    Fried Chicken

The food did not disappoint. The oxtail just melted in your mouth. The flavor was epic. By the end of my meal, there was no fried chicken left on the plate lol. The service was great. The ambiance was low-key, very clean and put together. Great spot to visit in Del Paso Heights.

The ambience was pretty chill with the Jamaican music playing in the background. The complimentary soup was very good and full of flavor. The jerk wings were fantabulous in flavor and were perfectly seasoned. The oxtails were out of this world. The macaroni and cheese was off the chain, and the plantains were incredibly delicious. The pina colada juice was very refreshing and had the perfect level of sweetness. For dessert, I had pistachio cake, which was simply amazing. Without a doubt, the food was made with love. Many blessings be to this fine establishment.

This is a new business and I will say that the food is really flavorful. It's absolutely amazing. The aesthetics is really nice. It's really pretty. the staff is very friendly. The only thing I can say is I would give them another chance. It took a really long time to get our food, they were having an event and it's a new business so I would give them another chance. I am gonna go there again

The pumpkin soup was tasty. The whole snapper (Escovitch) and Mac and cheese were also good. Beware of the jerk wings starter (pictured) b/c ours was clearly tossed in American style BBQ sauce and tasted like it: No, it was not April Fools Day. The waiter defended these as "jerk wings."

I'm updating my review bc the owners acknowledged the mistake and gave me a refund. I did like the food so I will DoorDash again. I thought the Mac and cheese was fire and the chicken was yummy too. I'll be back to try the Jamaican rice and peas.

The food was so good and seasoned and the service was excellent. I will definitely be back. It also was upscale & the setup was very nice.

We were greeted with warmth and attentive service on a slower Sunday afternoon. This is a newer restaurant in Sacramento and I wanted to come to try their fish. I was very very impressed and pleased with everything this restaurant has to offer. The owner, JP, was so welcoming and very easy to chat with. He started us off with complimentary red bean soup and I enjoyed the light flavors very much. Secondly, the fish I ordered (whole snapper) was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The flavor pairings were also what I expected. I recommend asking JP or another staff about the preparation in order to get the best option for you. The plantains were crispy and delicious, not too salty. Additionally the drinks were very well made, I got the pineapple and ginger drink and it had very good balance of both ingredients. JP even replaced my partner's Mint Julep with the drink I ordered as he said he might have made it too sour. At the end of our meal, he gave us a tour of the restaurant and I am looking forward to seeing how it continues to expand and develop. Very beautiful and clean space! He sent us off each with a rose , a kind and unexpected gesture. I will definitely be coming back several times to try what I couldn't fit into my stomach.

I'm Caribbean and this is the best Jamaican food I've had outside of the south . It was a bit empty so I hope they continue going strong. It's sister companies with du plate.

The ambiance was very nice. The service was warm, comfortable and welcoming. The chef served us complimentary Chicken and Vegetable Soup to start and Chocolate Cake to end the meal. Everything we tried was delicious. We had the Coconut Shrimp, Stamp and Go Fritters, Jamaican Goat Curry w/Salted Green Plantains, Oxtails and Butter Beans w/Jamaican Rice and Peas and a side of Baked Mac & Cheese. At the end of the meal we were even invited to tour the kitchen. Unfortunately, we did not have time for the tour but we were sure to let chef know that next time we come, we will take him up on the offer of the tour. Highly recommended! This place is new and definitely worth a try. We really loved the experience

This hidden gem offers an experience that's unlike anything else in the city. The setup is simple but charming: you literally walk up to a window and order your wine. I believe it's one ring for white, two for red, and three or four for sparkling--don't quote me on that, but it adds a playful, old-world vibe that makes the whole experience memorable. The Wine Window is affordable, laid-back, and surprisingly quaint. It's the kind of place where the ambiance, the people, and the energy make it feel more like an experience within an experience--not just a drink stop. I had the chance to chat with John, the owner, who shared a bit of the backstory. He previously owned a full wine room nearby, but when the pandemic hit, he had to pivot. Instead of calling it quits, he leaned into a smaller, more intimate concept inspired by wine windows in Europe. Honestly, I think the scale makes it even better. The outdoor patio is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine while people-watching on L Street, and yes, there's even a restroom available (a rare but very appreciated amenity for this type of setup). If you find yourself downtown, do yourself a favor--swing by The Wine Window, have a chat with John, and enjoy a unique Sacramento experience.
