I came here for lunch with my very picky grandparents. They really liked how clean the restaurant was and how nice all the servers were. They got there early and so they just had coffee and waited for us. They said the servers were really nice even tho they had been waiting for quite a while. I love that they didnt rush them and made them feel comfortable. The food was really good too! I trued 3 different tacos, which were all really flavorful and assembled beautifully. My grandma loved the little flowers that were on her plate and thought the food was really good too. I personally love tea and they had such a nice selection of different teas to choose from. Overall great lunch and kind service. read more

Found this place by accident. The food was great and the service excellent. I had the Calafia burger which was cooked perfectly. It is huge and was seasoned perfectly. The Cajun fries were delicious...not too spicy, just right. My husband had the turkey club which he raved about. We will definitely be returning!! read more

Very inviting inside, but it was nice to sit outside. Staff was friendly and since they just opened, we were more forgiving on the wait for the food. A bit pricey, and we would suggest having either an appetizer or happy hour menu for those with a smaller appetite and budget. Would try it again once they are well established. read more

Ok food, really slow on service (maybe because of the holiday) Went in for brunch and I think they were overwhelmed Portions are large so better to share if not too hungry read more

Fantastic service. Very clean, literally sparkling. Festive light environment with friendly staff. Our food was great. Breakfast cooked perfectly. We will be back to try the lunch and dinner options that look amazing. Full bar as well with personalized drinks that we will try later. So happy to have found a restaurant like this on Vasco travelling over the hill from Brentwood. read more

A friend and I tried Calafia for dinner and the service was excellent and the food was delicious! We ordered chips and the green salsa to start. And the sliders and chicken piccata! We really enjoyed everything! We'll be back & can't wait to try the chilaquiles for breakfast ! read more

Came back to Calafia today and had the Mexi-Cali burger, wow! This burger came with a patty of chorizo that spiced it up nicely! Great flavor and it was hot off the grill, still steaming when I got it and the brioche was very fresh. The greens, onions, and poblano chile put it over the top. Still more dishes to try next time! read more

Food was delicious, great service and great environment. Mimosas by the bottle for a great price!

Really good food and excellent service. We want to come back to try more items from the menu.

What a delightful find! I had lunch last week with a friend to celebrate her birthday and was looking for a place that serves great Eggs Benedict. I found that and more here! We were impressed from the moment we walked in, with a friendly greeting by the owner, Paula Garcia, who promptly seated us with waters and menus. This place is absolutely immaculate, and I am a little on the picky side. The surroundings provide a pleasant casual ambience, with very comfortable seating, as we spent the next 3 hours enjoying our meals, mimosas, and catching up! Now for starters, we wanted Mimosas and Paula recommended getting the split of champagne that comes with a choice of 3 juices--all for $18! That was a bargain with 3 flutes each versus ordering separately, and we got to sample fresh Guava, Orange, and Mango juices. Delicious! On to the food--I had the Calafia Benedict, substituting Canadian ham for bacon, with roasted red potatoes as the side. The portions were generous, but more importantly, the eggs were perfectly poached and the Hollandaise sauce was excellent! I can't remember the last time I had Eggs Benedict this good!! My friend ordered the Chilaquiles, and thankfully the portion was huge, so I got to share a few bites! It was as delicious as the traditional dish my mother in law made for me 20 years ago, with a unique addition of red onions. After our meals and finishing our last bit of Mimosas, Paula surprised my friend with a homemade flan for her birthday!! Of course it was delivered with 2 forks so I could share this tasty and unique dish. Our host advised that the Chef attended a specialty school in Mexico to learn how to make this and other deserts. This family owned and operated establishment is highly recommended--with a unique hybrid menu, where everything is made with fresh ingredients in an immaculate kitchen! I can't wait to bring my family here and sample so many other enticing entrees!! Thanks Paula and see you soon! read more

The food and the service here are both excellent! Romeo was our server and made our first experience dining here such a pleasure. We ordered the guacamole and chips to start. The chips were freshly made and the guacamole was delicious. We also ordered the Chicken Walnut Salad and the Chicken Malone Pasta. The food tasted great and it was obvious from how beautifully each dish was plated that this restaurant cares about providing their customers with a quality dining experience. read more

OK, so I really like the Mexican coffee, it's already sweet and you don't have to add any creamer. The waffles was a little hard, it came with whipped butter and regular butter. I didn't wanna put too much butter, so it was a little hard to chew. The French toast with soft and yummy very flavorful. It's a nice touch to have a slice of oranges. I am glad we have a new restaurant in town. Nice atmosphere, staff was very nice and helpful and I was able to take a Mexican coffee to go because they give free refills, they have plenty of parking and affordable pricing. I already have plans with one of my friends to go there for brunch in a couple weeks to give it another try. I gave it four only because of the waffles. read more

Service was great and food was delicious! Good portions. We had a group of 6 and almost all of us went home with 1/2 our lunch.

