Our first visit was delicious so I had to come back again. When we first came to this place my lady was due in a week and sure enough the little nugget came right on time. He's now 2 months old so we were able to come back. The 1 main thing I love about Calafia kitchen is the consistency. First visit I got chilaquiles rojo so my lady got verde this time and I tried out the huevos rancheros with a michelada . Fantastic taste and quality . I like a place that gives you that same flavor you're looking for every time so I'll be sure to be a regular here. Staff were very friendly as usual . I can't say enough about this little Gem. Thank you ! read more

After reading all the good reviews on yelp, I thought I would give this place a try. A little disappointed I found the eggs Benedict to be a bit flavorless. Also, if you want milk for your coffee instead of half-and-half, they will charge you for an entire glass of milk. To be fair, he let me know ahead of time. On the plus side, the Benedict comes with a side and they gave me an extremely generous portion of tater tots. read more

Wow! First time trying this place and everything was amazing. Service was excellent, knowledge of the menu and top plates. Continued to top off coffee, ask how food was and if we needed anything else. Food was great! We each ordered a plate and a shared plate for the table. Strawberry Nutella crepes: 8/10 Steak & eggs : 10/10 Belgium waffle: 10/10 All meat omelette: 9/10 The restaurant is nice & clean! We will be back ! read more

The coffee was good. I ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo. I attempted to customize the breakfast burrito, which in hindsight was a mistake. I have an aversion to eggs (I know it's weird). They burrito ended up solely having chorizo and cheese in it. The quality of the chorizo was good, the overall taste of the burrito was good. I didn't like that I asked for customization and got none. Another member of my party ordered similarly and got everything they requested. I felt as though the lack of communication from the staff was overall what created the issue. If there's confusion just ask. Also don't give someone a customization in the same party and not give the other person the same respect. read more

Just had breakfast at this local restaurant 2 blocks from my house. I'm retired and I do like eating a good breakfast out. I had Calafia's chorizo omelette with the crispest fresh vegetables, it was very tasty. Their country potatoes that I ordered for a side were the best. I eat out and I'm very picky because I'm a cook . I have to rate Calafia's Kitchen the best restaurant in Livermore. read more

I'd be lying if I started this post with, "Every time I venture to Livermore..." because the truth is that I'll gladly make a special trip for a Calafia Kitchen breakfast. Their signature Calafia Taco Meat is a show stopper whether you add it to your burrito, quesadilla, or tacos...you can't go wrong. And OMG, their generous portions - be sure to come with your appetite! For those of you who like a sweet coffee, don't miss their house Cafe De Olla (Mexican ground coffee brewed with cinnamon and sugar). Service is ALWAYS pleasant and attentive and option to dine indoor if it's cold or too hot outside, or outdoor (with your furry friend?) on a gorgeous fall day is a plus! See you all next time, Calafia Kitchen! read more

The BLTA is wonderful, with the best bacon, I've ever had! The house salad is excellent, with cranberries, blue cheese, walnuts, and vinaigrette. I've had their mini tacos before and they are outstanding. I especially like the fish or shrimp tacos. read more

Such a cute spot and chill vibe! We were originally looking for a sushi spot (one next door), but we were attracted to the Happy Hour sign and ended up coming here instead, which we weren't mad about. The service was great; the server and owner of the establishment were super welcoming and friendly. The owner was knowledgeable about his alcohols and shared they had been open for about a year or so. Saturday evenings and another day I can't recall, they do street tacos on the patio with a variety of different meat options, after 8pm. Street corn dip was delicious! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a fusion style restaurant. read more

Great food with timely service and a good atmosphere. Our first time here and we will be back!!

First time today. Very clean and plenty of parking. Service was quick and attentive although it wasn't busy. I had the meat lovers omelette and it was super flavorful. My wife had the green chilaquiles and she thought they were excellent. The country potatoes were a little bland but otherwise, experience was great and we'd eat here again in a heartbeat. read more

Wow! Great little eatery hidden in the Vasco Shopping Center. Do NOT sleep on this one. Great service, cute and clean, decent prices .. especially for the portions, and tasty! Been here several times and surprised how they are not packed. Would love to see them get more biz, but selfishly don't want them to get packed once they're discovered. read more

Found this spot on accident actually. We were in the parking lot trying to get something to eat and ran into Calafia. I had the Mexi-Cali Burger with onion rings. The onion rings were HUGE!!! I've never had onion rings this large before. The burger was good but the chorizo patty over powered the flavor of the other items in the burger. Yet, still good taste. I think the one thing it was missing was some sort of spread on the bun. I think that would've brought the burger together. Prices were high but with the area, supply issues, and inflation I can see why that is so. read more

Absolutely loved this new brunch spot in Livermore! Service stands out along with the ambiance. The outdoor seating is plenty and nicely done. Indoors have a great vibe too ( although I chose to sit outside this time). I especially loved their drip coffee . Something with a hint of cinnamon.. Sweetened just enough to not take away coffee flavor. Food was good too.. I tried the heuvos ala mexicana and breakfast burrito.. pretty good but I'll try something different next time. We ordered Mac and cheese for the kids and unfortunately that was served way too hot. I'd suggest they work on bringing kids food down to the right temperature before serving. Overall I like that this place has a nice vibe and good food, plenty of seating and just the best service! I'll surely be returning soon read more

Classic menu, gourmet flavor in a relaxed neighborhood cafe setting. First time here, but Calafia makes a very strong first impression. I had the huevos rancheros, my wife got chicken enchiladas, kids had tenders and fries, and a pancake with potatoes and sausage. Everything was perfect. Seriously come check it out. I plan on becoming a regular. read more

The food was great, service was great. We loved sitting outdoors. Took my family for a birthday and everything was excellent and tasty!

We went for a late lunch on Sunday and were happily surprised at the fresh, high quality ingredients. I had the burger which I think is the first time I had to knife and fork a burger! The meat was very high quality and you could taste the actual grill which is something I love. The garlic fries had just the right amount of garlic (and these were recommended by our waitress). My wife had the BLT which was packed with bacon! Our photo doesn't do it justice but there was tons of bacon. The onion rings had a thick, enjoyable batter. The atmosphere is casual and they do have beer, wine and what looks to be a terrific brunch menu. We will be back a little earlier to try that soon! read more

What a great new place, the old Starbucks in vasco center, done nicely inside, service could not have been better, place was 1/2 to 3/4 full which was nice to see. I hate so say this but this is the worst restaurant I've had in a very long time. My husband and I came here with my brother and his wife for lunch on New Years based on the reviews. A couple things: they took a very long time to take our order. I didn't know it would be difficult to mess up onion rings or tacos but they managed to both. Nobody at the table even enjoyed their food. The meat didn't taste fresh, the seafood didn't taste fresh either. The onion rings were really just not fried long enough. The onion inside was still very crunchy, it's supposed to soften as you fry, ths was for the table and not one person liked them. I'm not sure if they were just off their game or if the meat was sitting out too long but I definitely won't be back. I will say they were nice , but they would need to improve drastically for me to return. read more

my husband and i came to this place because the food looks good online & the reviews were pretty good. if i can describe the two dishes my husband and i chose in one word it would be, FLAVORLESS. He chose the huevos rancheros and i chose the chilaquiles. literally no flavor at all and super dry for $18 no way this is what i'm paying for for this meal. look at the chicken it's so so dry and gross i literally could not eat anymore this place is not good at all. it fills u up in a few bites and makes u feel gross after eating. even their water tasted like coffee. it's like if they gave us water straight from their coffee machine. this place is CATFISH the only positive review i would give is the service was good. read more
