My boyfriend and I were walking around the plaza and came across Cake Boutique. I went in and spoke with Menakshi, and I found that many of the desserts were made-to-order. I could;ve gone for some donuts but didn't have the luxury of waiting for them since she needed some lead time to make them. I didn't place an order then, but Menakshi left such a great impression on me that I came back a few days later. From our in-person conversation I learned that she a genuine, passionate baker who was dedicated to her craft. A few days later I called her business number, and she advised that I could place my order directly by texting that number. I sent her the products, quantities and expectation of when I should arrive. She confirmed my order and told me the total price. I was able to free up some time, so I was able to pick up the desserts sooner than later. I contacted Menakshi and asked if I could swing by earlier, and she said that the desserts were ready for me to pickup. Perfect! My entire interaction with Menakshi via text was super easy, and I appreciated her quick responses. The desserts were excellent. I tried my very best to spread out the desserts over a span of a couple of days, but I ate almost everything as my lunch after I picked them up. These were my purchases and my review on each one: - Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies I'm not particularly a fan of crunchy cookies (I prefer soft and chewy cookies), but these were addicting. They almost didn't make it home, because once I popped the fun didn't stop. The cookies were dense and loaded with big chocolate chips. - Donuts The donuts were baked and made with more of a cake batter. The glaze on the chai donut was sweet and very cinnamon-y. The gulab jamun had a light cardamom flavor and a really nice rose glaze on top with some pistachios and edible petals. - Shooters I was the most excited about the shooters, because I've never tried Indian desserts before. I figured that I'd get a small sample of each, but the shooters were way bigger than I expected! Way to get my money's worth. I got shooters of Rasmalai, Mango Kalakand and Paan Gulkand, and I loved each one. If I had to choose my favorite, Rasmalai would be it. That custardy clotted cream was everything! The Mango Kalakand kind of reminded of a mango cheesecake. Lo and behold it's traditionally made with paneer. Lastly, paan gulkand tasted like nothing I've had before - very unique flavor palate. It had floral rose notes from the gulkand with an underlying coconut flavor. I liked how there were some crunchy bits inside this shooter that added a different texture. read more

Wow is all I can say. No, I didn't not buy a cake here nor do I ever plan to. Menakshi was rude in her reply to me via email and I was appalled. Yes, it's hard to read a tone via email but still, wow. First impression are everything. I was reaching out to a bunch of nearby bakeries to get quotes on a gender reveal ombré cake. I got a quote here while other bakeries broke down the pricing for me and told me things like "if you want just blue or pink inside, it would be $10, if you want it to be different shades of blue of pink cake it would be $40." Knowing that the ombré shade might be why the quote was higher, I asked how much would it be if I just did the single color. The owner's response was rude and really rubbed me the wrong way. She apologized quickly after but the damage had already been done. I've reached out to many bakeries and no one had replied back in such a curt questioning manner as the owner of this bakery did. I told her I don't ever plan on being a customer and I probably never will because my first impression was left sour. read more

