding what we were asking was very frustrating. Will not be coming back. read more

We went there for breakfast and it didn't disappoint us. Very nice ambience, good food and awesome service. We felt it was a bit pricier when we order but the food quality was awesome and I don't mind paying a bit extra for good read more

Hate to not give four stars when the service is good and the restaurant is trying but come on folks why so many strong reviews. The food is severely lacking flavor. This time around I tried the Calafia burger medium. It was well. The bun fell apart immediately, a huge no no in burgers. Even with the carmalized onions and peppers it was BLAH. My wife tried the 3 tacos. One of each meat and she said they all lacked flavor, bordering on bad. I will say the onion rings were really good. Food just has to get better. read more

So. I give this place about 9months to a year. Tops. Cute inside, but this place lacks direction in terms of their menu. The food itself is, meh. I ordered a Caesar and a grilled chicken taco. The chicken isn't grilled, it's boiled and cut and set aside and they dip it in a red sauce and put it on a single street corn tortilla. It comes with sour cream and a verde sauce, avocado and red onions. Mine was missing the onion, and I got the sauces on the side and it's a good thing because they didn't drain the chicken so the taco fell through in the middle from being so soggy from the boiled chicken. There was so much excess water/ sauce that the it filled the plate completely. It wasn't very flavorful so I'll keep the taco endeavors to the taqueria across the parking lot. Lol. The Caesar was decent but the croutons ( whole house made) were stale and soggy. My mom got the eggs Benny and hash browns. The hash brown smelt like gas from the stove top and she said her eggs were undercooked as they ran clear when she cut into them. The service was decent. Our server was polite but not super informed of the menu or drink options. I doubt I'd come back. read more

This is one of the best restaurants in town. Everything on the menu is so well made & delicious. Every time I go here the service is 10/10, the restaurant is clean, & it's all good energy. I could not recommend this spot more for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. (Portions are great) read more

A friend recommended this place - had never been there. It has a great variety of food on the menu, and it was delicious. We decided to have crepes for dessert, so tried the Nutella and Strawberry Crepes. Delicious! We agreed these crepes were the best we've had. I definitely plan to go back there again. read more

Sad to have to give a small business a less than great review. Talked my husband into coming here with me. My husband ordered the pancakes with potatoes and eggs. He said the pancakes were good but the potatoes and eggs were cold and had no flavor and the server forgot his coffee but he didn't want to remind our server whom seemed overwhelmed. On a positive side I ordered the chilaquiles and a sangria, both were good. I think there could of been more servers since the service was slow and lacking however friendly and nice. Sat outside in the sun which was nice. I personally would like to dine here again for dinner. read more

Amazing little local restaurant with breakfast all day. The food is great, so is the service.

Awesome service and super delicious food !! Must try !! Def will be back again if i get the chance !!

We went there for breakfast on our way back from Berkeley. We got seated right away because we made a reservation; and that got us thinking: "Wow, we won't have to wait ". Ordering drinks and food was easy, but we waited more than one hour for our food!!! The food was terrible; they even forgot my eggs and potatoes and only got me the pancakes. My daughter got really bad chilaquiles... We asked for the bill and they brought it pretty soon and started taking our plates away!!! I assume they needed the table, because they kept accepting people. Anyhow, it's sad that we had such a bad experience. We went there because they had good reviews. Our first server was nice, the second one seemed to be in a hurry. So I am sorry to say that we won't be back, won't recommend it. They had too many clients but not enough workers. read more

My bf and I were big Calafia fans when it first opened, until I had a not-so-good serving of my usual favorite, the red chilaquiles. I was so disappointed that the chicken tasted "old" or just, not good, I was so afraid to finish it for fear of getting sick. We stopped going thinking they had run their course and food was going to start being subpar as they got busier. This past weekend, after not having been there over 6 months, we decided to go back and give it another try. I have to admit, they redeemed themselves. I had the chilaquiles and sub'd the chicken for chorizo. Was not happy that I was upcharged, but what doesn't cost money these days?? I was just not willing to take the chance with the chicken. Anyway, the serving was huge, I ate a third of it and took the rest home, then shared the leftovers with my bf later that day. Literally three people can eat one plate (it's so much food). The sauce was delicious, the chorizo a little burnt, but tasty. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and presentation was beautiful. I will definitely come back again. read more