Went to Calafia Kitchen twice in one week: once for breakfast with a friend and then for a late lunch which ended up being dinner with their generous servings! Friendly fast service, lots of menu choices and very good food, what more could you ask for? Well, they're offering a tasting menu on Friday and Saturday nights: $30pp for an app, entree, dessert and a glass of wine! We will be back. read more

Calafia Kitchen is a hidden gem...so welcoming with casual atmosphere. We already knew their breakfast and lunch was excellent, but we thought we would try dinner. It was EXCELLENT and large portions. We had chicken Milano pasta, chicken piccata, chipotle prawns, and pulled pork sandwich for our table of 4. We all raved over all the dishes, along with Romeo providing excellent service and recommendations. read more

Great service great food. Love the Friday clim chowder and crab melt. The breakfast menu gives you some good options.

Good portions. One of the best tasting fries, all of them.... Garlic, Cajun , or regular. Next time I'll try the chilaquiles. They also had a soccer EUFA game in the tv so appreciate that! Didn't appreciate the 2 moms sitting next to us with 5- 6 kids, yelling , crying, under the table, ... those that can't control their kids, stick to BK or McD! read more

Great food (forgot to take pics ) I had the 3 Tacos (steak, chicken & carnitas), hubby had a Calafia burger with HUGE onion rings. Everything was delicious & cooked to perfection. Restaurant & bathrooms are clean and comfortable. Bonus : Happy Hour every night from 2pm to closing. Our server turned out to be the owner, Paula. She was extremely nice and shared the story explaining the meaning of the restaurants name. Definitely will be back. Need to try the breakfast next! read more

We were looking for a breakfast place on our way to the Sierra's for a quick bite and this place popped up. We were surprised there was not a wait on a Saturday as there really isn't a lot of good breakfast places in the east bay for some reason? If you like omelets and Benedict's then this place is for you. They also had us on the mimosas. They also have a yummy Mexican like coffee with a lot of cinnamon and other spices in it My wife had the crab Benedict that had a lot of crab on it. She doesn't like a lot of sauce, so they put the sauce on the side. I had their signature Calafia Benedict and they swapped out the ham for their Chorizo for me which was awesome. Both of our dishes had eggs that were perfectly poached, the sauce was spot on, not too heavy, and the hash browns were nice and crispy. The bathrooms were clean, and there is both inside and outside dining. They have a large patio area and a good size air conditioned inside area as it gets hot in Livermore. Service was good and you are greeted as soon as you walk-in. You can make reservations online, but we didn't. Bottom line, it is a good place for breakfast without a wait. I can't wait to try this place for lunch or dinner at some time as they have a good Hispanic flare. read more

Super glad we checked out this neighborhood spot. They did a great job converting the old dark Starbucks to a light modern decor. Went for Sunday breakfast and food was delicious. Started the morning trying their unique house coffee that was sweet with cinnamon. We tried the red sauce Chiliquiles, Huevos Rancheros and shared a short stack. The plates were IG worthy and tasted as good as they looked! Loved that they included some chorizo in the Rancheros and the Chiliquiles had shredded chicken. Owners husband and our Server were really friendly and attentive. Definitely going back and can't wait to try their other dishes. Everything looked amazing coming out of the kitchen. Love that we have a great spot close to us now. read more

We love this restaurant. The food is fresh, cooked to order and delicious. The restaurant is spotless and the staff is friendly and attentive. We eat there at least once a week. We especially love their shrimp tacos. Stuffed with shrimp, mango, cabbage, avocado and a mild sauce. I like their green salsa. On Monday they have a special of three mixed tacos and a beer or soda for $15. They also have the best onion rings I've had, and the hamburgers are huge. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. read more

4 stars for food presentation. 3 stars on flavor as it was a little bland. Place is very clean. Nice ambience and service was great. Hope they offer more flavor for their Latino patrons. read more

The food was really bland and boring, but still pricey. The hash browns had no seasoning. They had some drinks that sounded good, but were expensive and no refills, so we skipped those. We came to try the food, but I guess the food isn't as important to them as the culture. read more

Really good food. Went on a weekend at late lunch. One server and it was busy and he did a fantastic job. I love the salmon sandwich.

The location is very trendy and clean. Patio has plenty of umbrellas snd cute string lighting for outdoor seating. Our server was on point. I ordered coffee and she refilled three times and twice water for us. Very attentive and friendly. My breakfast was great! I ordered the Calafia eggs Benedict. Side options are hash browns, fruit, country potatoes and veggies. I'm definitely going back to try one of their many salads or a sandwich. read more

The onion rings are like onions in a donut, unusual and delicious. Enjoyed our visit there.

DELICIOUS! we ordered the green chilaquiles and the burger with Cajun fries and it was soooo good! Clean environment, friendly staff and delicious eats. They also play reggeton but not super loud so it's definitely a kid friendly environment. Will definitely be returning to try more food on the menu. They're having their official grand opening on 1/28/23 so I highly recommend giving this place a chance that weekend! read more

Good service and great menu selections. I had the flank steak salad and it was pretty good, but the meat was a bit tough and under seasoned. My mom and sister had tacos, beef and a fish, and they really enjoyed them. Tasty, but spicy sauce accompanied the tacos. We will come again. read more