Ordered my husband's birthday cake here and must say the design and flavor turned out great! He loved it. My husband is a graphic designer and also is obsessed with memes, so this was absolutely perfect (see pic). I sent a pic of the meme to Menakshi and she executed! In retrospect, I should have asked her to put a white square underneath the cat to complete the look of the meme but that's partially my fault and not totally a big deal. Some of the lettering/font was inconsistent, but I'm aware she does it by hand so I wasn't expecting exact comic sans font. However, this inconsistency detail actually added to the meme in my opinion. One of the cat's ears fell off before it was time to present, so just wishing that was a little more secure. We resecured it with icing as you can see lol. Other than that, the cake was ultra moist and delicious. He opted for the guava cake with vanilla buttercream. Very reminiscent of a tres leches cake the way the guava cake was soaked. So good. Before committing to the full cake I bought 4 cupcakes to see which flavor we'd go with. All the cupcakes we tried were soft and yummy also! She also accommodated a date change; it was my fault that I gave her the wrong date by 2 days, but she was still able to accommodate me for pickup. My hubby has been doordashing their shooters for awhile and the fusion spin on traditional Indian desserts of rasmalai and gulab jamun are perfect! I decided to order a chocolate cake for hubby's 40th birthday during this pandemic. I sent her a multi tier cake from the internet and she made a single tier version serving 6 people to perfection! No fondant, not too sweet but decadent and rich chocolate with chocolate mousse. All our friends were delivered the rasmalai shooters and they loved it as much as we did! We ordered our wedding cake for Cake Boutique. It was a gulab jamun two tier cake serving ~45 people. The cake was extremely well made. Very moist (As requested). Menakshi (the owner) is very easy to work with. Very accommodating and responsive. She arranged a small tasting for us and also gave us suggestions for decorations on the cake. My first time ordering from an Indian bakery & there's always a first for everything! I doordash'ed the rasmalai and mango kakaland shooters. Both had their own unique flavors. Rasmalai is like an Indian version of tres le che and mango kalakand is like a cake form of mango lassi. Just the right amount of sweetness. Updated review: We stored this in the freezer and throughly wrapped it in plastic wrap and a box. I removed it from the freezer and put it in the fridge the day before. One year later, still looked great and tasted great. Mind you I was a little hesitant eating essentially a "year old cake". I finally had the chance to drop by this cute little store to check it out. It just so happened that I needed a vegan cake for my boyfriends birthday and when I asked about how long it would be before I could pick it up, the sweet lady told me that it would be done in an hour! They bake some cakes early in the morning and then decorate when ordered. They offered vanilla, mango, and chocolate vegan cakes but they also have some delicious Indian inspired flavors as well. My daughter really likes strawberry cake, but it's really hard to find a place that has this flavor, so I was really happy to find Cake Boutique. I ordered strawberry cake with Bavarian cream filling and it was so good. It was not too sweet, which was great! On top of it, the cake was super cute. Although we didn't have a party for my daughter due to Covid, we still wanted to have a cute, small cake for her and Cake Boutique made it happen! The customer service was great too. I was messaging back and forth with Menakshi and she was so professional and friendly. She was easy to work with and so accommodating. I ordered a construction site themed cake for my 3 year old son's birthday and Menakshi nailed it. It tasted as beautiful as it looked. When even the health conscious folks help themselves with multiple servings , you know the cake was a hit :) the butterscotch flavour had the right amount of sweetness, not too sweet which we liked and was very light and moist. Lots of subza beans and noodles, made with ice cream. It was definitely a great treat! Was not a fan of cupcake, macaroons, or cheesecake. Cheesecake filling was not as creamy as I would like and was very crumbly and hard. Cupcake frosting completely fell off cupcake, looks like too much oil base frosting. I went to this place a few times before but I haven't written a review for it yet. Today, I decided to come here again. I ordered two coffee dalgona, one Matcha dalgona, one Gulab jamun donut, and a white chocolate hot chocolate bomb. My youngest sister took the Matcha dalgona while my other sister and I took the coffee dalgona. I didn't get to use the hot chocolate bomb because my youngest sister demolished it with a fork. This review has been long due. Since my last review, we got birthday cake for our kid twice from Meenakshi and both were amazing! For one of the birthday cake, Meenakshi was able to reproduce the exact cocomelon cake I had in mind and it not just looked good, but tasted amazing! We hardly had any left after the birthday. The second one was a simpler design and exactly what I wanted and tasted yum with beautiful texture. I dont think I will get birthday cakes from anyone else! :) read more

Noticed this cake shop a couple times while visiting the Silver Creek plaza and my friend's birthday was coming up and the reviews for this place bought me! The owner is very nice and open to communication and will try her best to accommodate you the best she can. I gave her a reference picture for the cake I wanted for my friend's 21st birthday and she did such a great job I was so happy with the result and my friend was even happier!! I came exactly at the time we scheduled and the cake was in the fridge ready for me to pick up. I got a mango cake with strawberry buttercream and they compliment each other so well! Double matcha was not overly strong or caffeinating to me (love that they do not charge extra for this option btw)- my caff tolerance I'd say is relatively high or above average for sure. Surprisingly, at that matcha level the taste is not overly bitter at all. And the regular sweet is perfect (I normally get 50% sweet at boba shops). Same with the ice level, I think their regular ice level is fine (I normally get less ice at boba shops). The Lychee matcha has great lychee taste, not artificial tasting, it's a great blend of both lychee + matcha. The Yuzu is leaning towards the 'lemonade' profile without being overly citrusy. More refreshing than the lychee matcha, but both are refreshing anyways due to the nature of their flavors! I think I prefer the lychee matcha normally, honestly hard to say which flavor is better! The service is great, and they make your drinks very fast. The taste is very consistent, and they do have a large menu with lots of different items other than matcha. My only downside is the variety of matcha over the recent year. From last year and this year, the menu for matcha has not changed much, and it seems like I get the same taste every time I go. While the first time was enjoyable, after it just gets repetitive. I love Izumi, but I really wish there was a rotation between drinks.

Sipping che through a straw definitely beats spooning it. Make sure to thoroughly mix the drink and crush up the ice a bit before indulging. On my first visit I didn't notice the kiosk and ordered with the cashier so I was confused at how I would know when my order is ready because I didn't get a number or a receipt, but I later noticed the screens displaying that information on the wall. I'm a big fan of pandan jelly. The red pearls can be good but can sometimes have a bit of a crunchy chew in the center. Young coconut has a good flavor but a texture that isn't my favorite. I did not like the jackfruit in the Ha Long Sunset, but the flavor wasn't strong enough to ruin the whole dessert. I feel like che is a dessert that is not necessarily expensive or time consuming to produce, and the milk tea/fruit tea prices here are definitely on the pricey end given their component ingredients. Yes I would revisit, especially when I need dessert late, but I feel that making che at home could be the cost-effective alternative.

I ordered their Jasmine Milk Tea with boba. It took over 45 minutes - almost an hour to get just 1 drink. Either they do not have enough people working or they just take really long because it was not that busy for a weekend afternoon with only a few people ahead of me in line who has not gotten their drinks yet. The milk tea was not good at all, it was bitter and tasted more tea than milk - it was not that creamy and it did not even taste like it was a green / jasmine tea base. I took a few sips and toss it because I felt like it was not even drinkable - I felt a bit queasy drinking it.
